1828249 tn?1320012338 I had a cold in early pregnancy before and I've started to come down with one now but what I do is take extra vitamin C and I also get vitamin c cough candies because there are many you cannot take. It's best just to go with a regular vit C kind. And I drank lots of warm water with honey and lemon in it. Surprisingly it all helps really quick. Also, gargle with salt water or even a mouthwash to keep the bacteria from growing in your throat. It'll help a ton!
408901 tn?1274687198 Have you gone to your doctor for a preconception exam? I mc in decemeber and my doc said its really best to go in before you start ttc so they can get a clean bill of health first and get you on prenatel vitamins before you get preg.
Avatar f tn I don't know anything about those medications but if she knows you are pregnant, then she would know prescribing certain medicines to you are safe (i.e - she knows what is safe and what isn't safe to take in pregnancy) and so she wouldn't have prescribed you something to take unless it was safe for you and baby.
Avatar f tn I think I have a slight cold coming on. .im 2months what are some safe medicines to take? I love Nyquil pills they work so fast but im not sure if they're pregnany safe.!
1522407 tn?1291222859 Personally, I don't like to take medicines unless I have to, but with my first pregnancy, I had awful headaches and 1 or 2 migraines. I would lay down in the room with no lights and would massage vicks vapor rub on my head and temples and close my eyes. I also would try to drink tons of water as well. I also went to a chiropractor, and that seemed to help as well. But definitely talk to your doc about what is safe to take during pregnancy. I hope they let up soon for you!

For headaches, muscle aches, or mild pain, you may take 2 regular strength acetaminophen(ah-SEE-tah-min-oh-fen) tablets (325mg), like Tylenol, every 6 hours as needed. For head congestion or stuffy nose, try saline nasal spray. You may take 2 squirts in each nostril every 6 hours.
Avatar f tn Hi all! I was just wondering if it was safe to take aceiteminophen chronically if prescribed in conjunction with a narcotic by an orthopedic doctor for degenerative disc disease (norco 7.5/325)? I have been taking the medication for about a month now and I'm starting to worry about my liver b/c I see all of the warnings! I never exceed 1000 mg of tylenol in one day with this medication. Please let me know if I am at risk!
