Finally I went on the internet and researched about Jaw and Migraines and found 2 Drs. in my area that treated that very problem. I called, made an appt. The Dr. was my hero.

It feeds sensation and function to your jaws, face, tongue, sinus, palate, eyes, teeth, and lips. The trigeminal accounts for over 40% of the brain's processing. The trigeminal also has innervation and control over certain areas of the brain itself. The trigeminal nerve is also "married" to the facial, hypoglossal, and vagus nerves.

Avatar f tn My cat was hit by a car 2 weeks ago and treated for a broken jaw. She has been on Medcam for the last 2 weeks. I took her off of it 2 days ago. She has randomly been having spurts of twitching, excessive licking and biting to all parts of her body. She was put under to have her jaw wired and was given a slow release morphine shot as well. Is this just her coming off the medications or should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn He does not believe it is TMJ because it is not concentrated around my jaw. Rather it hurts ALL over from my jaw, temples, sides of my head, forehead, neck, and sometimes shoulders. The MRI came back completely normal. My headache does not respond to Imitrex, Celebrex, or Advil. It does seem to be somewhat alleviated by chewing gum, which seems really strange to me. He has suggested I see a neurologist. I'm wondering if it might be environmental... Any theories?
