Avatar f tn After reading daily all the challenges everyone is going through, the common "I can't take it" statement, I came upon this article in the Men's Health magazine from the doc next door (Dr. Jeffrey T Junig) who advises in the doctor forum of addiction on medhelp. His story has truly inspired me and I hope that it will all of you as well. WARNING !! It can be quite disturbing to some, but it makes you think...if HE overcame all of that.....then surely we can as well.
Avatar n tn run at 6mph for 2 minutes then run at 3mph or rest for 2 minutes) will be more effective in losing weight than if I ran or walked at a steady pace.Is there any truth to this>?
Avatar n tn Hi, I'm a 37-year old single male who has been diagnosed with bipolar-schizoaffective illness, and I've got a lot of testosterone levels causing me to need to masturbate to relieve myself, once or twice a day. I feel so good in my head afterwards, it's very addictive. I have a Christian counselor who tells me I need to be involved in Sexaholics Anonymous, because it's a sin to masturbate to porn.
Avatar m tn http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Mens-Health/show/93 There are also several related groups that will be listed on the right hand side that may be of interest to you. I'm simply not familiar with them all. But we welcome you to join our community of Chronic Pain patients. We have a lot of very smart people here. Do check back later. Hopefully someone will recognize your symptoms. And welcome to our community.

Together you can decide on a strategy to try to get this solved - either talk therapy to help you devise mental strategies and processes to bring you calm or other avenues such as meds. There's a wide variety of meds that can help you get to sleep - from something non-prescription like a couple of gravol to more heavy duty meds like Ativan or Xanax.
Avatar m tn Hello~I am requesting that this post be transferred to men's health, they will be able to help you better.
Avatar m tn Hi Motorspear: Although this is a great community and it deals with pain, I think your question might be better answered by the "Men's Health Forum". I'm sure that you're not the only one with this problem and other men that post in the Men's Health Forum might be better suited to answer this question. I hope that you find the answer your looking for. Others may post as the day goes on and you might get your anwer here...you never know.
Avatar n tn The last person who spoke about masturbation here had his post redirected to the Men's Health Forum (which I thought was pretty harsh as he raised valid mental health issues and concerns). You may get more feedback to your question on that particular forum. You may also like to check out some posts on the compulsive behaviors forum as the expert there has answered some questions re: this same topic. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Hi all! I had posted something in Men's health related to this issue last week but now that it seems to becoming a little more clear that it's not a men's health thing and a general health thing I thought I'd post here. My general question is this: When I touch my chin to my chest I feel a very quick numbness in my lower right butt cheek near the Ischial tuberosity. It only lasts for a quick minute and then goes away.
Avatar f tn Hello~You will probably get more help in the men's health forum, I have put a request in for you for this post to be transferred there.
Avatar m tn You would definitely want to ask your doctor that question. I saw an article in a medical magazine in a hospital waiting room that said that the sperm are a bigger factor in health of a baby than previously realized. Smoking, drinking, poor sleep, poor diet, high stress, and toxins all take a toll on sperm, weakening them. I think it's a great question and worth researching.
