Avatar n tn Anything that won't put pressure on your stomach. There are people who lift weights, run marathons, cross country, anything during pregnancy. Its what your body can handle. What a lot of women do is they wait until they get.pregnant to decide to get fit and healthy. But because they didn't workout before they got pregnant, they're limited on what they can do. If you're like that, walk on the treadmill. Cycle, do steps, squats are good. Weighted squats are great.
Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
Avatar f tn t know where to start between the stretching, lifting, cardio, yoga, etc; along with diet and nutrition. Oh and I have a yoga mat. I think I may still have my stretchy resistance bands. I don't have health issues that would hold me back. I did recently find out that I was born with only one kidney and my urologist didn't give me a list of do and don'ts.
Avatar f tn Yoga yoga yoga!!!! Make sure it's prenatal though. Its so good for you and your babies :) helps in labor and delivery too!
Avatar f tn I never did yoga unil now my 2nd pregnancy and your right it's beautiful I love learning how to control my body and breathing all while focusing on my unborn baby aswell and incorporating it all together as one, I absolutely love it and i enjoy it as a hobby not as a workout which is even better :)

Avatar n tn I'm 35 and 11 weeks pregnant. Didn't have much nausea so with the holidays I indulged more then usual. I was very active before but now I'm confused when articles say you can lay on your back after the 1st trimester. That mean even yoga is out? I'm not big on swimming. Any advice?
