7552771 tn?1469929649 I got one a couple days ago and have been using it everyday for 10-20 minutes a day. I must say my back feels better, my legs feel stronger(I've been using to help with squats since I plan to squat for labor), and its good exercise. I'm so happy I got one. Its good for all stages. I just looked up on YouTube birthing ball exercises. And for those who don't know a birthing ball is the same as those big bouncy work out balls you sit on they sell them for 8$ at Walmart.

Avatar f tn I watched a video I thought it was just a simple and quick thing but its not its a needle for numbness and I a bigger needle for the medicine.
Avatar f tn I have one but I'm only 25 weeks. I use it for squats and stretching and pelvic tilts.
Avatar f tn I am 38+2 and been trying to kick start things and what I have been doing is bouncing on a yoga ball, lots of walking, going up and down the stairs (when going up I take them by 2) and going down I jump haha they say bumpy car ride can help (or yoga ball) and I can say in the last 2 days I have dropped significantly!
192368 tn?1224204130 Yes! I just watched a video on this a couple of days ago. It is not covered by insurance, but it is a weekly procedure that costs about $55 per visit. They do it through an I.V. and they basically shoot you up with a HUGE dose of vitamins. I'm not exactly sure what is in the cocktail, but I am not surprised that bringing up all of a person's vitamin levels would make them feel a whole lot better and help them to be pain free for a week or so.
Avatar f tn Did you know that we are the only mammals that doubt our ability to give birth?... That fear birth... This says a lot being that we're the most advanced species. I wish I could post a video I saw a couple days back but there's truly nothing to fear but fear itself. Yes there will be pain but with relaxing and focusing on the good and joy of the moment I can almost bet that will be the last emotion felt. Our body releases oxytocin and endorphins to alleviate our pain.
1336491 tn?1340619541 I have this big cylinder made by Gaima it is like a ball but more stable I roll out on it several times a day when I do a lot of standing. It came with a back stretches video. It has made all the difference for me and I have at least three bad discs along with the MS. The exercise are also great. Normal yoga-pilates but the ball supports you.
1325861 tn?1437020367 I know why I am in such a bad place right now. I stopped my medicine for one day and begin to track my mood and anything different going on with me each day. I figured out not to take my lamictal in the morning with the adderrall because it made me irritable and weepy. I just started back on my lithium with 200mg of lamictal at bedtime. I was trying to see can I still take the klonapin since i am so manic this week. It really calms me down, but that is what the lithium is supposed to do.
1508698 tn?1360215710 For example, a person who listens to death metal all day, plays violent video games, watches horror movies and smokes like a chimney all day long will probably not feel nearly as good as someone who may listen to jazz or classical, no video games, enjoys scented candles...and likes comedic movies. Our sight, hearing, smell and touch ALL contribute to our mental state.

6088943 tn?1381725210 Has anyone tried using a birthing/exercise ball while in labor? I'm being induced Friday morning at exactly 39 weeks. And I'm trying to find alternative natural ways of relieving the contraction pains. I'm getting an epidural, but my doctor wants me to wait till I'm 4-5 cm dilated to get it. So I'd like to try different things to help while waiting for the medicine. Any other suggestions?
Avatar f tn Bounce on a yoga ball, sex and long walks. That's what my doc told me, but I am due in 3 days so far nothing has helped.
Avatar f tn So you have a Pilates ball? Try sitting on that. It's helps with some of the sciatica pain. There are some stretches that will help online as well. I also found I'd I stopped drinking about an jour n a half before bed I didn't get up to pee quite as much. As for heartburn. Try not drinking anything while you eat. I am taking zantac on a daily basis. 75 mg. As for the stubbed toe....look up on YouTube and show him the video of men getting la or pains via electric shocks.
Avatar f tn Same here!! I've been walking, doing squats, bouncing on my ball and yet nothing.
492921 tn?1321289896 I wont' be making a birth plan but this time I WILL be insisting that I be there for her pku and first bath. Last time they didn't even bother to ask me. I will also insist on NO BOTTLES. Last time they gave my son some sugar water to help "break up the congestion" he had. WITHOUT asking me first. But these are things DH and I will put our foot down about while we're there. This is a small hospital will stupid rules and regulations.
