So i don't really know if you have it or not. Please advise him to see his doctor - this may not necessarily be a neurological illness, so don't jump to conclusions too quickly with a diagnosis. Causes of secondary amenorrhea include stress and anxiety, malnutrition, depression, overexercising, sudden weight loss or gain (obesity),thyroid disorders and hormonal imbalance due to polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS). Its best to tackle the problem of restlessness by approaching all of them together. Stop using stimulants during the day, get excersise every day for about 30 min, eat well, dont eat right before sleep. The hard part about all of that is that it often requires changes to many engrained habits.
