Avatar f tn Believe me, he's grateful that he has me with the scars instead of buried with perfect breasts! (Actually, I had a scar from breastbone to below my belly button from a renal artery graft before we were even engaged, and he doesn't mind a bit.) My last biopsy found LCIS and I am closely monitored for being high risk. I may face more biopsies and I hope and pray they are all benign. But if one isn't, I'll know that the cancer will be caught at the most highly treatable time.
Avatar n tn I've been on 850mg 2X a day for 2 months....for IR. I finally have some energy, and the ability to curb my appetite. I've lost 8.5 inches between my neck and waist since Thanksgiving...(my trainer doesn't tell me the scale number, i'm phoebic still). I think i'm probably about 170# at 5'5"....but previously i had gained steadily over 30# in 10 months, (from 152-184) while trying to lose with diet and exercise. i wasn't ready to write it off as "just regular menopause"....
250084 tn?1303311035 I need to make him understand that even before this (stage 3 fibrosis) the fatigue was kicking my butt, and now it's worse and that I HAVE to take breaks, naps or it's going to hurt me, my tx, everything! (in a trial, NO 'rescue' drugs). If all goes to the curb, anemia, etc. I am taken off the drugs! He tries to understand and is a very good man, but as we know, if your not going thru it, you just DON'T really get it. ALSO...... sex..... love sex, need sex......
Avatar n tn I wouldnt go any lower than 800 or 900, what will happen after you are off of the diet? that is a hard amount to stick to daily. I weigh 210 and am 5'7"and have 60 pounds to lose. I hope this post will give us both the encouragement needed to lose.
Avatar f tn I also think its despicable that there is no test for HPV. How hard is it? The doctors say its not practical since so many people have it. But you know, if they didn't text for HIV, so many people would have that too. I'm so pissed that I got this. It was preventable. But the CDC dropped the ball. A simple test could have been developed in the 70's when they saw link between this & cancer. Not just cervical cancer either, throat cancer, anal cancer.
Avatar n tn Dreadful Antibiotics and they should be taken off the market.. I only took one Avelox and experienced some alarming side effects.levoquin was a littel easier but after 5 days i could hardly get out of bed because i hurt so much and the nightmares where just alarming.Ok nothing to do with Menopause i know..sorry..I,m also going through Meno and my skin has gotten very dry and kinda saggy... Miserable isnt it.
Avatar n tn I looked it up a month or so ago and it seems some people hear a radio-like voice in their head after taking it and it seems to get better after they are off for some people, but not everyone. As long as you have a good doctor though, they are probably prescribing what you need, maybe medicines won't have the same affect on you as it does some people. There are probably many people who take it and have no problems. Good luck whatever you decide with your health issues!
Avatar n tn I am sorry for your Dx. I am a female but also now hypo.Since the beginning of my illness everything I read regarding the disease, when I stumbled across the stats of men getting it, I read through it. Dx is rare. specially on sub clinical Hypo or Hyper thyroidism in men. I believe this b/c men are less likely to see a doctor when they have symptoms. and if they do go and get Dx'd - most do not have the patience and stay on top of it.
Avatar n tn I am taking a probiotic and Colloidal Silver to see if it will help. Both of these items can be purchased through a health food store. I've been taking it now for about two weeks. My symptoms are slowly getting better but still feels uncomfortable. I'm wondering if my partner needs to be treated, could he be a carrier of this??
Avatar n tn lately they ache or should I say sore to the touch.. When I'm off I don't have the problem...Sometimes I take off just to help my legs...by the way I'm a 61 year female......can someone help or tell me whats going on>???
Avatar n tn I admit I need to drop some weight and have changed my diet dramatically and can see my new muscle is burning off the fat. I plan on maintaining my current intake of Test and increasing my cardio and reducing my sodium to get my blood pressure down. I would say not to be scared of injections and stay at 1cc a week max. You will feel like a 20 year old again soon and any side effects will be minimal because you a getting back to normal levels.
Avatar n tn I've tried cleaning with an anti-bacterial soap, because I was told it was caused by bacteria, and it didn't work. Just like misscottincandy I've worried about being intimate with my husband (especially after him mentioning that maybe I had forgotten to shower) because I'm embarrased by the smell. I wish someone would find some kind of solution. This isn't a new problem as I'm sure women have been going through this for years.
380530 tn?1239166138 You are a lioness! ROAR until you get those cubs! Mary--All your patience has paid off, and your cycle is normalizing so you can get back in the game! You have stayed so solid throughout, and very healthily expressed your frustrations in certain situations that have made you uncomfortable. Fiona--You have been a healer to all of us while healing yourself. You've stayed connected while going through your own turmoil.
Avatar f tn Seven years of chasing what I thought was an answer and I would have been better off to get a CPAP, and I am still not sure what is wrong with my health post op and trying to figure out how to fix the aesthetic mess the maxfax made. And finally.... yes, burning hot knife pain in several areas of the feet and a hot knife a couple inches above right knee... really the bottom of the right quadricep.
Avatar n tn I have exactly the same symptoms. I am 44 years old and have been dealing with this on and off for at least 10 years...it seems to occur more often as I get older. I went to the doctor and was told it was GERD and then was given acid reflux medication. The doctors also seem to dismiss my symptoms because I am overall very heathy.
Avatar n tn If it brings on the symptoms, you've probably found the cause. If not, add something else into your diet to test for that. But also, if you haven't already, do get some medical advice to rule out the nasties. The odds are very much that it's not anything really scary, but you definitely should check to make sure. My doctor told me that approx 25% of people have IBS. Wishing you well.
Avatar n tn And I don't wear contacts either. And the itching drives me crazy! My health insurance doen't cover dermatology :( so I'm trying to solve the mystery myself. Any help would be WONDERFUL!!!! Thanks in Advance!
Avatar n tn Then we took another couple of trips and my feet and hands became extremely dry, cracked, the crease in my ear lobes, around my nose sides of my mouth would crack. Skin literally seemed to fall off of my face when i got off of the plane from Mexico to WA and it wasnt from a sunburn. During this time, the last 2.5 yrs I have had the itch below....details described in a post above I listed a few months ago. I did the detergent, soap change, cotton underwear etc.
Avatar n tn OK Guy's, i found this thread by accident and i thought it would be important to reply. First off i want everyone to relax and stay calm and i don't want anyone to think about suicide, i suffered the exact same as you guy's did but no one to give me any kind of answers (i am only 24 myself). I have the answers you guy's need, so please let me explain my own story first. When i was born, i was a healthy, young baby boy.
Avatar f tn Finally, after many computer issues, I have the list!
Avatar n tn so little correct information and even then there is disagreement! Or, women are brushed off regarding their health...regarding good hormone information and the fact that women do not have to suffer as they do. Theat there are "good" estrogens and "bad" ones, that the need for progesterone is critical (in my opinion) even if you DON'T have a uterus, and that there is actually much protection available from hormonal support if it is done correctly.
Avatar n tn I felt a knot like feeling in the right side of my tummy near my belly button. Not right beside of it but about6 inches from the belly button. But that isn't what was strange to me. I felt a heart beat stronger than my heart was giving off. I am trying to find anything related to it. I have found a few things but they all are saying that it may be a tumor. But why wouldn't my doctor have found that when they were rubbing around on my stomach?
Avatar n tn I have gone down hill in the past week. My autonomic NS has been acting up also. I go from constipation to diarrhea on and off. I am trying to get in to a new neurologist at Mass General Hospital. They said hopefully before Christmas. I hope to not get any more weak before then. I did go to a neurologist last Friday who said I have polyneuropathy. I have started to go much further down hill though. I have read all the posts here and feel for all of you.
Avatar f tn The best we can hope for in a candidate, is one who supports true health care over insurance co. profits. So if the lobby system doesn't change...
