Avatar n tn I have irregular period cycle. Ave period length is 2 weeks, with 2-3 weeks "break" in between. It causes my calendar to mess up (we're trying to conceive). Is this menstrual cycle normal? Any advice re timing?
1564933 tn?1295208126 if you soak a super absorbent napkin every 1/2 hour or so (that is excessive bleeding that needs medical attention). I would say the bleeding is probably more than a normal period, though, and perhaps for more days than average.
Avatar f tn I have been having my menstrual cycle for over a month now and it's starting to smell like metal or iron. I also have this pain on my right side. It's not a heavy flow but it's messing with my lifestyle. What should I do?
Avatar f tn I went about 6 months without a cycle but now am in the 5th week of a menstrual cycle. I am TIRED of it and ready for it to end but no end in sight!!! Anything I can do or just tough it out knowing the end is near?? I am taking vitamins and trying to eat right but not really exercising, just don't really feel like it.
Avatar f tn I have the same problems that you do or did with my cycle. I’ve been ignoring my abnormal cycle for a year already. I was just thinking that my body was starting to go through the change & it was like a Big Bang period blowout. But it still hasn’t stopped flowing. I will wake up drenched & my bed & bedding ruined every month atleast once. (My bed is peroxide drunk & I don’t think my bed can handle anymore peroxide.
Avatar f tn Hello, Femitrone and morning after pill when taken together can cause withdrawal bleeding and irregular menstrual cycle and it should not interfere with the working of the emergency contraceptive pill. However keep a check on your periods. If you miss them then do a urine for pregnancy test after 1 week of your menstrual cycle. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn I'm in the process of receiving AI. My mentrual cycle is 28 days, however after my first AI Procedure I've had a second cycle in the same month! (Full blown bleeding). Going forward, which cycle do I now calculate from, the first one, or this second one? And it obviously now means, I've lost the "egg" and didn't "take"...? Is it necessary to still do a pregnancy test?
Avatar f tn A woman with a light period is not gaining much thickness in her endometrial lining during the early part of the menstrual cycle. This is usually an indication that estrogen levels are lower than normal. If estrogen levels are low, progesterone levels are likely to also be low and a woman may or may not ovulate with her cycles.
Avatar f tn then try taking a pregnancy test. since you had bleeding 15 days after your normal menstrual cycle it could have been an implantation bleeding. but I'm not a dr. but I would definitely test after you miss your next menstrual cycle. good luck to you, hun!
Avatar f tn I had 3 girls and last 2 years I had period for almost 2 months, also worried and after reading some blogs I decided to do a HPT and blood test and both came out positive, however due to excessive bleeding (which I thought was my period) I lost my baby. After that my period came back to normal cycle. So this time is the total opposite of what I am facing back then. Not sure what to expect after this? Wait till my period comes or is it a sign or menopause?
1314413 tn?1274115504 A change in diet, exercise and even increase in stress could cause a noticeable change within your menstrual cycle. If you start having any other symptoms (i.e. tender breast, nausea, change in appetite and or excessive tiredness) that would suggest that you are indeed preggers you should have some blood work or an vaginal ultrasound preformed by your OB/GYN and or family doc. HPT aren't as always accurate as we'd like for them to be. Best wishes and God bless as well!
Avatar f tn I have been on my menstrual cycle for 3 weeks now and i'm starting to get worried. Should I be? I was in the hospital recently with an abscess in my throat and the day after I was released I started my period and it is now 3 weeks later and I am still bleeding and passing alot of clots. A friend told me it could be my body getting rid of all that infection from when I was in the hospital. I am still worried though. Can you give me some advice?? PLEASE????
Avatar f tn Here recently I have been having some issues with my menstrual cycle. I bled for 3 weeks. Stopped for a week and a half. Started again for another week. Was off for a week. And just today I started bleeding again. I have recently tested negative for all STIs. I'm not sure what is going on here. This is highly unusual.
