menstrual cramps early

It might be early labor. I have read where premature labor can feel like menstrual cramps. It could also be Braxton hicks but Im not sure. If you have more than 4 cramps an hour, you should call your OB ASAP. That is what the OB nurse told me on Friday when I was having contractions showing on the monitor, although I didn't feel them.

Yeah its normal to have cramps during the early stage of pregnancy and yes you feel bloated.

I woke up to menstrual like cramps today. Today is my due date!!! I'm wondering if this could be pre labor or maybe just braxton hicks? Have any of you experienced this before and did you go into labor??

t break till I was 6 hours into full Labour. The first few contractions do feel like strong menstrual cramps. And not everyone has back labour. I never did with my first. Good luck!

I am also 5 weeks but without cramps... This is my second baby...for my first son...I had a lot of menstrual like cramps early in my pregnancy.

When the uterus stretches it feels like menstrual cramps, mine were a but stronger than regular menstrual cramps. If they get unbearable I would call the doctor just to be safe.

I should mention that I always have back pain during my AF though. When I talk about menstrual cramps, that is what I refer to b/c that is what hurts me. ... Now that I think about I may be weird .... Does anyone else besides me cramp in their back during AF? I think its genetic b/c my mom did and so does my sister. Just wondering ....

Again today it happened but again nothing like menstrual cramps. My question is about discharge though. I track my cervical fluid every month as well as my temperatures so i know wen im ovulating.

For a couple weeks before I delivered I had bad menstural like cramps. I'm pretty sure it's practice contractions because early contractions when I was in labor for me felt similar. My doctor said it was normal. It got pretty intense one night and consistent for a few days. I thought it was gonna go somewhere but it didn't lol. I took Tylenol and waited it out.

It's normal, especially at 5 weeks. More than likely its just your uterus stretching and prepping for changes.

I am 35 weeks tomorrow with baby #1. Been having menstrual like cramps in my lower back and lower belly/pelvic area. It started not last night, but the night before. Occasionally it gets painful and sharp pains spread up towards my belly button. When they aren't the sharp pains that go up higher, it's just a dull ache like the period cramps. But the cramps have been pretty constant for the past hour or so. I know I'm not in labor yet, but could this the beginning signs?

t find too much information about the menstrual-type cramps. Is this something to worry about, or is this just my body gearing up for labor very soon?

Afterwards I needed to whee. When wiping there was blood and it felt like menstrual cramps. I phoned the doc and he said that I should wait until I have contractions before going to hospital. I sure hope I realize when it is contractions. Today might be the day I become a mom.

in a year, i would experience menstrual cramps from 0 to 3 times. but last january 2008, i started having menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea) almost every month when i get my period.
