menstrual cramps left side

I have been having abdominal cramps about 3 inches to the left of my navel for 2 months now. I am a 29 year old otherwise healthy female. I've been to my PCP numerous times and haves seen a GI specialist, and nothing. The pain comes and goes. An episode will usually last about 1 - 3 hours. The pain comes in waves sort of like menstrual cramps.

Since the stellate ganglion block on 3/13, the most concentrated source of back pain has been sharp muscle spasms occurring sporadically along the lower spine and lower-right side of the spine. The rest of the pain has been sore, aching muscles on the left side. I have never had muscle spasms occur on the right of the spine in my back in the past; they have always stayed to the left and on the center of the lower spine.

I'm almost 6 weeks and I get cramps from time to time. The doctor said that it's because your uterus is growing and cervix is stretching.

ve been having weird side ache like cramps for the last 4 or 5 days. It seems to switch from my left side to my right but sporadically throughout the day. I've also felt mild cramping in my lower abdomen right in the middle. They feel different from normal menstrual cramps though. Is this is sign of pregnancy? I took a preg test 2 days ago and it was negative. I'm sure its too soon to tell but has anyone else experienced cramps like this?

I no longer feel spasms on the right side, though the sharp, aching pain from the left side radiates over the spine to the right side when the pain is severe. Currently, as has been the typical presentation felt for the past few years prior to the stellate ganglion injection, the majority of the pain is comprised of an underlying, constant, aching, sharp pain over the entire lower-left quadrant of my back, and muscle spasms cause a stabbing pain in random intervals over the same affected area.

Have you tried drinking water and laying on your left side or taking a warm bath to see if that helps to relieve the pain? If non of that works and u are able to time them I would definitely call ur dr just to be safe since your still very early! Good luck and hopefully its just braxton hicks!

s just the aches and pain from your uterus expanding I am 23weeks now and I still endure the aches and pains at times! To reassure you make sure you lay on your left side and do inks lots of fluids! Your baby is growing wait til you start feeling those kicks soon it's amazing and weird at the same time!

thats is still considered normal you may hav some on the right side or left side or both as lisa said its your ligaments stretching, also you should try and find a dr so you can start your prenatal care

Hello, I'm 23 years old and ever since I first got my first period I've had menstrual cramps on the right side of my lower abdomen. I've never though much of this, until recently when I realized most of the women I know say they feel cramping on both sides, or just on the lower abdomen.

Has anyone experienced menstrual like cramps early in pregnancy? I am almost 6 weeks and have off and on menstrual like cramps anywhere from my sides to my pelvic area. I had an ovarian cyst rupture recently so I was told the pain in my side came from the fluid left around my ovaries and that it would take care of itself. It has been 11 days since the cyst ruptured but I still occasionally have pain.

I'm 4 weeks pregnant & I have that 'heavy' feeling like I'm gonna start my period, but no bleeding. Is that normal? & I've also been having little cramps in my left side. Kinda in my upper abdomen. They're not like menstrual cramps though & they do not hurt. What's going on?!

The pain sometimes was so terrible that I will have this sharp pain on my left lower adominal side. I have gone for check-up/ultrasound with few specialist on my monthly menstrual pain problem. One doctor told me, I have endometrosis, one told me I have ademyosis and the other told me its fibroids with endromitro-cyst. Some of the Doctor even advise me to undergo surgery to remove the fibroid.

Also a few days ago I was showering and washing up and I started to scrub near my pelvic area and the right side hurt, I thought I must have pulled a muscle, well now my left side feels the same. Here and there I feel crampy in those spots too, like a sharp pain, but no worse than strong menstrual cramps. I also feel crampy like normal menstrual cramps. Yesterday I woke up with lower back pain and what seemed like menstrual cramps. I thought I was just getting my period because I was due for it yesterday. However, I didn't start my period and the menstrual cramps seemed to get better but then I started experiencing the left ovarian pain instead. My husband and I have been TTC for 15 months now.. I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it came back negative. My temperatures have been low for 4 days now, and no period yet.

I keep having sharp pains on either my right or left side and I guess if I stop and think about it, it's probably like bad menstrual cramps. It goes away but sometimes takes quite awhile and I have to lay down nor get on all 4's. It happened while I was driving the other day and I thought I was going to have to pull over. I'm 35 + 3 .. I'm having menstrual like cramps coming at irregular intervals , all under 10 minutes with Braxton hicks in between .. I drank water & laid on my left side which stopped the Braxton hicks but the cramps still come & go .. They aren't too bad , but seem to have gotten slightly more noticeable .. What is this ?

I find that they sometimes feel like menstrual cramps mostly on the right side sometimes on the left. I had gone into the hospital on Sunday to get checked because I had them constantly all day.

At 30wks I went to dr & hospital for having really bad cramps & back pain and I ended up getting monitored all day & they said I was having uterine irritability (mini contractions) & they had to give me a preterm labor shot. They said it could've been brought on by dehydration or bacterial vaginosis (an infection I had at the time).

Yes! I had some pretty uncomfortable cramps like menstrual cramps but a little worse and id wake up at night from them. The best thing I found is a warm shower helped. Rocking side to side. Helped me alot. I thought something was wrong too until I went for my first ultrasound and saw bubbys heartbeat! I still get cramps here and their but they are very common.

Sharp twinges/cramping on one side/dull cramping accross the lower abdomen are normal in early pregnancy, mine was SO bad, it felt just like menstrual cramps. Your uterus is stretching to accomodate the baby, it's called round ligament pain and it's completely normal. As long as the pain doesn't become unbareable I wouldn't worry about it, always mention things like this to your doctor though.
