Avatar m tn take that mask off it does not work. I asked her why then do surgeons wear masks in the operating rooms and she countered with they do not wear the masks anymore they wear face shields. I countered with well my anastheiologist was wearing a cloth face mask last month when I had my gall bladder removed and she said do what you like; wear it or don't wear it, I don't care.
Avatar f tn One of the most important reasons is that the pain medications mask symptoms, and therefore make an examination by a physician difficult, since human memory of pain is virtually non-existent. As far as vicodin goes, administering this medication would subject you to arrest, prosecution and removal of your son by child protective services, if your son told anyone about it. He needs to go to an ER.
Avatar f tn I am hopeful it will go away after my little man gets here. Idont wear foundation or makeup but i tried to put some on for an event this past weekend and i thought it was still noticable. Sorry i cant be of more help!

Avatar n tn We just spent 3 days in the hospital with our two year old. She was diagnosed with asthma, RSV, low oxygen saturation levels, and pneumonia. We were sent home yesterday with nebulizer to use every 4 hrs as needed. I have a couple of questions. 1. SHe hates these treatments altogether, but the mask is completely impossible to use. In the hospital they were using the "blow by" method, and we are using this at home, too.

Avatar f tn Went through 1 mos of Chinese medicine (accupuncture/herbs/wheatgrass) and retested to a scary 26.9 fsh! I just turned 40, am single and trying this on my own. Dr was willing to do donor sperm if my fsh was lower. Now it's doubled. Has anyone had the reverse effect with accupuncture/herbs?
Avatar n tn t like their patients treating cough symptoms with regular cough medicine as they mask the symptoms of a developing flare. Any of the various forms of albuterol actually do work better than standard cough medicines for non-cough variant asthma. Monitor your symptoms carefully and if things get out of hand, be sure to see your doctor quickly. Feel better and God bless.
Avatar f tn Both of my children were like that until I gave them their "breathing treatments" exactly twice a day (as prescribed) consistently - even when they are well for their Pulmicort. They also gave us xopanex 4 x per day when they are ill or having an episode. It takes a while for it to start working and it's hard to stay on top of...they also gave my daughter singulair for a while.
Avatar f tn i may have no place taking up space on this forum - however the man of my dreams (while undergoing treatment for Hodgkins lymphoma, was diagnosed with cancer in his thyroid)....his thyroid was removed 9 days ago and so far he was been prescribed Cytomel....his moods are on the depressive side, his appetite has increased and i am concerned because his physical energy level has drastically decreased. Although he is in remisssion from Hodgkins (thanks to God and excellent medical care)...

Avatar f tn My husband was recently given a cpap and a brand new mask. He used it a couple of nights and really felt great in the mornings when he woke up. Friday night he used the mask, slept in a recliner (he is a heavy man and has a hard time sleeping lying down) and literally slept for 9 straight hours in the same position. When he woke up he felt so great, but he had a hard red lump in the middle of his eyebrows.
Avatar f tn The Vets are pretty good. Same medicine! Just alot cheaper! lol The last time I went to the doctor, I had pneumonia and bout died from it cause I let it go so long! The doctor yelled at me and I asked if he was gonna treat me for free! Gave me some antibiotics and a week or so later I was some better but it did some damage to the lungs having it that long with no treatment. So yeah I know what ya mean..
Avatar n tn Guzzo hit the mark first time out of the box and prescribed 200 MG Carbamazepine which was like water to a man dying of thirst. He also reccomended follow up visits to nerve and headache specialists. My question is: I prefer to not get on the chemical merry-go-round if at all possible, which require more medications and so forth and go the naturopathic route as that has no side effects, so is there a natural regimen I can take for the problem?
