If he was made aware of your birth control first, then he would not give you a med that would interact.

I would also ask a doctor or pharmacist to see what medications do infact interefere with it and adjust your bc or medications accordingly!

Because the Paraguard has no hormones that interfere with the cycle or fertility, we conceived when I ovulated the next day after the IUD removal. I'm 9 weeks this week and my OB was astonished that I came back to her so soon after the IUD removal, but attributed it to it being a hormone-free birth control.

Avatar f tn Im not 100 percent sure about the injectitons but I would assume that it can effect your birth control like it does all of the others. Antibiotics have a half life that can temporarily effect birth control, but not permanetly. Ask your doctor for more advise, he/she will be able to tell you immediately.

You can change the birth control and check if vaginal dryness continues. If it does, then the causes mentioned above have to be ruled out.

They do not interfere with your future ability to conceive/ your fertility at all, the above is not correct. Chima reminds us that this side effect may occasionally happen if someone does not take their pill correctly.

It's pregnancy category C, which means that you can keep taking it if you and your doctor decide that it's worth it. Trileptal is off-label, but is described as the new improved version of Tegretol (carbamazepine), with fewer side effects. It's also weight neutral.

Keep in mind that some antibiotics can interfere with the pill, and might require a backup method. Most pill packs have instructions that you should get a pregnancy test after 2 missed periods.
