Menstrual cycle after plan b

Common Questions and Answers about Menstrual cycle after plan b

menstrual-cycle

Avatar f tn It usually occurs regularly, around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle. Intercourse just after your menstrual cycle with withdrawal method and taking post coital pills after that will not cause pregnancy. One of the reasons for causing such spotting is of an early upcoming period.
Avatar n tn Plan B will cause cramping and bleeding. You should consider that your period and start from there with your birth control.
Avatar n tn Is the plan B pill the "morning after" pill??? If it is and you were further into your pregnancy it could be causing you to miscarry....or it could very well be your menstrual period.
Avatar f tn plan b could affect ur next menstrual cycle...it may come a little earlier or later. When i took it the first time last year i had bad cramps right after but that was it. when i took it again about a month ago i didnt feel anything but when my period came it was more painful and i felt crappier than usual as far as emotionally. but u shouldnt experience anything too serious or life threatening.
Avatar n tn I took Plan B a few days after my last period, and I had a full week (normal length) of menstrual bleeding a few days after taking Plan B. Now it has been a full month and two weeks since I took Plan B. I have taken two pregnancy tests, and they have both been negative. Am I pregnant?
Avatar f tn I took a plan b pill on October 21, 2016. The first day of my last menstrual cycle was October 12, 2016. It last for six days. I took the pill 3 hours after sexual intercourse. I took an early pregnancy test yesterday and it came back negative. I have not started my period, and would like to know why i haven't and if there's a chance i could be pregnant.
Avatar f tn Its a fact Rd........You cannot get pregnant right after finishing your menstrual period.
Avatar f tn Approximately 30 percent of women in clinical trials experienced heavier menstrual bleeding after taking a Plan B tablet, according to the Plan B prescribing information. The Plan B prescribing information also notes that approximately 4 percent of women experienced a late menstrual period after taking Plan B. Menstruation for these women occurred over seven days later than expected.
Avatar f tn Hello, I have a question my husband and I had sex it was my first time and it was protected sex I took plan B a few hours after I have a 28 menstrual cycle my period came 2 weeks after we had sex a week earlier than expected but it started as dark brown then turned light red and vibrant red it was not as heavy as usual but it did last 7 days and it included blood clots does that state that I'm not pregnant? I would really appreciate a response thank you.
Avatar n tn i did something very rare.. i had sex and took plan b twice in the same cycle before my next period. i know theres only 3-5 days where pregnancy is a major issue when ovulation occurs 14 days after your last menstrual cycle, but im still worried. the first time i took it was about a 21/2 weeks after i started my last period and the other time was about a week after that. first time i took the plan b within 2 hours, and the second time was taken within an hour.
Avatar f tn I have taken plan b couple of times it actually messes up ur menstrual cycle especially it u take it to much
Avatar f tn I had my regular cycle sept 2-5. After taking the plan B, 4 Days later I had another cycle from sept 17-20. It is now 10/7 & havent had my cycle just yet. Should I be worried? I heard the Plan B changes ur body. I didnt get any side effects from taking the pill. I just dont want to be pregnant.
Avatar f tn when a change occurs in the hormonal level of the body the cycle automatically undergoes a change.. the next period that u get after having a plan b can be before of after ur normally calculated date.(.if it gets more than a week late the person needs to go for a pregnancy test)... however your next cycle shall be usual....
869758 tn?1329522052 I know that the way it is worded isn't completely clear but the fact is, anytime you take plan b, it's going to cause some kind of impact on your period. Whether it's breakthrough bleeding, spotting, no period, a heavy periods, or anything in between, any of those can and do happen to someone who takes it. If it were me, I wouldn't be worried about it at this time. Your next period will likely be different due to the plan b.
Avatar f tn Okay, thanks so much!
Avatar f tn Plan B(the morning after pill), as ducky406 said, can be taken up to 72 hours after having sex, although the sooner you take the pill the better and more effective it can be. Though you must also keep in mind that the Plan B pill is not meant to be used often. It is only meant to be used twice in a whole year (no more than that) and should be avoided at all costs if possible (very large dose of hormones that messes up your cycle for a while).
Avatar f tn My period was February 27th I had sex march 1st and took plan b. Then march 8th and took plan b but he didn't ejacuate.... I had sex march 20-22 in protected and he came inside me.
Avatar f tn Okay so I have a couple questions. I'm not on birth control and I had sex with my boyfriend and the condom broke but he did not finish so I went out and got plan b and took it AN HOUR AND A HALF after the incident. I'm mainly worried about the pre-ejaculation if there was any. This was friday and today is Sunday a week after. Since then I have had stomach pains, bloated ness and nausea.
Avatar n tn Don't be alarmed by the lack of menstruations after taking plan b, this is a common side effect. If you're still worried and haven't started your period after another month, you should visit your doctor or local clinic for a blood test, which is more accurate in detecting pregnancy. Also, plan b shouldn't be used frequently or as a source of birth control (>2x/yr), therefore use another form of birth control like condoms and/or the pill.
Avatar f tn Ya that cause ur bc not to "work"ale him wear condoms!! I'm not sure if it would work bc I've never taken plan B, u will just have to wait n see it u get ur period although I've heard after taking plan B it can mess up ur cycle for a month or so.
Avatar f tn t think that was implantation bleeding and neither there are chances of your being pregnant coz u took plan b within time.. the problem is that plan b chances your cycle drastically even causing your periods to arrive 7 days early from the expected date and even have a lighter period than normal.. the hour difference won't be a problem.. so u need not worry as there are completely no chances.. good luck..
Avatar n tn a change in menstrual periods is an important side effect of Plan B pill. With Plan B, the periods should be delayed. The periods should come within 7 days of the expected date. If the periods are delayed by more than 7 days, then please ask your girlfriend to consult her doctor and get serum HCG done. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Avatar n tn I'm 9 days late and I was a virgin in those weeks before my late period. I had protected sex yesterday and my boyfriend thought it would be an safe idea to use plan b, but in case that the condom didn't rip.
