Avatar f tn 5mm consistent with a gestational age of 7 weeks and zero days.a small yolk sac is identified . The gestational sac measures 19.1 mm, consistent with a gestational age of 6 weeks and 6 days. There is normal cardiac rate and activity, measuring 128 beats/min. These measurements are consistent with a composite gestational age of 7 weeks and zero days. This is within one standard deviation of the patient's menstrual age of 7 weeks 5days. There is circumferential placenta developing...
Avatar f tn Gestation age according to last menstrual period is 7weeks 6 days Scan is showing gestational age of 6weeks 1 day so baby is measuring smaller then it should by 1 wk 5days (are you 100% sure about dates?) Foetal heart rate not seen (could b too early) Yolk sac is what feeds the baby between conception and 12 weeks so that's a good sign I have no idea what the rest should be (measurements etc) so can't help u with that part!
Avatar m tn The best time to estimate gestational age using ultrasound is between the 8th and 18th weeks of pregnancy.
Avatar m tn Basically, gestational age includes the two weeks in the beginning of the cycle, starting with the first day of her last menstrual period. Since your wife did IVF, however, they just add 2 weeks to the time from retrieval to get gestational age. Hope that makes sense.
Avatar f tn Thanks a lot,but the sonologist too ask my last date of menstrual period and she says that the baby is accurate according to gestational age.
Avatar m tn re the father if the gestational age was that low at the end of november. Keep in mind that gestational age starts from the last menstrual period, so the actual conception date is generally around 2 weeks later. That would make conception most likely in mid october, not september. Ultrasound scans can be off by a week or so, but generally not much more than that. Still, the only way to be 100% sure is to do a dna test when the baby is born. Good luck.
Avatar n tn You count the length of your cycle from the first day of your last period to the first day of your next period. The length of your mentration does not calculate. Once you know the average length of your cycle, you can find out when you are supposed to O.
216278 tn?1308861082 So really, the development of the fetus is two weeks behind your gestational age. So if you are 24 weeks pregnant, that is your gestational age, but your fetal age is 22 weeks. In that case, it has been approximately six months since the first day of your last menstrual cycle, but only about 5½ months since you conceived.
Avatar n tn So it is not necessarily the change in cycle length (or a change in the luteal phase) that is the cause of a miscarriage, but rather the fact egg quality continues to decline with age. Medication will not get your ovulation on track, but you may benefit from assisted reproduction with or without a donor egg if ovarian reserve (that is to say egg age) is a major concern. Best regards, Dr.
Avatar f tn You actaully concieve roughly two weeks after this date. It is a gestational age not the age of age of the actual baby. So for example if you are five weeks into your pregnancy then the time of conception was actually three weeks ago.
Avatar f tn Right, 7 weeks one day on August 11. That means, you count back 5 weeks one day to determine the time when you actually were fertile and conceived. And that's July 6. Because you get two "free" weeks. I know it's confusing - I think really, you just have to accept it but not necessarily understand the counting formula.
Avatar f tn It's because that's your baby's gestational age. I am currently 39 weeks plus but my baby's gestational age is only 37. Most people go by when the last menstrual cycle was, so off of that, you are 10 weeks pregnant. Hope that makes sense to you.
Avatar f tn There is the gestational age which include the 2weeks prior the ovulation and the conceptional age which is measured from the first day of the fecondation ( the fecondation can occur until 3-4 days after the ovulation). In all the countries, the pregnancy is measured starting from the first day of the last period as it is more accurate for them to follow the progress of the pregnancy.
Avatar f tn This relies on the growth of the normal gestational sac of 1 mm per day after the 4th week of gestation. For example, a gestational sac measuring 11 mm would be approximately 5 weeks and 4 days gestational age. (4 weeks plus 11 days = 5 weeks and 4 days)." So, a gestational sac of 6.6 mm = 4 weeks + 6 days. heres a website provides detail regarding gestational sacs http://www.ttuhsc.edu/elpaso/som/obgyn/obgyn101/my%20documents4/Ultrasound/1st_trimester_ultrasound_scannin.
Avatar m tn As per the LMP age calculation 18 weeks but ultrasound gestational age shows 22 week.........
Avatar n tn If you conceived on April 15th, gestational age would begin on April 1st (2 weeks prior) and gestational age would be 7 weeks and 2 days as of today. If the dating was based on your LMP then you would be closer to the 8 week mark.
7826987 tn?1401691041 Pregnancy dates can vary by 2wks, sepending on length of cycle, what day the sperm actually hit the egg, etc. Since you're right around 2wks off id say theres no problem at all. An ultrasound is the BEST way to date a pregnancy. The embryo cant lie.
Avatar f tn For the majority of women, a shorter-than-average menstrual period is no cause for concern. As women age, their cycles regulate and the days of bleeding may shorten. It's not uncommon for women to have periods lasting only a couple of days. Women who are worried about the decrease in the number of days on their menstrual period should consult their physician. lifestyle of the woman. Stress from work or relationships may cause the bleeding to become more severe or stop sooner than normal.
3138931 tn?1350940318 The 40 weeks is based from the time of the start of your last period. So your conception date is when you ovulated which normally the sperm has about a 24 hour window to get to the egg and attach itself. Then it takes a few more days for the egg to attach itself to the uterine wall and that is the implantation stage. For me my lmp was oct 20 (when my period started) and I ovulated on nov 2 so that was my conception date. I am due TODAY!!! Yippee..
Avatar f tn on 17 jan my usg shows i am 6 weeks 4 days preg,my lmp was on 24 nov,2009,my usg report says, A WELL DEFINED FUNDAL GESTATIONAL SAC WITH A SINGLE VIABLE DEVELOPING EMBRYO INSIDE OF 6 WEEKS 4 DAYS MATURITY SEEN AS ASSESSED BY CROWN-RUMP LENGTH (C.R.L. ) OF 6.3 MM.EMBRYO CARDIAC ACTIVITY IS WELL DETECTED IN BOTH REAL-TIME SCAN AND DUPLEX DOPPLER WHICH IS AROUND 121 B/M.SECONDARY YOLK SAC IS SEEN ADJACENT TO EMBRYO.CERVIX APPEARS NORMAL IN SHAPE WITH ENDOCERVICAL CANAL DIAMETER OF 3.0 MM.
Avatar m tn Quick recap. I have a few months dating my girl and recently found out that I will be a father. So we go see the doctors and she mentions that her last period was feb 10. The doctor then starts to do some calculations and ends up telling us that she is 8 weeks and the due date is mid november. So then I start thinking it over in my head and say that is so wrong, like so very wrong.
Avatar m tn Keep in mind that gestational age is based upon the assumption that a women has a 28 day cycle and ovulates on Day 14 (and on Day 14, the date of conception, baby is considered 2 weeks gestation). But many women do not have a cycle that fits into this "norm" and thus pregnancy dating can be a little off...and for early benchmarks (such as heartbeat...
Avatar f tn The CRL is highly reproducible and is the single most accurate measure of gestational age. After 12 weeks, the accuracy of CRL in predicting gestational age diminishes and is replaced by measurement of the fetal biparietal diameter. In at least some respects, the term "crown rump length" is misleading: For much of the first trimester, there is no fetal crown and no fetal rump to measure.
Avatar f tn With that in mind and the fact that i took the pill, when did i most likely become pregnant? the 16th or the 20th?
Avatar f tn However, I think you'll probably need a paternity test to be sure.
