Avatar m tn If you find a good massage person (think medical massage rather than slinky white robe massage), it can do wonders. Or a chiropractor? Icing and heat can help and I like some of the things like biofreeze, salon pas, etc. Arnica even can help. But really, massage saved me years back.
Avatar f tn I heard while pregnant you should not go get ur nails done st salons bc of chemicals n the strong smells is it that bad? Also someone said the tools used could be dirty n risk of exposure to hep C. I want to get my nails n toes done. Does anyone know if this is true?

1374102 tn?1363009479 I had my husband rub my back last night it helped but i know he isn't as good as a professional. Now its my lower back. This weekend i am going to look for a pillow i can use for my chair at work. Thanks for the responses ladies! This is my first pregnancy so i'm new to all this.
Avatar f tn It seems like it is fine to do them except as you get closer to the end of your pregnancy. There are massage points on your ankle from what I am told that will trigger labor. To be honest with you, I haven't had once since I found I'm pregnant.
Avatar f tn sorry to hear ur in pain ***** I know I had super bad back pain all my first trimester to the point where crying was my only hope! Just try hot showers or ur significant other massage ur back! It will subside! I'm 27 weeks now n no back pain....
Avatar f tn Hey ladies, im also a July mum at 27 weeks and have a fairly small frame but have a big bust and the bump is ever growing. My lower back is in pieces I can barely walk. People think its a typical pregnant waddle but the pain is causing me to limp. Im pretty certain its siatica or syatica (not quite sure how its spelt). The pain starts in my lower back and shoots down. I cant have a sports massage as laying on my tummy isnt gonna happen and any stretches my bump makes difficult.
Avatar f tn I pulled a muscle in my middle back, I can barely stand, any ideas?
Avatar f tn Im a massage practitioner myself, so I would highly recommend it. ;-) But if it's not an option for you then I suggest doing slow, gentle stretches, bending down slowly and letting your arms dangle for a while, taking a relaxing warm bath, applying a heating pad to the area, lying down differently, going on all fours and just rocking back and forth, or tilting your back up and down (like a bridge..lol) hope that makes sense. Those exercises really help.
Avatar m tn I injured my upper back about a month ago, had some massage therapies last week and the pain/discomfort was significantly decreased but today my pain is much worse. The therapist said that I pulled some muscles and i would feel better every day but now this... I havent stressed out the area since I m sitting or lying in bed almost all day. Is it normal for muscle pain to flactuate during recovery or is the injury worse? Should I do any stretches and how long should they take?
Avatar f tn I'm 20 weeks & having back pain but it is in my lower back from the extra weight pulling on my spine. Have your breast size increased much? It could be the extra weight pulling on your upper back.
Avatar f tn My back pain is so intense, i feel like my thighs are tingling, has anyone else felt like this?
Avatar f tn I am constantly having a servere sore back. I can have a sore back all day everday some days its worse than others. Like tonight mines so painful i can hardly move in bed or even walk. Im 28 weeks but measuring at 30 weeks. My husband rubs my lower back thats where all the pain is. Is there anything else i can do to try to help my sore back.
5615074 tn?1378316840 Go and get a massage ;-) it'll ease the pain, and its the best way to relax. I'm a massage practitioner myself, so it is perfectly fine for you to get a massage and cannot cause labour, what many think...of you can't go to get a massage, Take a warm bath, and let your special one rub your back gently... Like circling around the area, and applying a bit of pressure. See if that helps.
