697132 tn?1232389372 This year, like many people, I'm aiming to lose weight and eat healthy. So, these trackers will be really helpful in keeping myself in check. I'm aiming to be healthier in 8 weeks, but even beyond then. I'm currently blogging my experiences on my blogger page, http://gootzgetsfit.blogspot.com/ , and so feel free to watch and keep track along with me! well, there's not much else going on now. I'll update this later though. see ya!
Avatar m tn After my workout my friend insisted we go get something to eat, so we went straight from the gym to eat. I didnt get to shower after my workout but I took off my underwear and just put on my jeans (free balled it) the jeans are regular fitting, low rise. After eating we went and watched a movie, so it was hours after the gym that I finally got a chance to shower.
Avatar f tn It's easy to make ahead of time, and by tweaking the conventional recipe to include cranberries, Men's Health resident chef Matt Goulding has added a hint of jellylike sweetness. 1 6 oz can solid white tuna 2 Tbsp dried cranberries, roughly chopped 1/4 yellow onion, minced 1 Tbsp mayonnaise 2 tsp balsamic vinegar Salt and pepper to taste Mix all the ingredients together. Serve a scoop on a piece of toasted whole-grain bread.
Avatar f tn I recommend sites such as Men's Health and other sites specializing in body building for GOOD and EFFECTIVE advice on diet and exercising. Those sites and magazines don't only give advice suitable for bodybuilders. They are useful for everybody. I deeply apologize if any of this advice was not helpful or if I offended you in anyway. I hope I didn't sound condescending. Good luck with your efforts and NEVER EVER give up. Be strong!!! and when you're working out say to yourself NO PAIN!!
1007653 tn?1259389567 As you squat back, sit on the box so your upper thighs are parallel to the floor. Then stand back up. Complete 1 to 3 sets of only 1 to 3 reps each. As you become stronger, use higher boxes and add weight, which creates more tension. Why it works: The box removes all momentum where the lift is most challenging, which forces your muscles to work harder to start back up. And by limiting your range of motion, you learn to handle heavier loads.
Avatar n tn I did get the Lipotropic Pills and have taken 2 pills only a day and workout 3 times a week. I have continued to eat the same--about 1500 calories. To my surprise I have lost 1 lb in one week, but probly 1 and half inch off my waistline. The second week I plan to take the 3 pills. I don't feel any side effects and drink the pills with the rest of my regular muti-vitamins. I am more regular digesting, and do drink water as I feel thirsty.
Avatar m tn I have been in the same boat as everyone on this forum with gastro problems, so I speak from experience. I never suggested you take your health into a store clerks hands, your health should be in your hands making an informed decision about everything you do. I suggest to everyone what has worked for me. Whether you decide to try it is up to you, but name calling isn't necessary. I am far from being a quack as you suggested, just someone who doesn't suffer from acid reflux anymore.
Avatar n tn If you want a bigger penis, you have you have the right attitude and work ethic to achieve your goals. WORK AT IT! Do the Men's Health Manual Workout Plan daily, and we guarantee you will see results in as little as 2-4 weeks. Follow the directions exactly, and NEVER give up. We think it's an absolute shame that some men are so ashamed about their penis size that they never allow themselves to get into a relationship. Penis size does matter.
Avatar n tn I currently weigh 165 and would like to lose about 30 pounds. What do you guys eat in an average day? What have your doctors told you about B12, how does it help you lose the weight? also what is lipo?? Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can give!!
Avatar n tn I take metformin for diabetes and in 2 months of taken it i have lost 30 pounds. Which was a great thing. But i also have cut back on what i eat. And i no longer am addicted to Dr.Peppers..lol..So weather it's the meds or my cuting back i'm not sure, but i have lost the wieght.
Avatar n tn OMG!! 46, will be 47 in June. Can't even tell you how everything seems to be failing, wrinkling, etc. & yes, it seems like it happened overnight. Perimenopausal as well. Had complete check up recently & no major health issues. However, my gyno has me hrt's(which I REALLY want to get off of). Added into the mix of all the skin issues mentioned, I am losing my hair like CRAZY. Anyone else having hair loss issues?
Avatar n tn It is a warm, sort of tingly sensation that lasts 5 seconds and occurs, I don't know, 10 times throughout the day. I wonder if I slept on the leg funny?? Stress?? I am 43 and in reasonably good health but seem to be a hypochondriac (spelling?) at times. I doubt this is related, but I have some sort of muscle strain in my hip/groin area that is possible due to an intense backpacking trip in October. Any feedback appreciated. Guess I could consult dr. after Xmas if still going on . . .
Avatar n tn Eagles) (That's for you, Jess) Anywho--I got my workout in so my endorphins have kicked in. I meet w/ my professional group later today so I'm looking forward to that. We've been together for a long time, and almost feel like family. It's kinda like an AA meeting, but more psychological, I guess. It gives me hope to see that there are addicts like me who overcome the adversity and go on to get their jobs and lives back and are HAPPY!! I always feel like a million bucks when I leave there.
Avatar n tn I read somewhere that bananas are a folk remedy for urinary tract infections. I started eating them (used to eat them all the time when younger), and I have noticed that my symptoms are not as bad now. The only explanation I can think of is that bananas are very alkaline, and reduce the acidity of the urine. Or maybe they lubricate the urethra. Or something. God only knows.
Avatar n tn Who, after quitting the disgusting habit of smoking for the past 45 years, quit 10 years ago and I continue to eat, eat, eat and gain weight. I have thought about starting the bad habit of smoking again, but am now reading a lot about Topamax for weight loss. My husband developed migraine headaches after a sever stroke about 5 years ago. He went thru all the depakote, etc. for depression, and then in early 2005 had another stroke. He was then started on Topamax.
Avatar n tn Here are my stats in case there is some common link that could be causing it. 53, excellent health, have enlarge prostate (take Flomax). Also take Centrum Silver, Zocor, Nexium and a baby aspirin. But, have taken all these for a long, long time and doubt any of them are the cause. I started a new job where I sit in an office chair 8 hours+ each day. The vibration started a few days after I started this job, though I've had office type jobs my entire life.
Avatar n tn Hi. I just signed on to make a comment that might help. Those of you with doctors refusing to bring levels to optimal should really consider seeing another doctor. Most "Knowledgeable" doc's these days consider anything under 325 or 350 to be too low, and higher than that is typical for younger men and "optimal", not "normal" health. It's normal to have high cholesterol, too, that doesn't mean it's 'good'. One thing you might consider looking into....
Avatar m tn Sugar is a phlegm producer. Eat a piece of a chocolate bar, to get a clear demonstration. • Lower the use of alcohol. Alcohol thickens the mucus in your head and lungs, and lowers your immune resistance. If you start getting chills, you may have the flu instead of a cold. Flush your head with saline before bed, jump in bed with as many covers as you can find, and sweat it out. It won’t be a great night’s sleep, but there’s a very good chance you can beat the flu virus.
Avatar n tn What surgery did your mom have and how quickly was she able to recover? Walking? Workout? And etc.? I will probably start PT next week, but honestly, I don't hope for nor expect any improvement.
Avatar n tn It's a pain to do this (I keep meaning to, but haven't yet). You have to keep a diary of everything you eat and how you feel each day. Then eat very bland food for, say a month. Next introduce whatever you want to test for. If it brings on the symptoms, you've probably found the cause. If not, add something else into your diet to test for that. But also, if you haven't already, do get some medical advice to rule out the nasties.
Avatar n tn and it's a daily thing. I am 31 years old, am healthy (exercise almost daily, eat healthily, am not overweight, do not smoke, and only drink socially), and yet I always feel like my breathing is extremely laboured. I constantly yawn to try to catch a satisfying breath. There are some periods throughout the day where it's not laboured and I feel as if I breathe normally, but then it creeps up on me and I have to start yawning again.
Avatar n tn I also get PVC's after I eat. I have been watching what I eat lately and tried to eat foods that don't have MSG. That has helped a lot. The additives that are being pumped into our food is killing us.
Avatar n tn It helps my mood, but I don't want to further complicate my condition if the androgel isn't even fixing the problem. Is that a bad idea? I take a daily vitamin (Men's One a Day, Vit. E 45 IU, Zinc 15mg). Is that enough for my zinc and vitamin E? Should I start taking HCG? Will that fix the problem?
Avatar n tn Seriously, what guy wants a mouth full of perfume when he does the deed. Men's penises have a smell too and can really be offensive if they don't bathe, especially if uncircumcised! PS make sure you drink enough fluid during the day or your urine can become concentrated and really smell bad too, which can leave an odor after going to the toilet.
Avatar n tn I have the exact same symptoms you all are describing. I am an 23 year old male in good health and I was diagnosed with RRMS (Relaps-Remitting MS) when I was 18. I talked to my doctor and nurse and the sensitivity is a part of an MS relapse. I am not suggesting that everyone who experiences this feeling has MS, but it could be a possibility. It could be a result of a number of things.
Avatar n tn any instructions for follow-up? did you get any meds? Seriously think about going to a naturopath for extra health support, get someone to call and drive you there. Also, go see your medical doctor if you feel that you have worsened. I got the flu shots on Nov 5th and there have been days that I felt that I went "backwards" and then I would improve again. Look at our original forum (Tingling after Swine Flu Vaccine) where there are over 150 comments for more feedback and suggestions.
Avatar n tn I posted this post on another person's post on this site about the same issue. I posted it right before I did all that shampooing on Saturday. (I am copying and pasting it cause it gives alot more info about my particular case): Hi guys! I've been having the same oily crown problem too for about 2 weeks. It is so weir and SOOOO frusterating! I tried dish soap, it didn't work. Mine seems to already be oily withing minutes of my showers.
Avatar n tn probably not as it gives your germ cells a good workout to replenish new sperm every time the previous batch is used up! might result in retarded babies if you don't make new sperm, as it sits there and degrades. however there will definitely be a bunch of new sperm which can have a chance of producing offspring with disabilities. on this subject... i wonder how celibate monks deal with not wanking/masturbating for their entire lives...
288415 tn?1231634102 I am having a hard time stopping eating and still I eat the problem foods (like chocolate, fatty foods, etc), but I have some food issues to deal with. Please let me know if trying this helps you.
