I don't know that taking clonazepam and xanax is safe, as they are both benzos and target the same thing, GABA. And they aren't used for depression, they are used for anxiety -- an anti-anxiety drug, which is usually sedating, can actually increase anxiety, although the Cymbalta would possibly prevent that. I'd ask about taking two benzos at the same time on a regular basis. But as to the valium for surgery, I had that when I was on clonazepam.

I also do have xanax but only a .25 dose of that and was given 2 prescriptions one from each doctor and was only given like maybe 20 pills. I have about 5 left because I did not take them regularly and probably have some more downstairs from my mom. which would be better to take? and is a .25 dosage of xanax safe? its a small dosage isn't it?
Are there any anxiety medications that do not cause bad side effects? Ive taken meds before but my anxiety got worse and I started feeling depressed so I stopped taking them. Right now I am not on any medications and have been trying to overcome the anxiety on my own but sometimes it's so hard and I wish there was a good medication that won't give you all those side effects. I thought that maybe the dosage was too high for me cause I am a female and I weigh about 115 lbs.
My dr put me on diazepam to relax my uterus as I had an allergic reaction to the meds he gave me to stop my preterm labour. But I read on google diazepam is valium and bad when your pregnant. Has anyone been on this before? Was baby ok when born?
1mg everynight at bedtime, zoloft 50mg every morning, tenex 1mg 3 times a day, and valium 10mg as needed for anxiety. Now to me this seems like a lot of medications to take considering I have never took any of them before. He determined I needed all this stuff after a 2 hour pshc evaluation and I am tapering suboxone.all of these meds he says are to help me through the taper and minimize withdrawels the easiest way possible.
I have GAD. This morning I took 2.5mg. of valium and waited an hour and nothing. So, I took the other 2.5 mg. 2 hours later, whoa..... quite sedated! I have to be someplace this evening so I'm hoping that the effects will ease up just a bit.
Is this normal? I guess I should have waited longer on the 2.5mg. but from all I've read, it takes anywhere from 20 min. to one hour to get full effect and when I felt nothing after an hour, I took the other half.
Also the side effects of weight gain and some other negative side effects are the reason I would love to get off of it. If anyone knows of any medications instead of seroquel that might work.....
I have narcolepsy and am currently taking 60mg adderoll and 60mg valium/day to counteract the anxiety from the adderoll. I have been very tired and think I need to taper off my valium. I was thinking of tapering 5/mg every 10 days of the Valium down to 20-30/mg and see how I feel. Is this safe? I cannot talk to my doctor due to insurance problems.
You will be under doctors supervision and they give you medications such as valium and antinausea shots to keep you comfortable. I think you will feel safe there. It is not jail, they just want to see you succeed. Good luck and keep us posted.
Along with research it is been read that Clonazepam is a treatment for Akathisia (which is obviously another benzodiazepine). I have a doctors appointment soon, whom prescribes me the valium and I was wondering if it would be appropriate to bring this up to him and suggest the switch to this benzo from the valium. The valium is for my spasms (which it works great). The GABA action I get from it must be good due to my lack there of spasms, I hope Klonopin does the same.

I was on 2mgs per day along with 1mg of Xanax and Aropax (quite the Cocktail). I have been on these meds for a while now, nearly 10yrs and have decided of my own free will to start weaning off them.

been taking Adderall valium and oxycodone for 12 years all drug tests have shown compliance. now I got a false
neg and cant get medicine when I took them as prescribed. what could cause that? tried cbd oil but nothing else, the blood test said I didn't take the valium and adderal and a small amt of oxycodone. I took them all that am . why is it wrong?

I also take Gabapentin/Neurontin 100 mg's a night for a nerve pain issue. Is it ok to mix the 2?
