Avatar m tn I've been taking a GNC Mega Men's multivitamin for about a week and I've noticed a huge increase in my anxiety levels. My father took the same multivitamin for a few months and became mildly more anxious in that time period as well. I'm wondering if there's any correlation between taking a multivitamin and increases in anxiety... I've heard that, if anything, multivitamins are supposed to better your mood, but that's definitely not happening with me. Thanks for your help!
Avatar f tn I already posted this as "Needing a diagnosis" in Men's Health. It's probably better in Undiagnosed Sx. Needing a diagnosis by captainleads, 29 minutes ago I'm a 25 year-old +male with symptoms of insomnia irritability with frequent alternating symptoms of “hot and cold” sweating and freezing. I have a hot temper but it's usually related to feeling lousy. I've had this for 3 or 4 years possibly longer!
Avatar f tn A condition I was born with. She says men's and women's heart are totally different. I'm sure there are very good male cardiologists but they couldn't hep me. I called her on a Fri. And she called me Sat herself and made all appts. for me. Give her a call hope this helps.
Avatar n tn My thyroid was the size of two men's fists (side by side). I have come home on thyroid hormone, calcium and Vit D. I am starting to get some energy back, but the steristrips are covering the incision and it itches. My biggest problem so far is diarrhea. I'm not sure if its from the Calcium or the hormone. Has anyone had this same problem, and if so, what did you do for it. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroiditis. No cancer. Thankyou!!

751197 tn?1270317756 I'm cross-posting this to the Thyroid Disorders, Prostate Cancer, and Men's Health groups. I had a radical retropubic prostatectomy (RRP) in 11/2006 following a diagnosis of prostate cancer. PSA since then has remained undetectable. A week ago, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (THS=4.888). I've done some Google and Medline searches looking for any reports of correlation between loss of the prostate gland and thyroid gland dysfunction.

147426 tn?1317269232 I just had my annual hormone check and I my testosterone is practically non-existence, though my TSH and thyroid antibodies were WNL. My GYN stated I am barely producing any cortisol, have adrenal fatigue and wants me to take Adren-all, it's a supplement, as she is really into bio-identical hormones and all natural supplements. She said it takes some people 1-2 years for their bodies to recover.....well I am so stinkin tired all the time, I really struggle to get through the day at work....
Avatar n tn He ran a battery of test, and like most doctors, did not think that me being a male and in mostly good health (except my weight, slightly high BP and Cholesterol) he finally tested my thyroid levels. I ended up with having nearly zero thyroid hormones on the initial test. He immediately scheduled the T3, T4 and a CT scan. To make a long storey short, I was diagnosed with severe Hypo and began treatment 3 weeks ago.
1809109 tn?1331807377 But because I spent what must be hours and hours checking boxes every single day I have no life and am far too stressed about my health. This is what's causing my problems- Stress. Damn you stress, if it weren't for you my gallbladder, thyroid, cholesterol, blood pressure, and weight would be normal. Yeah no, doesn't work like that. Just because I'm now spending 5 minutes a day to write down how I felt, doesn't mean that I'm feeling magically worse.
Avatar n tn If you're taking this pill just to loose weight, and not for a health reason, you should stop taking it, and see that if you keep eating healthy, and walking, you'll still loose! And BTW, taking this pill 10 mins before a meal to help with your appetite is crazy! All diet pills tell you to take it 30min.s before each meal.. b/c it takes 30 min.s to start working...10 min.s? that pill isn't doing anything for you when you're eating!
599170 tn?1300977493 They are all linked together Cherie and usually estrogen is the problem with thyroid disease. I have a hord of reading and articles on this link between the two.
Avatar n tn Some of my hair is getting thinner but that is also a symptom of the Lupus and the thyroid. All in all dry mouth, tingling once in a while and a little thinner hair so far is worth it and absolutely no more migraines not even so much as a hint of a headache.
Avatar m tn A Harvard study published in the journal Human Reproduction found a strong association between men's consumption of soy foods and decreased sperm counts. In the study, men who ate a variety of soy-containing foods and then underwent semen analysis had poor sperm quality. Animal studies also found connections between males chowing down on soy and erectile dysfunction.
Avatar m tn I think this would be a very good time to schedule a complete work up to find out exactly why your so fatigued and experiencing brain fog. Set up an appointment and get to the bottom of your health issues.

Avatar n tn Hi all. New to this. I am a 44 year old woman who is physically fit (gym 5 days a week) and eats pretty well. Approx 5 weeks ago I developed veins showing on both hands. They have not gone away and infact they are bulging most times, and I can "feel them". They have increased and I can see some starting to climb up my forearm now. Before this, my veins barely ever showed.
Avatar m tn You should see a urologist, who can test you for diabetes, thyroid disease, vascular issues. Erections are an important barometer for men's health, so it's perfectly normal to talk about it. You want to find a urologist who specializes in ED, because even some urologists are more interested in this than others. Even doctors can be more shy or less shy about sex topics. So you could call a urology practice and ask for a doctor who is specializes in ED.
Avatar m tn I had and ekg and I took a basic blood test to check for diabetes, heart, thyroid and kidneys good except my bad cholestorol was a little high. Since then I quit smoking completely and lost a little weight my blood pressure also improved and also my erections alittle. I have been recently been diagnosed with an enlarged breast bud or possible gynecomastia that is only on the left side. I took a blood test and I am waiting for the results.
Avatar n tn My pharmacist said that if you take it when you don't need it (I've never had a thyroid problem - and I've been tested a lot) it can shut down your thyroid! Any thoughts? Thanks!
Avatar f tn If you don't get good responses here, you try posting this in the Fertility Forum as well as the Men's Health Forum. I hope this is resolved for you quickly!
Avatar n tn I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.

Avatar m tn What about any other tests like thyroid and pituitary glands? I am a woman but, both of my parents are taller than me and so are all of my siblings. I am the shortest by several inches. So, you may just be the shortest in your family like I am. Nothing wrong with that at all. Men usually stop growing at around 21 but, they can grow up to 23 years old.
