Avatar f tn For the last few weeks I have either vomited or felt incredibly sick immediately following exercises targeting the core such as Russian twists and kettlebell windmills. I do not have this feeling following any form of exercise during the workout. For instance I completed some deadlifts and lateral pull downs today with no ill effects but as soon as I tried Russian twists I felt very sick. I am at a loss as to why this is happening.
Avatar f tn Research has shown that stretching can inhibit your performance and doesn't reduce your risk of injury. One study performed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill showed that subjects who performed dynamic warm-ups had higher performance in the vertical jump test than those who just did standard stretching.

Avatar f tn There is a huge difference in swinging a kettlebell and performing a kettlebell swing! If you do these exercises right they are safe, effective, convenient and efficient. It's important to do the simple screening test! Toe touch. Stand with your feet so close they can't get any closer and do not bend your knees. Avatar m tn Hi Motorspear: Although this is a great community and it deals with pain, I think your question might be better answered by the "Men's Health Forum". I'm sure that you're not the only one with this problem and other men that post in the Men's Health Forum might be better suited to answer this question. I hope that you find the answer your looking for. Others may post as the day goes on and you might get your anwer here...you never know.
Avatar n tn Anything that won't put pressure on your stomach. There are people who lift weights, run marathons, cross country, anything during pregnancy. Its what your body can handle. What a lot of women do is they wait until they get.pregnant to decide to get fit and healthy. But because they didn't workout before they got pregnant, they're limited on what they can do. If you're like that, walk on the treadmill. Cycle, do steps, squats are good. Weighted squats are great.
Avatar f tn Hi all! I had posted something in Men's health related to this issue last week but now that it seems to becoming a little more clear that it's not a men's health thing and a general health thing I thought I'd post here. My general question is this: When I touch my chin to my chest I feel a very quick numbness in my lower right butt cheek near the Ischial tuberosity. It only lasts for a quick minute and then goes away.
Avatar f tn Hello~You will probably get more help in the men's health forum, I have put a request in for you for this post to be transferred there.
Avatar n tn It depends what the posts are saying, but a very active person can burn around 5,000 calories in a day or more from working out. An example of a sport that burns tons of calories is training that people do in Muay Thai Kickboxing. Aerobic activity burns fat and carbs, while anaerobic activity burns only carbs, so not all calories you burn are burning the same kind of fuel. This is because the body has 3 energy systems.
