1147609 tn?1263583431 My menstrual cycle was 25 days two months ago and 23 days this cycle. Now here's the background: I've always have perfect 28-day cycles. I could even judge with quite a bit of accuracy whether they would begin in the morning or in the evening. After a second trimester miscarriage three years ago, they went back to normal in two cycles. After the birth of my son (and while breastfeeding) they went back to normal in two months.
1509498 tn?1332872936 Scottish researchers looked at data for nearly 31,000 women who became pregnant after an initial miscarriage. Compared to women who conceived 6 to 12 months after their miscarriage, those who became pregnant again within 6 months were 34% less likely to miscarry a second time. They were also less likely to have an ectopic pregnancy, a cesarean or preterm delivery, or a low-birth-weight infant.
910856 tn?1244214095 i never had a menstrual cycle after the miscarriage so no one knows how far along i am... i went to the doctor today to get an ultrasound for dating... they said they think its too early for an ultrasound cause they couldnt see anything...im going back tomorrow for bloodwork... any advice??? am i actually pregnant.... someone suggested that it was just hormones still from the miscarriage but we took a pregnancy test like two weeks ago and it was negative... im extremely confused and nervous...
Avatar f tn It usually occurs regularly, around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle. Intercourse just after your menstrual cycle with withdrawal method and taking post coital pills after that will not cause pregnancy. One of the reasons for causing such spotting is of an early upcoming period.
1882836 tn?1324024086 She also did a blood pregnancy test which cme out as negative 3 weeks after my last menstrual cycle. However, I have not menstruatated since and my period is about 1 week late!! This hardly ever happnes as my cycle is quite regualr within a day or 2. I have been a bit nauseas, stomach cramps and general stomach weirdness (which i thought may be a stomach bug), a bit dizzy on and off and slightly emotional but otherwise okay.
Avatar f tn I had a miscarriage on Oct 8th my doc also said wait a couple cycles before trying again I was 7 weeks 2 days
1414894 tn?1288769040 The body produces progesterone at certain times of the menstrual cycle, causing the womb lining to flourish. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the womb lining by the end of the monthly menstrual cycle, the levels of progesterone in the body decrease. This causes the body to shed the womb lining (a menstrual ‘period’). If a fertilized egg successfully attaches to the womb lining by the end of the monthly cycle, progesterone levels in the body remain high.
Avatar f tn I experienced a.late menstrual cycle last month. Three weeks late and then three days of light bleeding followed by five days heavy bleeding and tissue passing. the week prior to my period i cramped badly. I suspect now I may be pregnant but feel it too early to test...however I have begun to bleed lightly and pass small amounts of tissue.
Avatar n tn We have not been trying to have a baby but now we are not doing anything to prevent it. Since my miscarriage my menstrual cycle is never right. I have always started 2 days early. The past 3 months I have started 5 days early. Heavy bleeding for atleast 4 days. This past month my husband went inside me and I thought I may be pregnant due to bad cramping and not feeling right in my stomach after eating, etc. I took a HPT and it was negative.
937837 tn?1285350385 I thought after you got ones levels into range the menstrual cycle was supposed to normalize. I have had about 3 50 day cycles since I was diagnosed and started meds. Before my cycles were 37, 49, 34, stopped taking birth control in mid October. Was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for a women with hypothyroidism?
Avatar f tn A miscarriage is the start of a menstrual cycle and she would have ovulated approx 14 days after, everything conforming to a normal cycle. She should take a hpt, her levels would be low enough from the original pregnancy that if she got a positive result it would be another pregnancy. Hope this helps. Period can be delayed also after m/c, she should keep that in mind.
Avatar f tn Hello. I dont have an answer 2 ur question but I do have a question 4 u. I had a natural mc. I started bleeding on sept. 27 and stopped on oct.2. My huaband n i have been having intercoures since oct. 3. I haven't gotten my menstrual cycle as of yet I dont have n symptoms besides being hungry. So what im wondering is did u get a cycle at all n should I take a preg test or should I wait 2 c if I get my cycle n november? Congrats on ur good news!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn I was between 6-8 wks pregnant when I started spotting. Multiple hcg tests were done and my hcg actually fluctuated and ended in a miscarriage that was evident on 10/31. I bled for about the first week of November with the last few days being just spotting. I went back for my follow up on 11/15 and thought I had already felt ovulation twinges the day or so before, with the telltale mucus discharge. The doc said it wasn't possible because my hcg was still at 15.
1703028 tn?1307393184 t think to visit my doctor i thought it was no big deal at the time.
187316 tn?1386356682 Early pregnancy bleeding is not at all uncommon and many women report that they do bleed regularly during the early portion of their pregnancies. This is not at all a menstrual cycle though; it is usually referred to as early pregnancy bleeding. This bleeding is usually is due to hormonal changes and is not of the quantities of blood that a woman typically sees when having her normal menstrual period.
Avatar f tn A woman with a light period is not gaining much thickness in her endometrial lining during the early part of the menstrual cycle. This is usually an indication that estrogen levels are lower than normal. If estrogen levels are low, progesterone levels are likely to also be low and a woman may or may not ovulate with her cycles.
Avatar n tn many women describe light bleeding that is small amount of blood drops as spotting which can be red starting of menstrual cycle, pinkish discharge possible pregnancy or if not trying then possible infection. brownish discharge again possible pregnancy or start of menstrual cycle in which when blood is shown in air it changes it colour looking like really old blood. Heavy bleeding is heavy bleeding which is also determined in various ways.
Avatar f tn It's not really a menstrual cycle. It's not normal to bleed that much and every month no. Some women bleed a little in early stages but if your getting lots of blood you my not be prego or having miscarriage. Call your doctor asap!!
Avatar f tn I had a miscarriage at 9+5 in August last year. It took me exactly 4 weeks after the bleeding had stopped (from the miscarriage) to get my period but my doctor said it can take 4-8 weeks to get a period. It also depends how far along you were when you lost the baby and your menstrual cycle. I hope you're doing well. Also, you're super fertile after miscarriage, so it is possible to get pregnant very shortly after.
