305180 tn?1279716747 Hey there ladies just wondering if anyone has found any kind of relief for Sciatica. My left sciatic nerve is pinched and I can barely walk in the morning when I get up. It takes a good 10 minutes to get to a point where I can walk at least somewhat comfortably. I have only gained about 15 pounds too, so I dont understand why its hurting so bad. Maybe its from lifting somethign heavy last weekend, but since then that left side has been hurting really bad. Any ideas on how to get some relief?
Avatar f tn I have it too and it is awful! My Dr said chiropractor or get a massage... But I feel like that would only be temp relief... It's been hurting for weeks now :( takes my breath away pain!
Avatar f tn What are some methods y'all used to help relieve sciatica pain??
65373 tn?1539097226 It's been a month since i injected Betaseron in left butt cheek. It still feels like I've been stabbed. I think it is from hitting a spot that I had injected before, but it also feels like sciatica because there's pain (even in bone) going down my leg to my ankle. Ibuprofen helps for about an hour and I'm in pain again. Walking makes it worse and I've done the sciatica stretches. Does anyone have any idea how I can get rid of this once n for all???
Avatar m tn My partner has been plagued with what he thinks is sciatica nerve pain for a number of years. He often complains of tightness in his lower back on the left side and when i try to massage it for him he says it hurts too much to touch. Furthermore he complains that it travels down through his left buttock down his left leg and stops at the knee. Shortly after i met him the pain was so bad that he couldn't stand up or walk. He often describes it as a dull ache and with it ending at the knee.
Avatar f tn I have 2 vertebrae that aren't connected so I've always had problems, but since I've been pregnant(I'm 25 weeks) my sciatica has been horrendous! I just cry and cry! My whole leg goes numb and it's the worst pain I've ever had in my left hip. I have medicine for it, but can't take it bc of the baby. What can I do for this? Tylenol doesn't touch it... I have three more months left and I don't see how I can keep doing this! Help!
Avatar f tn Hey..just wondering does anyone know anything about sciatica and how to ease the pain of it..
Avatar f tn What did u do for relief? Mine went out two years ago and I layed in bed for two months because I couldnt move. Its not that bad this time but im afraid its going to get that bad and I know I cant take anything for it with pregnancy so I was just wondering how some of u got relief?
Avatar f tn I had a prenatal massage today and eve. That only helped and little bit. It's the sciatica so u do like and that's very common in pregnancy. Only advice I could give would be to bist out the big guns and go to a chiropractor.
Avatar f tn Just wondering if anyone else is struggling with sciatica and any suggestions of how to get rid of it?
996946 tn?1503249112 Thank you so much for that suggestion. I know they do some massage with her, maybe they need to do that more often. They are first time parents and I know that in itself can be stressful and anxious.
4437866 tn?1388119624 It might be your sciatica. See about going into therapeutic massage. ..like the places that do massage after an injury.
Avatar f tn I am thinking about seeking treatment but wondering if people see chiropractors or massage therapist for sciatica pain. I do not have extended benefits so i will be out of pocket the money which is why i wont be able to do both! Fyi i wont take drugs as an option. I appreciate any opinions!
Avatar f tn I have a couple different kinds of pain, sciatica is just the only one I have an explanation for. I've thought about a teen pregnancy support group, and will be taking a childbirth class directed at teenagers pretty soon, I would love to talk to other people my age who are doing this.
Avatar f tn I am 8w 4d pregnant and I have this horrible pain in what feels like my tailbone. It hurts really bad when I walk or just move a certain way. Google tells me it's sciatica. Is there anything I can do to alleviate the pain? Any advise would be ggreatly appreciated!
7677085 tn?1395374075 Try stretching ur legs lay down on the floor and put up ur feet as near to ur face as u can that will help alot or look up for some YouTube videos for sciatica during pregnancy it help me alot i know how pain full it is
Avatar f tn I was 2 weeks pregnant with my first daughter when sciatica hit me. That's why I went to the doctor, I couldn't take the pain. Turned out I had a tiny fetus resting on the nerve. Now pregnant with my second, my sciatica started at 17 weeks. I actually have massage therapy on February 2nd, which I didn't get with my first.
Avatar n tn I deal with this thru massage therapy and it helps a lot for me. I request a theraputic massage not a feel good one and have the area worked on to relax the clenched muscles that a flare up causes me. Be cautious with the pain meds especially opiates like perc. and very cautious if offered oxycontin or methadone as both are highly addictive and dangerous to your health-this isn't a scare but documented, however those of us in pain don't care at the time and we end up hooked on them.
Avatar f tn Ughh mine hurts allllllllll the time mostly when I move from laying on ny back and standing up and putting pressure on my legs , sometimes I almost fall!!
Avatar f tn Oh yeah! I totally forgot about swimming! It feels great, your weightless and it's amazing. I did massage but be careful, I had one when I had bad sciatic pain and she used too much pressure, I thought I was gonna die afterwards. I had one recently with sciatic pain and it relaxed me but did not help at all with pain. I'm sure the prenatal type of massage makes a difference. I've gotten better results with chiropractic and physical therapy than massage personally.
Avatar n tn very true but...also sciatica muscle also may be the reason and if it is related to any of that go to a massage therapist not a doctor. They will only give you a muscle relaxant and/or pain releivers and send you home with the problem still there just covered up.
Avatar f tn I have back surgery for bulging of L4. I was in pain. It hurt to walk. Felt like pins and needles. Felt like it was burning. Had sciatica from my butt down my leg. Surgery did work. No pain walking. But if I walk a lot I get sciatica. Every night my muscles in my butt and leg are so tight. Usually a massage will help. Does anyone have this and what helps?
Avatar n tn Anyone of u experience sciatica pain in early pregnancy. 12 weeks today.
