776996 tn?1235679451 Within the past year or so I have been dealing with very severe menstrual cramps that have left me crying in pain on the couch for atleast 24 hours (causing me to miss a day of work and or school). I know the day before it is coming, as I suffer from severe back pain and msot often cannot sleep the night before. While it is generally one horrible day that I cannot bear standing, the pain still lingers thereafter.

Avatar f tn Yes, thats normal. If the pain gets severe or is sharp on one side getting worse and/or bleeding, you need to get to a & e. I get the feint cramping too throughout the day but they dont really compare to period pain...i used to get bad period pain, so i use that as my indicator. Hope you feel better soon.
Avatar f tn I am 11 almost 12 weeks and once in a while mainly when I am relaxing after a long day I feel slight cramps. Never in the same spot just random spots in my lower abdominal area. Should I be worried that a miscarriage is coming?

Avatar f tn I'm 20 and I still have yet to have a normal cycle, last year, I had one period for three days. All the dr.'s I went to told me I was perfectly fine. Having cramps at different times throughout the month is probably just PMS.
Avatar f tn I did up until a week ago and I am 8 + 2. But if you are spotting I would go to the doctor to make sure everything is ok. Good Luck!

Avatar f tn You will have menstrual cramping off and on throughout your pregnancy due to the expansion of your uterus and the stretching of muscles to accomodate baby.
1288353 tn?1279204537 ve also felt mild cramping in my lower abdomen right in the middle. They feel different from normal menstrual cramps though. Is this is sign of pregnancy? Avatar f tn I am 23 weeks and for the past 2 hours I have been experiencing some menstrual like cramping and nausea. Has this happened to anyone else. I have experienced cramps, and round ligament pain but nothing compared to this.
4422728 tn?1355841429 Just wondering because it's called "PRE-menstrual syndrome". Every other month I have cramps before my period, and they continue into the first day but stop after that. Same with sore breasts. But this month is different, I have had a VERY light (only bleed brown and a little red when I pee) period for 7 days (usually it only lasts 4 days) and I have been nauseas for 5 days before i started , and had sore boobs since before then, i have dizziness, and fatigue still too.
557614 tn?1215665302 in a year, i would experience menstrual cramps from 0 to 3 times. but last january 2008, i started having menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea) almost every month when i get my period. It lasts for 1 to 2 days. last june 2008, i had menstrual cramps again for 1 to 2 days. as i was about to end my usual 7 day period, i noticed that i started having my period again. so my whole period lasted for about 2 weeks. now i have my period again.
1703515 tn?1350500231 I have been getting cramps lately and I might be pregnant. If I am I would be four weeks. Is it normal to have some cramping in early pregnancy? I could also be having pre menstrual cramping since my period would be due today.
Avatar f tn I had cramps all throughout my pregnancy and everything was fine and normal. I had my son at 39 weeks 4 days. Cramping in the first trimester is especially normal as your uterus is growing. As long as there is no bleeding it's fine.
Avatar f tn m 29 weeks today, and for the past couple days I have been feeling menstrual type cramps in my lower to mid abdomen. They come and go throughout the day and night but are not regular enough to time. My stomach doesn't harden, so I know it's not BH (which I already have enough of) They do not go away when I stand or walk around. They do however get worse when I lay down or after I eat anything. Has anyone experienced this?
1539436 tn?1292869871 As you get older your body will change. I use to be regular, and now I I'm anywhere from 27-33 days apart. As far as discomfort, some times you will have it, and sometimes you won't. Like this month, I had NO cramps. Last month I did. Birth control can regulate your periods. When I'm on it it usually comes like clock work. So YES it's normal.
Avatar n tn Your uterus will most likely have some form of cramping throughout your pregnancy because it will be growing. Mine has felt like menstrual cramps throughout this pregnancy. I'm nearing my 38th week. Jaslene is right, as long as there is no discharge, you'll be fine. Best of luck!
