Avatar f tn I am looking into different home workout programs that I can do on my own time. I work as an EMT and my schedules are not flexible to fit in any gym programs. My question is have any of you tried the Les Mills Pump! program either at home or in the gym? What did you think of it? Did it work like they say? Do you have any other suggestions for me?
1253186 tn?1304783542 I"m not familiar with either of these programs, but I seem to remember one of our members has ordered the P90X, I think. I'm very sorry, but right off hand, I can't remember which one it was. Hopefully, she will see your post and answer or I will remember who it was and contact her for you....... Personally, I like yoga for toning and all around exercise. It works the entire body AND helps you relax. My favorite dvd is "Biggest Loser, Yoga for Weight Loss".
Avatar f tn m really anxious or whenever I workout and it scares me so I end up stop working out and I really would like to start working and running like I used to but I am afraid to still.. So can give me any advice on this?!
Avatar f tn Hi Les, welcome to the forum here. Idon't believe we have crossed paths yet - or at least that's what my faulty memory is telling me. Not knowing your personal situation it is a bit hard to offer suggestions that might work for you. I have one that I like that is Women's Health Total Workout in Ten! It is broken into ten minute segments- cardio, upper body, lower body and flexibility/balance. You can pick out the routine that you want to work on or do them all.
Avatar n tn run at 6mph for 2 minutes then run at 3mph or rest for 2 minutes) will be more effective in losing weight than if I ran or walked at a steady pace.Is there any truth to this>?

Avatar m tn Hi Motorspear: Although this is a great community and it deals with pain, I think your question might be better answered by the "Men's Health Forum". I'm sure that you're not the only one with this problem and other men that post in the Men's Health Forum might be better suited to answer this question. I hope that you find the answer your looking for. Others may post as the day goes on and you might get your anwer here...you never know.
Avatar f tn simple workout regimen, healthy lifestyle (dieting and normal daily activities) and rest! Now when I say dieting that doesn't mean only eat chicken and rice. You can eat just don't overdo it. Now don't go exercising and then eat wackarnolds right after. That does nothing.the missus comes to train with me but gets tired very fast because she can't do the things she used to do like power lifting and such. Your body will let you know when it's time to stop and give it a rest.
Avatar f tn *exercise
Avatar n tn Anything that won't put pressure on your stomach. There are people who lift weights, run marathons, cross country, anything during pregnancy. Its what your body can handle. What a lot of women do is they wait until they get.pregnant to decide to get fit and healthy. But because they didn't workout before they got pregnant, they're limited on what they can do. If you're like that, walk on the treadmill. Cycle, do steps, squats are good. Weighted squats are great.
