1002520 tn?1251582386 Straight men don't stick fingers... or other objects into other men's rectums, or tickle other men's colons, or massage their prostates... Or handle, by whatever terminology the doctor wishes to utilize... another man's "PENIS"... all this is HOMOSEXUAL in application. So... until you can get the nasty out of the urological exam... straight males are going to avoid UROLOGISTS... till the fatal moment, when it's do, or die.
1809109 tn?1331807377 She said that it's just not common in Australia, in fact she's never had a patient with parasites so it's incredibly unlikely. My thyroid tsh is at 2 and my free t4 is normal (14. something out of I think 9-16 range?); so it can't be my thyroid. Vitamin D, calcium, iron, fasting blood sugar all normal. Finally I had her look at the a print up of my thyroid tracker. It doesn't look pretty, I feel like crap. This is the whole point- I'm trying to convince my dr's it's not a one off feeling.
Avatar n tn By the way, even if you decide you aren't heterosexual and may have sex with men too, the exact same advice from the doctor applies, except replace "vaginal" with "anal.
Avatar n tn Hello, I read on another men's health site that these bumps are overactive sebaceous cysts because I had gotten one too about 2 weeks ago and it initially was very sore but the soreness went away on the base of my penis but the red/purple bump was still there. I am not and havent yet been sexually active so I ruled out STD's.
Avatar m tn I am beyond sure she was monogamous as well, but have always done a yearly men's health checkup which includes a 4th gen HIV 1/2 Elisa test. My last neg test was last month, and I never engaged in any relationship or fling until last week. Last week, I met up with a transexual sex worker. we proceeded to talk a little and I expressed my concerns for HIV and STDs, she offered 2 condoms from her purse, one that she put on herself and the other she put on me.
362249 tn?1441318618 Child Abuse, skin cancer, thyroid research, cancer, women's issues, men's health, mental illness, domestic violence, drug education, children's education, breast feeding awareness, fix up the schools here in Australia, the Aboriginal communites, the elderly...man the list goes on! Ah...if only I were rich!
Avatar n tn Probably no one, but it's a blessing that came with this kind of odd surgery. I read the Men's forum all the time, and MAN there's a lot of men who have trouble with tight foreskins. And babies who have the same thing. This seems kind of like wisdom teeth and tonsils. Who is rolling around on the ground screaming they wish they had their wisdom teeth and tonsils back? No one. Sorry I seem so short tempered.
3079363 tn?1363277315 Hi Colin, I've not tried electronic cigarettes because in Australia they are not available, they have been banned but in quit forums people say you can imported for private use but that doesn't seem that legal to me. I happen to have allergic reactions to every quit product available here, i've not been fully successful with cold turkey quitting but thats really all i can do.
Avatar n tn Some may be due to non-infectious inflammation Other than cases caused by chlamydia and perhaps Mycoplasma genitalium, NGU is not known to carry any health implications for men's female partners. It may or may not; there has been little research on this.
268356 tn?1236006204 Okay, I live in the US and I am so jealous of the maternity benefits that others are receiving in other countries. Canada, Australia, etc, etc. We are supposed to be a world leader but are severely lacking when it comes to this. Don't get me wrong, we are covered by the family leave act, but only if our company is required to offer it. And well, frankly, there are loop holes.

867582 tn?1311630997 Well Lymees have the same thing!!! I actually (big rush) recently used a men's room without knowing it (until I came out). Fortunately no one else was in there!! At times we can be way gone mentally and at other times we're fine!! Kind of reminds me of the fog rolling into the beautiful Oregon coastline obscuring everything, and then it might lift in 30 minutes and everything is back to normal.

Avatar n tn I've always had it in my legs, why not in my brain? Maybe that was causing the dizziness? So I went to umpteen health stores and spent hundreds of dollars on blood circulating supplements that didn't help. I've cried every day, I've quit my job, I've lost some friends, and I've come close to dropping out of high school during my senior year. But thanks to this blog, I have been given more hope.
172336 tn?1202258241 it makes me wonder, though---I was always totally honest about the amount of alcohol I admitted I consumed; health care workers REALLY must have thought I was a lush!!! (Ohhh----2-3 bottles of beer a day, followed by 1-2 bottles (not glasses) of wine---red wine...!!
Avatar n tn I am sorry for your Dx. I am a female but also now hypo.Since the beginning of my illness everything I read regarding the disease, when I stumbled across the stats of men getting it, I read through it. Dx is rare. specially on sub clinical Hypo or Hyper thyroidism in men. I believe this b/c men are less likely to see a doctor when they have symptoms. and if they do go and get Dx'd - most do not have the patience and stay on top of it.
Avatar n tn OMG!! 46, will be 47 in June. Can't even tell you how everything seems to be failing, wrinkling, etc. & yes, it seems like it happened overnight. Perimenopausal as well. Had complete check up recently & no major health issues. However, my gyno has me hrt's(which I REALLY want to get off of). Added into the mix of all the skin issues mentioned, I am losing my hair like CRAZY. Anyone else having hair loss issues?
Avatar n tn You've simply gotten used to that very mild mood lift that the PHENYLEPHRINE HCL provides you. PHENYLEPHRINE HCL is one of those ersatz speed-like drugs these guys in the back of men's magazine like to sell in black capsules claiming they're legal "black beauties." You've got what amounts to becoming addicted to coffee for its caffeine.
Avatar f tn As you guys may know, we had a federal election here in Australia last month. Prior to the election, Hepatitis Australia (http://www.hepatitisaustralia.com/index.html) submitted 7 questions to the major political parties regarding their respective policies relating to viral hepatitis.
380530 tn?1239166138 There is a sweet gal who posted on another thread named sam75, and I invited her to post here if she ever wanted to. She is the mum of three boys, TTC for baby #4, and lives in Australia. Intersting, huh? I love that our community is so global. Your posts have been rather short, so I guess you may still be a bit down in the dumps. I hope that is not the case, but if is, just know how supported you are here. We love to hear from you, even if it is just a "Hello".
Avatar f tn I had upper and lower jaw surgery 3 years ago and my health has never been the same. I was given 4 plates and screws in the mandible and maxilla and got the same story about the bioavailability of titanium, but I question it. I have done some moderate research over the last few months and I found one excellent study about a very small percentage of patients having significant health systems since receiving Ti implants.
Avatar f tn A good sulfate free shampoo is an excellent choice and if your hair dresser is serious about your hair they will discount or even try the trial sizes until you are happy with a product. If they are not interested in the health of your hair, you may want to ask others to recommend someone to you that does. The price you pay for experimenting with various remedies without success can cost more than an experienced hairstylist.
Avatar n tn I know you're an opera singer and we wouldn't want that powerful voice to be ruined but health comes first. Thyroid disease is a serious matter. I also recommend getting a few opinions from doctors. Hope this was helpful!
Avatar n tn I used Palmolive mixed with Tea Tree oil from the health foood store and let that sit for 2 mintues or so, then I used the CVS version of TGel shampoo, then I used Nutreogena Clarifiying shampoo. I didn't use conditioner. But my hair was so dry I used some frizzease on the ends after I blowdryed my hair. So I think tomorrow I am going to use the same three shampoos and hoefully it will be the end of this monster oily waxy greazzy thing on my head!
Avatar n tn any instructions for follow-up? did you get any meds? Seriously think about going to a naturopath for extra health support, get someone to call and drive you there. Also, go see your medical doctor if you feel that you have worsened. I got the flu shots on Nov 5th and there have been days that I felt that I went "backwards" and then I would improve again. Look at our original forum (Tingling after Swine Flu Vaccine) where there are over 150 comments for more feedback and suggestions.
Avatar n tn i had echo done on my heart--normal chest xray--normal blood tests--normal (still waiting for the results of the allergy test though) so like the other post said...i feel better about my heart, and my health but i still cant breathe. Pulmonary function tests where the doctor said "it could be asthma, very mild though" he prescribed singulair and an albuterol inhaler for before i run. sometimes taking the inhaler can make me lightheaded. so i dont like using it.
288415 tn?1231634102 What the doctors say concern me not (i have had serveral okay ear checks since the problem began). Look, your health is in your own hands - take what the docs say with a grain of salt and backup their talk with your own research - you can be as "smart" as they are and you definately know your body better they do. i feel for all of you deeply (several times my ears have swollen shut and lymph nodes been blocked up into hard rocks for weeks non stop - i understand:)).
