menstrual cramps only on left side

So since I haven't gotten many feed back on here like I do on babycenter I was wondering does anyone get cramps on only one side on your first trimester? Like I hadn't had them just yet and tonight I am having them cramps ok and off like contractions... But mild though. Is it normal?

The rest of the pain has been sore, aching muscles on the left side. I have never had muscle spasms occur on the right of the spine in my back in the past; they have always stayed to the left and on the center of the lower spine. No further spasms have been felt on the left side of the spine since the block.

Hello, I'm 23 years old and ever since I first got my first period I've had menstrual cramps on the right side of my lower abdomen. I've never though much of this, until recently when I realized most of the women I know say they feel cramping on both sides, or just on the lower abdomen.

I no longer feel spasms on the right side, though the sharp, aching pain from the left side radiates over the spine to the right side when the pain is severe. Currently, as has been the typical presentation felt for the past few years prior to the stellate ganglion injection, the majority of the pain is comprised of an underlying, constant, aching, sharp pain over the entire lower-left quadrant of my back, and muscle spasms cause a stabbing pain in random intervals over the same affected area.

An episode will usually last about 1 - 3 hours. The pain comes in waves sort of like menstrual cramps. It seems to come on if I have been particularly active, standing for long periods of time, go a long time on an empty stomach, or eat a heavy meal. My bowel habits have not changed nor does a bowel movement have any affect on the cramps. I have daily, regular bowel movements; no constipation or diarrhea.

I'm almost 6 weeks and I get cramps from time to time. The doctor said that it's because your uterus is growing and cervix is stretching.

ve been having weird side ache like cramps for the last 4 or 5 days. It seems to switch from my left side to my right but sporadically throughout the day. I've also felt mild cramping in my lower abdomen right in the middle. They feel different from normal menstrual cramps though. Is this is sign of pregnancy? so i have cramps only on my right side...its not like really bad, its just annoying. are cramps on just one side normal?

This has recently started happening to me. I went to the doctor. He said I was having contractions. That when this happens you are supposed to lay on your left side and drink lots of liquid. Then if they don't stop within two hours to go to the er.

I workout as well... 5 days a week. But this tightening pushing of muscles that comes is only on my right side- like there is something underneath it pushing it outward for just a second. like a muscle cramp sort of. I do have lower back issues as well, tilted pelvis, mild scoliosis, my hips are lower on the right side- not sure if that has something to do with it. But the mild cramping and the spotting I am having right now is what worries me. I am NOT pregnant.

I cant sleep on neither my left or right side, also my body hurts tremendously nd i am always sleepy, what is going on the cramps i have i can deal with a little but is my body telling me labor is very near please help me, i really need to know Thanks

I am almost 6 weeks and have off and on menstrual like cramps anywhere from my sides to my pelvic area. I had an ovarian cyst rupture recently so I was told the pain in my side came from the fluid left around my ovaries and that it would take care of itself. It has been 11 days since the cyst ruptured but I still occasionally have pain. I don't have any spotting nor bleeding but want to know if this is normal (outside of a cyst) pregnancy symptoms. Any advice is great!

Year ago I started Yaz and on the 4th day I got severe leg cramps in my left leg and stopped. About a month and a half ago I started orthocyclen on the 5th day the same thing happened, Sharp stabbing pains in my left leg and leg cramps! Dr. switced me to micronor, thinking No estrogen would help, on the 2nd day the same thing happend! So yesterday I started aviane (lowest dose BCP) and again the same situation.

Try drinking some cold water, go lay on your left side and time them. If they seem like they aren't going away and the pain is getting worse you may need to call labor and delivery amd explain whats going on, and how far you are. They'll tell you what to do from there.

s just the aches and pain from your uterus expanding I am 23weeks now and I still endure the aches and pains at times! To reassure you make sure you lay on your left side and do inks lots of fluids! Your baby is growing wait til you start feeling those kicks soon it's amazing and weird at the same time!

Have you tried drinking water and laying on your left side or taking a warm bath to see if that helps to relieve the pain? If non of that works and u are able to time them I would definitely call ur dr just to be safe since your still very early! Good luck and hopefully its just braxton hicks!

really low and only on the left side, but definite tightening. Is it possible to only have it on one side?

thats is still considered normal you may hav some on the right side or left side or both as lisa said its your ligaments stretching, also you should try and find a dr so you can start your prenatal care

what can be the possible cause of pelvic pain on the left and accompanied by menstrual bleeding continually for the 3 months with only one week no bleding? What is the pain I am having on th left side when walking or sitting.

How far along are you? At 30wks I went to dr & hospital for having really bad cramps & back pain and I ended up getting monitored all day & they said I was having uterine irritability (mini contractions) & they had to give me a preterm labor shot. They said it could've been brought on by dehydration or bacterial vaginosis (an infection I had at the time).

Also a few days ago I was showering and washing up and I started to scrub near my pelvic area and the right side hurt, I thought I must have pulled a muscle, well now my left side feels the same. Here and there I feel crampy in those spots too, like a sharp pain, but no worse than strong menstrual cramps. I also feel crampy like normal menstrual cramps. My cousin said when she found out she was pregnant she had a similar feeling.So I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this???

Here's a strange one that I bet no one's going to be able to figure out, lol. I can't sleep on my left side. I'll get what feels like a stitch in my side and it's so uncomfortable I have to roll right back over. I generally sleep on my right side but sometimes in the middle of the night I might try to change positions but I just can't sleep on my left side without it hurting! Is that crazy or what?

I'm 4 weeks pregnant & I have that 'heavy' feeling like I'm gonna start my period, but no bleeding. Is that normal? & I've also been having little cramps in my left side. Kinda in my upper abdomen. They're not like menstrual cramps though & they do not hurt. What's going on?!

Im 12weeks pregnant and everything has been going smooth, but ive noticed that im getting werid cramps only on my right side. I havent had an ultra sound yet cause my hospital is lagging on my appointment. But have anyone gone through this? What did the doctors tell you? Please answer !
