Avatar f tn If you have sex before the period is due, and the period comes as usual, then you are probably not pregnant. But having sex right after your period does not reduce the chances of getting pregnant, in fact, that's some pretty good timing for getting pregnant.
Avatar f tn then try taking a pregnancy test. since you had bleeding 15 days after your normal menstrual cycle it could have been an implantation bleeding. but I'm not a dr. but I would definitely test after you miss your next menstrual cycle. good luck to you, hun!
Avatar n tn I am on day 38 of my menstrual cycle. I normally go between 26-28 days on my cycles. I have taken 2 pregnancy test with a negative result. I have NEVER missed a period without being pregnant ( 2 pregnancies). I have been taking Lexapro for the past year. I have stopped cold turkey due to was not sure if I was pregnant. My concern is not having a period with a negative result on a pregnancy test. I have been feeling dizzy, small cramps, tired, and moody. I am so confused. Anyone have any input?
Avatar n tn You count the length of your cycle from the first day of your last period to the first day of your next period. The length of your mentration does not calculate. Once you know the average length of your cycle, you can find out when you are supposed to O.
Avatar m tn Chances Are You Probably Are Not Pregnant Unless You Normally Ovulate During your Period. My Period Is Only 5 Days Long Normally But My cycle Ranges From 26-29 Days... How Long Is Your Cycle.
Avatar m tn Thanks louieforlaughs that was really helpful. MJREY i appreciate your effort.
Avatar m tn It usually occurs regularly, around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle. Intercourse on the third day of menstrual cycle will not result in pregnancy. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn It would be quite difficult to determine if you are pregnant. While the average menstrual cycle is typically 28 days, a normal menstrual cycle ranges from 21-35 days for adults and 21-45 days for young teens. However, if you have had unprotected sex and feel you could be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test.
Avatar n tn Is that why you are concerned cause you do know when you ov or you just what to know exactly what day your period is going to come, bc same rules apply when my cycle comes, I count 11 days from day one then I test with opk to make sure I'm ov'in which I do every mth, no matter how off my cycle is.
Avatar f tn you actually can if you have a very short cycle, the typical 28-30 day rule does not apply, sperm can live for 5 days if you have sex the day befoe your period is due, your period is for 3-4 days and you have a very short cycle, so ovulate the day after, the sperm is in your tubes and therefore will fertilise the egg and off we go, the same as having a short cycle and having sex while you have your period, some women ovulate durning the las t day or two of their periods so can get pregnant then
Avatar n tn I've been having my menstrual cycle every 12-14 days for the last 3 months. My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I don't think it has to do with either one of them, but I will soon find out.
1147609 tn?1263583431 My menstrual cycle was 25 days two months ago and 23 days this cycle. Now here's the background: I've always have perfect 28-day cycles. I could even judge with quite a bit of accuracy whether they would begin in the morning or in the evening. After a second trimester miscarriage three years ago, they went back to normal in two cycles. After the birth of my son (and while breastfeeding) they went back to normal in two months.
Avatar n tn As AnnieBrooke said, sperm can live inside you 3-5 days. If you ovulate on day 12 or earlier of your cycle, you could get pregnant from these two times. It is always best to use protection and not leave it to chance. Even the pull-out method is nowhere near as protective as a condom or pill.
Avatar f tn Hi there, Are you referring to your menstrual cycle tracker? Or are you using the My Cycles app as well? According to your menstrual cycle tracker, you are on cycle day 33. If you are using the My Cycles app, the pink/red lines on certain dates are when you are on your period. The green lines are when you are expected to be fertile or in other words, when you would likely ovulate. Your predicted period is shown with pink/red and white lines.
Avatar f tn A woman with a light period is not gaining much thickness in her endometrial lining during the early part of the menstrual cycle. This is usually an indication that estrogen levels are lower than normal. If estrogen levels are low, progesterone levels are likely to also be low and a woman may or may not ovulate with her cycles.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 17 years old, I'm a virgin. However, I had a last menstrual period in the middle of May. I still did not get the next period. I had a pain in the uterus from the last period, but only every few days and like always before the start of the period. Breast pain also occurs every few days but again not as much as ever before menstruation. What could be the reason for the delay over a monthly period?
Avatar f tn I'm in the process of receiving AI. My mentrual cycle is 28 days, however after my first AI Procedure I've had a second cycle in the same month! (Full blown bleeding). Going forward, which cycle do I now calculate from, the first one, or this second one? And it obviously now means, I've lost the "egg" and didn't "take"...? Is it necessary to still do a pregnancy test?
