cpap

Avatar f tn My friend's company replaces his CPAP supplies whenever he asks. They give you instructions on how to keep it clean. Obviously nobody wants to do it, but there are consequences. Otherwise they would let you do it the easy way. Now you have unexplained lung nodules, so you will have to get a biopsy to find out what is going on. Nobody here can help you.
1876457 tn?1322405589 Can anyone explain the way Medicare works with part d coverage for copaxone? The term catastrophic coverage has raised my eyebrow a smidge. I'm awaiting a call back from shared solutions and their "medicare" expert team. If im understanding the sales lady right, she informed me I would be responsible for the first $4700 approx.?
1516809 tn?1345082764 I spoke to the case Manager for his floor, and to her boss as well, and they both quote the change in the Medicare guidelines which establishes that the hospital will not get paid for the third day under his category of admission Observation. When I took my father to the ER, I was not thinking of categories of Admission nor do I think that I should be. Secondly, if the doctor supposedly admits him, I would not think to question the doctor's motive.
Avatar n tn You can start by writing to the mfg to see if they offer free or reduced cost supplies. You also can search for and inquire at free clinics in your area. Use Google search for free clinics XXX, ZZ, where XXX is your city and ZZ the state. Another source which provides links to "free" diabetic supplies is http://tinyurl.
1516809 tn?1345082764 yes, I did speak to a Hospital Administrator who quoted Medicare Guidelines; yes, I did speak directly to the Nursing Home, who quoted Medicare Guidelines, too. My position was that if my father did not meet the criteria for admission, he should have been turned away from the ER. These people had the audacity to say to me when I asked what are my options, we are sympathetic but you can do private pay, and get whatever you want,(where is my million dollars when I need it?
Avatar n tn I believe these 4 thing are somehow interrelated The sleep disorder place has ordered a cpap continuos positive air pressure pump with a mask. Hopefully this will solve the sleep aphnea. Re: post nasal drip: The allergist gave me 2 samples, both of them are mists. I have taken first one and then the other for 6 days now and I can not see any improvement. .Th allergist wants to put me on a long program of shots, probably years.
Avatar f tn Cardio visit yesterday, only have to go once a year now. CPAP working better, have dissolvable zofran at bedside, as I wake up either with a headache (from straps too tight) or nausea, so grab one of those; they work almost instantly. So am sleeping better and with Adderall and better rest, am feeling much better. Can I wish away the summer heat/humidity? Not sure I will get the invite for Lemtrada as medicare requires that you have been on two other drugs at least.
Avatar f tn This is essentially equivalent to home health services in the United States. I will be referring to these services with regards to Medicare and Medicaid here.
Avatar m tn Medigap works along side your original Medicare helping to pay Medicare covered expenses that are not paid for by Medicare due to deductibles and coinsurance. You have several more weeks to change a supplement during this open enrollment time. Again the choices are a Medigap or an Advantage Plan. If you select the Medigap you will not have to give up your PMP - provided he/she accepts Medicare. Your real questions was how will you withdraw from an opiate. It's tough but it can be done.

961503 tn?1247059639 Go back to whoever you get your cpap supplies from and ask about a full face mask. The chin strap did not work for me....... I had to get the mask that covers both nose and mouth. Hope that helps!
Avatar f tn Anyone on medicare have any experience or enlightenment on provigil financial help? I've been quoted 33% copay (tier 4) by my drug insurance company which is over $300 for me The online sources I've contacted no longer cover provigil since the generic came out and the generic is about the same price... Avatar f tn A position paper updating the AACE/ATA guidelines for endocrinologists in the treatment of hypothyroidism was released today. Seems not to have considered either the Danish or Italian studies on the benefits of T4/T3 therapy previously published in EJM, and published by NIH here in February. At least they suggest including symptoms in making a diagnosis. Interesting read, highly recommend. Here is the PDF link : http://aace.metapress.com/content/b67v7mk73g3233n2/fulltext.
Avatar n tn In reading the qualifications for total disability, I find the insurer goes by the AMA Guidelines. I googled all over the place about the AMA Guidelines, and I find them illusive. They seem to change sustantively each year. These Guidelines go by body part. My issues are heart, lungs, OSA, OA, and EBV. Absolutely nothing has been amputated! My claim would be for non-occupational disability. Does anyone know how to prepare a claim under these vague guidelines?
Avatar f tn Pressure support ventilation, where air under gentle pressure is passed into the airways keeping it patent. A CPAP delivers continuous pressure for both inhaling and exhaling. As this supplies continuous amount of air pressure the person has to exhale against this extra pressure. This makes it imperfect or unsuitable for certain people, such as those who are suffering from neuromuscular diseases.
612876 tn?1355514495 I just received paperwork in the mail congratulating me that as of February 2009 I will qualify for Medicare, and informing me that I need to respond to make certain selections regarding my Medicare program. When I called Medicare, they informed me that because I have Medicaid I won't have to pay premiums. BUT, I will now have copays on every single one of my prescriptions. (I take 20 medications right now.
Avatar m tn I have medicare in California I will enroll in it next month,I have liver transplant with hcv and cirrhosis ,I need to find out how medicare and if medicare pay for sovaldi and olysio.

600561 tn?1326845621 I have just visited a prosthodontist concerning a device recommended for mild sleep apnea patients instead of the CPAP machine. Medicare will be billed $800 + and I will pay $4-500 for things insurance will not cover. ON THE OTHER HAND: www.snorerx.com/stopsnoring looks very, very , very much like the device mentioned above that I am NOT going to have Medicare billed for. Why not invest $100 and try it instead of draining Medicare and spending much more myself? I have mild (5.
1635208 tn?1300807160 Solvaid (sorry mis-spelled) Also have questions re insurance. Am hoping to start treatment in Sep., but have medicare part D--AARP Medicare RX Preferred (PDP) in Ill.--& tho I can call, was wondering if anyone else was able to successfully navigate the many hoops I'm sure one has to jump thru?? Also what co-pay? .
Avatar f tn Hi-- When you say Medicare, I assume it is Medicare Part D, administered by an insurance company like Blue Cross, etc? If so, you might be in for sticker shock. I had a similar experience w/ Forteo, via Part D, they wanted $5K for 3 months. I went directly to Lilly, and qualified for pro bono meds for 2 years, the limit of tx on Forteo. My understanding is patients with cirrhosis get priority. Other Gilead experienced persons, and there are a few here, can tell you more.
Avatar m tn Hi, thanks so much for your response. I'm on Spiriva and use a Nebulizer with Albuterol. I have a rescue inhaler for my asthma. I did have a weeks course of Prednisone about 3 or 4 weeks ago when I had a bad spell. I don't want Advair as I used it for a couple of years for asthma before the COPD was diagnosed and didn't see any benefit from it at all. Hopefully my doctor will help me find a way to improve a bit.
461838 tn?1255790216 In my case it showed periods of low oxygen levels, sufficient to qualify under Medicare (yes I have insurance) for supplemental oxygen. I discussed with my primary care doctor and ended taking an overnight sleep study at the local hospital (not low cost) and was diagnosed with mild obstructive sleep apnea...
511455 tn?1224183831 ) I applied for badgercare (thats what its called in wisconsin) but its Medicaid or Medical Assistance, Every state has it and if you are pregnant and meet the guidelines they will pay 100% of your doctors visits. I have primary insurance through my work, then Medicare will pick up whatever my primary insurance doesn't pay.
523728 tn?1264621521 I would like to think ASCO could suggest some guidelines. I think I would trust ASCO over insurance companies and/or the government running Medicare. Thanks, Sharon .. .don't know where you found this .. but am sending it on.
