172336 tn?1202258241 That's wonderful - you being a doctor! Your views and experience are a welcomed asset on this forum. If you don't mind - what type of doctor? You may have posted this, but I may have missed it.
Avatar f tn So this is what I have, this space, my ideas, opinions, responses and questions aren't always perfect, but I just want to have this space to say THANK YOU to all of the "step parents". Being a child of divorce and a mother of divorce, I have had "step parents", my kids have had "step parents" and I have been a "step parent"..Its like a world that revolves around "step parents".
Avatar n tn Please let me know what you find out, and I will do my best to post my findings as well.
Avatar f tn } I think a point Susans thread brought out is who's going to do more good for health care, make changes, etc. Helping health care, making changes is my main concern, whatever the disease may be. X is correct tho, in that it is up to many of us to change, make awareness in hep c. Quick note on the 'war' our soldiers, etc. While HATING seeing our people go fight, get killed, leave home and so on..….
Avatar n tn I did a Google search for my similar symptoms and found this forum. About 48 hours ago, I noticed this heat sensation in my left shin. At first I thought I was standing too close to a heat vent in the floor at work! It is a warm, sort of tingly sensation that lasts 5 seconds and occurs, I don't know, 10 times throughout the day. I wonder if I slept on the leg funny?? Stress?? I am 43 and in reasonably good health but seem to be a hypochondriac (spelling?) at times.
Avatar n tn There is a good article in Women's Health this month in regards to Chronic pain and the fact that sometimes the nerve does not "shut off" long after the injury has healed. At least this would account for the fact that nothing shows on MRI's, X-Rays, CAT scans, Bone Scans etc., etc.. The hope was that the nerve blocks that I had would work "like shutting down and restarting your computer". One worked for 4 days, the next one 2 (they won't repeat them).
Avatar f tn She gave me an antibiotic prescription with the hopes that whatever the problem was they would clear it up. They didn't. Just when all else had failed, I stumbled onto this forum. Last night I read the post about the Listerine solution. Thinking this was my absolute last desperate chance of having nice hair again I ran to the store and bought some. I came home, washed my hair with clarifying shampoo and then dumped the Listerine on. IT WORKED. I could not believe it!!
Avatar n tn Hey, I just wanted to recommend this book really highly. It will really illuminate a lot of vaginal conditions and help you talk to your doctor or find a better one: http://www.amazon.com/Book-Doctors-Complete-Vulvovaginal-Health/dp/0553381148/ref=sr_1_1?
Avatar n tn I've tried cleaning with an anti-bacterial soap, because I was told it was caused by bacteria, and it didn't work. Just like misscottincandy I've worried about being intimate with my husband (especially after him mentioning that maybe I had forgotten to shower) because I'm embarrased by the smell. I wish someone would find some kind of solution. This isn't a new problem as I'm sure women have been going through this for years.
Avatar n tn Dear miztp: Microcalcifications are small calcium deposits found within the breast tissue. There are different types of microcalcifications, and based on their pattern on the mammogram it gives the radiologist clues as to their cause. For instance microcalcifications that are more scattered are probably due to a benign (non-cancerous) cause, a “cluster” of microcalcifications may increase concern that there may be an underlying tumor. There may or may not be any 'lesion' visible on mammography.
Avatar f tn I had upper and lower jaw surgery 3 years ago and my health has never been the same. I was given 4 plates and screws in the mandible and maxilla and got the same story about the bioavailability of titanium, but I question it. I have done some moderate research over the last few months and I found one excellent study about a very small percentage of patients having significant health systems since receiving Ti implants.
Avatar n tn ) Went to the doc this AM... said that it just an auto- immune reaction since the tingles / pain / numbness / cold is "jumping around" and stops and starts. Also said that since I have an auto-immune problem that I need to try to avoid sick people and stay as healthy as I can, rest etc and let my body correct itself. They did tons of blood work and will have the results by the end of the week.
Avatar f tn Come straight from the gut, and let him know that youre doing this because you care and because you love him. Ask him to get some help. Ask him to sign on to some of these boards. There is a wealth of information here.... You can be totally anonymous here, bleed your heart out, and some of the good folks can offer some suggestions. This came secondarily to my therapy sessions, and I have to tell you....big damn difference now. Dont get me wrong, there is still room for improvement.
Avatar n tn in my rapid healing foods book it says you hould realese it once a month for healty contractions. it messes with your prostate gland. i stopped for 2 weeks for health ive been to the gym lift heavier weights when you stop this ******** when i masturbate then go gym you get a head ache it says in my book you get lower back pain feel tired and lazy and i cant lift heavy weights. you go weak and skiny if you masturbate always.
Avatar n tn i dont know where the myth of 6 or more palps in a row or in a minute are life threatening, but its been addressed in this forum more than once and its simply untrue. Unless you have a structural heart problem, pvcs are of no concern, and they are not indicative of a larger problem unless you are having tens of thousands of pvc's per day, and even then, it doesnt nessecarily indicate a problem...
Avatar n tn And I don't wear contacts either. And the itching drives me crazy! My health insurance doen't cover dermatology :( so I'm trying to solve the mystery myself. Any help would be WONDERFUL!!!! Thanks in Advance!
Avatar f tn I am at the point of doing anything to get answers. Tonight I decided to search on-line and found this forum and could not believe what I was reading. It was as though I had written it all. I then proceeded to research brachioradial pruritis and am still in awe of what I have found. I have printed quite a bit of reading for my doctor on the next visit. I did rupture the C5 AND C6 in my neck and had to have surgery, this definitely has shined some light on my misery.
Avatar n tn Ok - so what I did was I thought - if it is bacterial ie as a result of hairs etc and maybe a drop of urine etc causing growth of bacteria, I decided to use a little sitz bath wash with warm water with some detol in it. Did this and then put some antibactial powder on it. It went itchy like crazy! Then I put some antifungal cream and it went away completely.
Avatar n tn Luckily my girlfriend is a champ and isn't too conserned about me getting off, but she's more worried if there are any health issuse i need to be aware of... I don't really think I'm comfortable enough to say "I'm addicted to porn!" Oh well, I suppose I'll take everyone's addvice and just cut back on the porn and masturbation.
