Avatar m tn I have had cellulitis twice in the last eight months and the lymph nodes under my arms are swollen to the size of golf balls and very painful. My dr says that it's a result of the cellulitis and I will have to go on periodic antibiotic injections until the swelling goes down. What next?

Some vets are happy to have a short phone discussion about any issues, especially if you are thinking about adopting a pup. But as they are very busy, you might have to arrange a time to speak to them. Ask at a vet's reception area.
Avatar f tn Just found this online, doesn't seem to have a political axe to grind either for or against Lyme; takes a neutral point of view. This is part of a longer article. I searched "lyme uveitis" and got this and other articles that may be helpful. Avatar n tn My husband is 57, has Type II diabetes. He developed cellulitis approx. 7 years ago. Up to this time it has flared up only if or when he bumped his leg. he would run a very high fever, take a course of antibiotics and it would clear up. However, this time he takes the antibiotics and as soon as he quits taking the pills the infection starts back up. We are both at out wits end. I want him to go see another doctor that specializes in this area. Question is what sort of doctor do we look for?
Avatar n tn //www.endomail.com/articles/yb08multiples.html I would suspect that an endo specialty student should have identified all the canals, but sometimes there can be tricky anatomy that can throw the result off. One other possibility might be that the apical abscess in the alveolar bone is flaring up with no path of exit since the root canal was completed.

Avatar n tn retaining of salt, which may be due to heart conditions and other ailments, according to MedicineNet. Foods to avoid--in order to reduce salt intake--are common items such as potato chips, french fries, fast food and simply the salt shaker itself. This remedy has been recommended for many years by doctors as an alternative to prescription diuretics".
Avatar n tn For possible causes google rectal bleeding and click onto one of the many sites - the Medicinenet site is particularly informative. Then you will be better informed when you discuss with your doctor. If the doctor's diagnosis is vague ("...well it looks as if it might be one of the minor causes such as anal fissure haemorrrohids etc.....") you may wish to request a colonoscopy.

Avatar n tn My husband has diabeties and gets cellulitis because usually a diabetic's immune system becomes weak. If the meds he is on are not working he needs to go back and see his Doctor, personally I would take him to hospital as cellulitis is very painful and spreads quite rapidly. A Specialist treating my husband once mentioned to me that if my husband was going to contract cellulitis it would most likely come back about the same time every year.

12259696 tn?1424313703 Hello, My son is low functioning autistic. He had Cellulitis out of the blue in January, He has prior too having the Cellulitis a low grade fever, ranging from 99.5 to 100.5 during the bout with this infection he was up to 104. HIs face and lips were so swollen and no one knows why. He responded to the antibiotics and the swelling went down within a week. He is still experiencing Low grade fevers and has a cluster of swollen lymph nodes.
Avatar m tn On January 16th, after popping an ingrown hair on my shaft, I developed fever/chills overnight, and my penis shaft swelled up tremendously in a few hours (all symptoms of cellulitis). No sores, just swollen. Doctor said he was certain it was cellulitis, and prescribed antibiotics which fixed everything. After doing some reading, I found that cellulitis can affect people with HIV because of their weakened immune system. I guess it is the timing of all this that has me scared.
