Avatar n tn You can look up who owns that domain online -- apparently this is not a woman, it's a guy from Denmark, real name: Dariusz -- I see his email too, but I won't post that, since it's illegal! Doesn't that guy have anything better to do?? You ladies are makin' me laugh, and I'm just not being very productive, is it Friday yet?? oh well.
Avatar n tn I was waking in the night with migraines and now it's been three weeks with not a hint of one. I have read and understand all the side effects. The hair loss, the confussion, the tingling, the weight loss (for me this is not a good thing, I am thin to begin with) But I would rather deal with any of these side effects then deal with a minute of what of was prescribed Topamax for....MIGRAINES!!!! Horrible, Painful, Migraines, a pain so bad that it makes one want to curl up and die.
Avatar n tn I don't know how effective it would be for someone that isn't being treated for diabetes, pcos, insulin resistance, etc. In my personal experience it hasn't been a "magic diet pill" so to speak. Perhaps its because I am a diabetic. I have been taking this medication for a little over a year. I did not lose any weight initially but did notice it helped suppress my appetite.
Avatar f tn A good sulfate free shampoo is an excellent choice and if your hair dresser is serious about your hair they will discount or even try the trial sizes until you are happy with a product. If they are not interested in the health of your hair, you may want to ask others to recommend someone to you that does. The price you pay for experimenting with various remedies without success can cost more than an experienced hairstylist.
Avatar n tn Hi, I am a 26 year-old female and have been experiencing hair loss at the frontal area over the last few months. I have had quite a lot of stress recently since the grad school started but I am not sure if that is the reason. I was told about Rogaine. I was wondering if you think it would help? If yes, how long do you think i should use it? Does it have any side effects that you have heard of? Is there anything else that you suggest I could do?
Avatar n tn I have never been so excited to find this forum! I've been looking under greasy hair for the past month. I even had blood work done because I just turned 40. This is not a thyroid problem. Thank you all for advice, will be trying today as soon as stores open up. Well let you know how it goes!
Avatar m tn Speaking from my own experience, if your wife is still losing hair, which is a gross (in the sense of large) symptom, she is under-medicated. I use hair loss as the easiest way to monitor whether I am under-medicated, as it happens almost instantaneously when some stoopid endo has insisted on lowering my T3 meds, and grows back as soon as the T3 is raised. I have gone through the hair-loss/re-growth process 3 times now. The other symptoms of dry skin. weight gain, irregular periods.....
Avatar f tn I found the thing that helps for a couple to few weeks is dying my hair and/or getting a scalp treatment at the hair salon. Let me know if you find a remedy that works on a daily basis!
599170 tn?1300977493 I hate the way I feel every day, tired, bloated/constipated, the acne, hair loss, weight gain, then you have the mood swings and anxiety. I hate the fact that my body has about nothing feminine left to it. I am on bio progesterone and 2 grains of armour although I am feeling a bit better, I feel as though I have hit a pot hole and gotten a flat and am stranded and the doctors don't care they don't understand how horrible I feel day in and day out. They blame it on depression.
Avatar n tn Regarding the hair loss, when I started going through menopause at age 47 I would find a hair ball in the shower. Lasted for a while and then stopped. I've read that hair loss can be attributed to a lack of estrogen. So not sure if you're at that age or not. Hair loss is also a symptom that some people with lupus deal with. I've had some estrogen issues just recently and have noticed my skin is a lot drier than usual, probably a result of the lowering estrogen.
Avatar f tn If a woman is over weight that is fine, obese then some weight loss measures should be taken for the health of that woman. Personally I like a woman who is not the slim model type. I like a woman who has some extra weight. Dress how you want in public but when in the bedroom, thigh highs, thongs all that stuff....yes wear it. But don't dress sexy just to attract someone. A lot of women will dress real "sexy/trashy" and what is the first thing that comes to a guys mind...
495284 tn?1333897642 I initially joined MedHelp for the Hepatitis C forum and found the addiction forum by accident. I already had a couple years clean at the time but I was a VERY angry and resentful person. I was on HCV treatment and isolated at home. The interaction I got on MH was all I had at the time. I used to pick fights and argue with people because I hated myself and the fact that I had Hep C.
Avatar n tn Also, since changing certain 'less than healthy' habits, I am no longer experiencing hair loss, and I no longer have that 'beer belly'. My slurred speach that I once had, has largely disappeared, as well as feelings of fatigue and the accompanying 'lazy gait' (stumbling/dragging feet/unsteady balance).
Avatar n tn (This is certainly an important issue for women, but I'm less sure about the role calcium plays in men's health. Ask your doctor?) Here's a little horror story to help you feel better (!)...way back in the tx dark ages ('91) they turned me loose with what turned out to be no thyroid function and no one caught it for about 6 months. Can you imagine? When someone did bother to test my thyroid the TSH was in the several hundreds.
Avatar m tn LOL, you are so right. After the riba rage, the anemia, wieght loss, hair falling out and everything else what's a little Sanjaya? We are the heppers!!! We rule! However, ear plugs are a very good idea. I treasure my "old time rock & roll" and have a hard time dealing with some young punk destroying it.
Avatar n tn I dont think IBS causes you to lose 100lbs in 9 months, hair loss , heavy chocolate/black periods, and constant back/abdominal/pelvic pain! I'd say we all go on talk shows to get the msg out and how dr's dont take us serious and blow us off. It's our bodies and we all know when something isnt "right".I thought female dr would be better but its just as bad. When you try to tell them something they like to remind you they are the dr.
Avatar f tn I even had to post in the men's forum for some help. They have been quite comforting. You have alot on your plate...m/c...new baby coming...dad is sick...you and hubby... You don't need to add to it. You will get through all of this and DH will be right behind you.. Guys are alot diff from us...they don't always say or do the things we wished them to... But they do love us...even though sometimes it may not seem enough. DH does love you... he just has a different way of showing it.
250084 tn?1303311035 biotin (learned here of course) and B complex. I got the sublingual ones at a health food store. Biotin supposed to help with skin/hair loss and B complex with energy, depression, several things. As a few vitamins we aren't supposed to do lot of, A, Iron.....kind of hard to go with a multi vit.
Avatar n tn When we speak of emotional distress it actually can be coupled with medicine problems too ... believe it or not some of the ups/downs can be attributed to the loss of part of you and being it isn't Cancer is wonderful news to hear but at the same time makes you ? and wonder why me? Why did I have this whole thing taken out and now find out it isn't Cancer? These are some thoughts I wanted to add to the great info above. I'd insist on bloodwork b4 the 3week mark given your symptoms ...
Avatar n tn hey I am just trying to see if you guys have a similar problem as me, do you have a huge loss of feeling in your penis, and (I don't know how to describe it) like weakened muscles? I can no longer push the muscle and make my penis raise unless erect. Also when erect I feel smaller and it is harder to keep blood flow in the head. Is this similar to what you too are experiencing?
Avatar n tn Your ovaries affect mental health later in life, and bone health. I can sense that you are resigned to having the surgery, but I sure wish you could delay it and explore some alternatives. NEITHER the patch or the pill or any other drug will ever, ever be able to replicate what your body does naturally. You will never be the same again. The surgery takes all of 20 minutes, and the effects last til the day you die. Did they tell you some of the things that can happen?
Avatar m tn I had posted this in the "woman's health" forum area and got no comments back at all. That area doesn't seem as active of a community as this one. So I will re-post what I posted there related to my wife's hormone levels. As far as thyroid she is being treated with Armour and just got bumped up to 180 mg (from 165). her FT4 are BELOW range, her FT3 are about 25% to 50% of the range but the range is also wider than most ranges we see here.
Avatar n tn Maybe I should mention a few of my experiences, hypothyroid, lupus ( that means the faituge, hair loss, arthritis, nauesa, dizziness, chest pain, etc) o and ya when I was younger was perscribed a med for acne and now have scars on my shoulders. After all this and more I still had a smile on my face and was just a happy person. Not anymore!!!! His addiction has taken its toll on me and all I wanna do is spend my days crying.
Avatar n tn I went today for my first week weight check and my second shot.....my weight loss for my first week is 9.5 pounds!!!! Anyone else using Phentermine and B12? I would love to hear how other people have done on these meds. Good Luck to everyone trying...I want to hear your story!
Avatar m tn I've done countless research online and went through every forum with people who report 'hard flaccid penis'. A lot of us share the same symptoms which leads me to believe that the problem derives from one source, be it poor circulation, nerve damage, or imbalanced hormones, but yet nobody has made the connection. I too suffer from a back injury as some others, but I definitely ruled out the theory that this is caused by spine problems.
Avatar n tn do breast make the person? What about weight loss and gain? Hair changes, long, short, brown, blonde? I get that there is physical attraction but when you make the commitment to marry a person, and enter into that holy sacrament , is it strictly for that physical reason? Because if that is the case, then you should not marry that individual. Marriage should be so much deeper than that.
Avatar n tn Never used hair loss products before. I don't have a family history of early hair loss in men either. Here are my blood results before starting androgel, looks like the urologist ignored the FSH. Let me know if you need anymore information... FSH 1.4 mIU/mL (OUT OF RANGE: range = 1.5-8.0 mIU/mL) LH 2.7 miU/mL (in range) Prolactin 7.
Avatar n tn Apparently it can happen if semen backs up into the prostate due to interrupted ejaculation, reverse gravity position, etc, and then hardens (could be hours to days later). They suggested over-hydrating and then "rubbing it out", but I usually just take a couple of Advil and sleep on my stomach.
Avatar m tn This method has also helped some people on this forum reach parts of their sinuses that weren't reached by a Flip-Turn Flush. One user reported his success with this method to his ENT, who informed him that he has been using this method for 35 years. I went outside to try this method (you can do it inside, on towels) I sat down on the ground, legs bent, knees up.
Avatar m tn Some companies provide their own insurance, and some insurers are grasping they can save money with procedures done overseas. http://www.businessinsider.com/medical-tourism-as-an-alternative-to-obamacare-2013-10 "HSM, a manufacturer in North Carolina, is one of the many companies that encourage employees to undergo costly medical services across U.S. borders. The company reported that this medical alternative has saved it nearly $10 million in the last five years.
