Avatar f tn This is usually an indication that estrogen levels are lower than normal. If estrogen levels are low, progesterone levels are likely to also be low and a woman may or may not ovulate with her cycles.
Avatar n tn I've been having my menstrual cycle every 12-14 days for the last 3 months. My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I don't think it has to do with either one of them, but I will soon find out.
Avatar f tn On exam it was diagnosed with low blood pressure, irreguar periods and breast lumps. At first the doctor noticed it only on the right and recommended ultra sound but felt more On the left and said she kinda felt a smaller lump in the same area. She told me it should be of no concern if it is bilateral. Blood work results show: vitamin D deficiency, high DHEA levels and pre diabetic levels (I am 0.1 over the high range of normal) I started taking the vitamin D this past Tuesday.
1582332 tn?1296924865 And I have always had bad cramps but now I have large blood clots I really think this messes with hormone levels which has to mess with the cycle. And like they said. It could even have an autoimmune trigger too.
Avatar n tn I was wondering why I get so sick with my menstrual cycle, the first two days are the worst, I feel like I'm gone to pass out. Is there any I can take to prevent these sickness.
Avatar m tn When you're pregnant you don't have a menstrual cycle, because you don't ovulate. You can get vaginal bleeding though, and no this shouldn't affect the levels. It's not your body that produces the hCG, it's the fetus growing so loss of blood in your body has nothing to do with it.
Avatar n tn excessive hair growth, weight gain, irregular menstrual cycle, acne, dandruff, high blood pressure, and infertility. Left untreated, it can lead to other more serious complications, including endometriosis, heart disease, and ovarian cancer. Diagnosed by tests like 2 hr GTT,serum androgen and testosterone levels,LH-FSH ratio, prolactin levels,TSH levels,17-hydroxyprogesterone levels and 3D ultrasound done.3 D ultrasound is the golden test for diagnosing PCOS.
20922415 tn?1661860103 As the follicle develops, it produces the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone, which thicken the lining of the uterus called the endometrium. Progesterone levels rise in the second half of the menstrual cycle and following the release of the egg called ovulation, the ovarian tissue that replaces the follicle (the corpus luteum) continues to produce estrogen and progesterone.
937837 tn?1285350385 I thought after you got ones levels into range the menstrual cycle was supposed to normalize. I have had about 3 50 day cycles since I was diagnosed and started meds. Before my cycles were 37, 49, 34, stopped taking birth control in mid October. Was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for a women with hypothyroidism?
Avatar n tn I am assuming that you are referring to your menstrual cycle. For people with diabetes, it is common for blood sugar levels to rise during the premenstrual phase, due to production of hormones that oppose insulin's action. For those who don't have diabetes, the pancreas adjusts by secreting extra insulin, so blood sugar should not rise.
Avatar f tn Had 9 positives at home went doctors had a blood test came bk.
Avatar f tn Okay...so I was diagnosed with anemia in November, and my doctor put me on Feosol(ferrous sulfate) in December. I haven't gotten a menstrual cycle since probably 2 weeks before Christmas. Does the feosol or sulfate supplement counteract cycles and cause them to stop?
736040 tn?1257436457 Unfrotunatley about a month or so after my recheck I stopped having my menstrual cycle again. he did a recheck on my levels and they were great! To date i have not had a menstrual cycle for a good 3-4 months. My question is...if my thyroid levels are good, then why wouldnt my menstrual cycle be normal?
Avatar f tn In the normal menstrual cycle, estradiol levels measure typically <50 ng/ml at menstruation, rise with follicular development (peak: 200 pg/ml), drop briefly at ovulation, and rise again during the luteal phase for a second peak. At the end of the luteal phase, estradiol levels drop to their menstrual levels unless there is a pregnancy. ************** So basically your numbers are GREAT!!!
Avatar f tn I have the same problems that you do or did with my cycle. I’ve been ignoring my abnormal cycle for a year already. I was just thinking that my body was starting to go through the change & it was like a Big Bang period blowout. But it still hasn’t stopped flowing. I will wake up drenched & my bed & bedding ruined every month atleast once. (My bed is peroxide drunk & I don’t think my bed can handle anymore peroxide.
Avatar f tn Hello everyone i NEED HELP my last menstural cycle was may25 I did a pregnancy test I was pregnant GREAT , i GET a cell today saying my hcg levels were 562 I had the blood test june 29th was that to low for hcg by the time i did it?
Avatar n tn To find out if you do have polycystic ovary problems, the doctor would send you for an ultrasound to get an image of your womb and ovaries and also take a blood test to find your hormone levels. If the womb is fine but the hormone level is not right, the doctor can prescribe a prescription for a hormone replacement. Another reason for missing periods is if you are not eating right and have become anaemic.
