Avatar f tn m really anxious or whenever I workout and it scares me so I end up stop working out and I really would like to start working and running like I used to but I am afraid to still.. So can give me any advice on this?!
Avatar n tn run at 6mph for 2 minutes then run at 3mph or rest for 2 minutes) will be more effective in losing weight than if I ran or walked at a steady pace.Is there any truth to this>?
Avatar n tn You may be sore for more than 3 days depending on your fitness level and on the intensity of the workout. If 4 to 5 days out after your leg workout your pain hasn't begun to decrease (it probably still won't be completely gone--but it should be less painful than it was the 2nd day out), then you could talk to your doctor. But more than likely, there's nothing to worry about. You can take some ibuprofen and do some stretching (no bouncing on stretches though)!

Avatar m tn Hi Motorspear: Although this is a great community and it deals with pain, I think your question might be better answered by the "Men's Health Forum". I'm sure that you're not the only one with this problem and other men that post in the Men's Health Forum might be better suited to answer this question. I hope that you find the answer your looking for. Others may post as the day goes on and you might get your anwer here...you never know.
Avatar f tn 43 yr female, have leg numbness, w/ feeling. Started 2wks ago, I had gone to gym did upper body workout no obvious injury. Later in day after evening walk noticed numb feeling no pain this is in both legs, for some reason my heels have odd sensation too. I have anxiety, and have had panic attacks. Went to ER, Dr parethesia and to follow up with my doctor (appt. Tue.) Scared of als, ER Dr had me walk on toes & heels, said if I could do that I couldn't'have it.
Avatar n tn Anything that won't put pressure on your stomach. There are people who lift weights, run marathons, cross country, anything during pregnancy. Its what your body can handle. What a lot of women do is they wait until they get.pregnant to decide to get fit and healthy. But because they didn't workout before they got pregnant, they're limited on what they can do. If you're like that, walk on the treadmill. Cycle, do steps, squats are good. Weighted squats are great.
