I have a trainer and I go to the gym 2 days a week by myself and two days with the trainer. I lift weights all four days but not big weights about a maximum of 100 lbs via leg press or pulling a sled etc. He says to eat 95 grams of protein a day. I am 5'7" and weight 127 lbs. I keep hydrated. I am vegan and use a vegan protein powder to supplement 20 grams extra a day.

Avatar n tn I have a 5 year old son who had a birthday a month ago. He has a chromosome defficieny called digeorge syndrome. He is 30 pounds. Doesn't gain very well and is very picky. I pack his preschool lunch only 1 time in the last 2 months it came home completely empty. I don't pack him very much. protein, crunchy snack, fruit, carb(macaroni-pasta-) He may eat some of the macoroni but not all. It's an effort to get him to eat breakfast these days.
Avatar m tn s based on clean protein intake(chicken,fish,0%fat cheese,beef,eggs etc) around 150g of protein a day 200-500g of complex carbs (white/brown rice,potatoes and outmeal) and 50-100g of omega 3 fats coming from Olive oil,lot's of nuts.And lots of veggies.And my salt intake is rly low,under 5g a day.

9990306 tn?1407113138 First, how do you know you have a protein deficiency? Did a doctor or nutritionist test you and tell you that, or are you just assuming? As for being vegan, if you're going to do that you have to know more than others how to eat properly. You don't need animal foods to get protein -- nuts, seeds, and beans are all excellent sources of protein.

Just about every question out of my 5 yr old daughters mouth is wondering when the next meal or snack is. At the beginning of the year we started following a modified version of the Eat Clean Diet - modified meaning, I don't go to the extreme with all the specialty products that are hard to find, BUT we have tried to eliminate most processed foods, junk, soda, etc.
