For sure. Cats are at least 10 times smaller than a SMALL adult human female. What is given to us is too much for such a small animal. For example: The amount of Zyrtec I was told to give to Akira is only 1/4 of the adult human dosage. This is much smaller than the children's dosage, which is 1/2 of the adult human dosage. I would never ever give medications to Akira without her first seeing her doctor. I do know that no one should ever give Tylenol to their pets.

Hi, may I ask what dosage of Topamax were u on...I tried to up my dosage and got worse, now that I am at the lowest dosage I am ok....just wondering if it was the dosage? Meloxicam is considered a strong Motrin, but this meloxicam knocked me out for 24 hours. My husband was soon prescribed it and he also hated it. You cannot drive or read, just sleep. Meloxicam is a pain killer, very strong, and doctors are acting like it is just motrin. It is not. It puts you in a coma.

I got x-rays and was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis in my big toe joint and on 9-18-13 I started taking Meloxicam (Mobic). The 1st two nights of taking Meloxicam I felt achey at night and had a fever of about 100- 101. That went away for a while, but then started happening again now every night from about 10-1-13 to now 10-11-13. I get a slight fever at night (100-101) and sweat bad all night long. Bad enough to where the sheets are wet. I usually lose about 3 - 3 1/2 lbs.

Is there anyone who is taking Meloxicam that would know how much aspirin is in it? I am allergic to aspirin and just read the printout from the pharmacy. Can't call my dr till Mon. and think maybe I shouldn't take it. On the other hand my dr knows I'm allergic to aspirin. Hoping someone may know.

Has anyone heard of Meloxicam helping with w/d from opiates, such lortabs? I went to the doctor for some issues that I had been having and decided to reach out to my doctor for help getting off these bad boys. He perscribed Meloxicam to help with some the withdrawal symptons. I have to say this stuff, which is just an anit inflammatory will helps with the symptons. It eleminates the hot, flush feeling which is most annoying. It really does help.

I experience pain in my tailbone, and legs on a daily level, nothing has honestly ever worked, I hated the idea of having to take pills on a daily basis, but I finally gave in, as the pain became unbearable. I take Norco 10 2xs a day supposed to take 4xs a day, if you have problems with feeling sleepy, take with lots of caffeine, I honestly get drowsy within the first 45min, and it lasts about 90min but then I'm good. I also take meloxicam 7.5 2xs a day, Anti-inflammatory.

Now after reading about Meloxicam side effects today, I am suspecting that perhaps the issue is the Meloxicam. My symptoms seem slightly different each day. Initially it was a few days of mostly lower leg weakness and overall lack of energy. That changed to a few days of lower leg tingling and numbness, and then the numbness and tingling moved to mostly my right side leg and arm and slightly in my left leg.

We were sitting downstairs & heard him above, hissing, thump as he got away, then more hissing. The tech told us he peed on her, lol. She was very good about it. Good news: no cysts, no giardia!

I've been on Celexa, Neurontin, and Meloxicam for some time due to chronic pain, depression arthritis, and neuropathy. I've been reading a lot about DLPA and it says NOT to take it with SSRI's. Does anyone know whether I should stop taking the Celexa before I ever start taking Ithis supplement? I'm very anxious to give this supplement a try! My depression has gotten severe...to the point that NOTHING works anymore, I have no sex drive, feel hopeless, I have no motivation, etc...

I am almost absolutely sure Frontline is the same ingredients for dogs and cats, and the only different thing would be the dosage for the size of the dog or cat. (Not all flea treatments are, but I think Frontline is) Please do call your vet and verify this though.

Another thing to consider is making sure the dosage was correct. Often they are weight dosed, even for cats, which also are kitten vs. adult cat dosed. If the dosage was too much, that could have caused irritation. Lastly, if the medication was a "cheap" product like Hertz and similar...these products often have other ingredients that tend to be irritants. Also, they often aren't that effective (from what I've seen from clients who have tried them).

Since lupus can affect the internal organs, I would take her to see another rheumie until you find one that will try something other than or in addition to an NSAID like meloxicam. (I also take meloxicam, but in conjunction with three other meds for RA that go after the disease process itself, not just treating the symptoms like meloxicam alone). cant even attempt to do a straight leg raise. Finally seen a doctor who take new insurance. Gave me meloxicam claimed tendonitis. 2 months of nothing but meloxicam,rest,electric stim, pool workouts, and massage. I had minimal healing/recovery. I decided to try eccentric strength trainiing as it worked for my hamstring tendon. and its known for achiles tendon. Its been about 3-4 days and i already feel much much better. anyone else had similar issues/advice on this topic?

They gave her Meloxicam by injection and I gave her three more doses by mouth. She did not have the dialated pupils or tremors when I took her Tuesday. She did show minor improvement Thursday and Friday, but seems to be as bad if not worse now. She has spent the greater part of her day with her head under my daughter's bed over the last two days.
