Avatar f tn I have a really good massage therapist who is also going to school for PT, she does TMJ massage for me and it is so helpful to my headaches. Finding a way to learn to relax those muscles will be key for you - I also do yoga which has helped so much. I have found a lot of helpful pressure points, cold water techniques from searching on youtube under "Migraine relief" there are endless chriros and PTs that offer solutions. Best of luck.
Avatar f tn In most cases, these headaches are transformed migraines or migraines which eventually became more frequent and more like tension headaches. Massage therapy and stress reduction techniques such as breathing exercises and meditation may help. Regular blood pressure monitoring is also highly recommended. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn I've been experiencing bad headaches lately. I take a Tylenol at least once a day 500mg. Is there a limit of consumption day/week during Pregnancy?
Avatar n tn re most likely tension headaches caused by the stress of the detox. Try relaxation techniques or get a massage. If the headaches reduce after a massage, then they're most likely tension induced.
996946 tn?1503249112 Thank you so much for that suggestion. I know they do some massage with her, maybe they need to do that more often. They are first time parents and I know that in itself can be stressful and anxious.
Avatar f tn I'm with u girl. Massage helps mine go away. Nothing else works.. Tylenol, caffeine, exercise, sleep, nothing. Only massage. Feel better!
Avatar m tn Aside from massage, you could also benefit from biofeedback therapy and other relaxation techniques. Talk to your doctor about this for proper management. Take care and best regards.

Avatar n tn One differential may include ice pick headaches. The International Headache Society classify these headaches if there is no other disorder present, no accompanying symptoms, head pain occurring as single stab or series of stabs and stabs lasting for up to a few seconds and recurring with irregular frequency. It is important that you identify and avoid any trigger. Relaxation techniques may also be helpful; try to remain calm and take slow, deep breaths.

Avatar f tn My 34 yr old husband has recently (in the last month) started having extreme headaches. He says that the are constant, sharp, pains. The location is from his shoulders up through his neck, continuing to the back of his head (about ear level) and goes around the sides. There's no pain in the top or front of his head. Our Dr. at first said sinus infection and gave 2 rounds of antibiotics. Then he said it was pre-hypertension with his blood pressure running about 135/90 and put him on b.p.
Avatar f tn i was on topmax for my migraines but i stop taking them i could afford to go to the norlgist (the head doc) it was like $100 for each vist.
Avatar n tn And I was staying away from caffeine which also can help headaches a bit too. So, it was hard. You know what helped me? massage. Got anyone who can do that for you? My husband may have gotten sore hands from my massage requests and this may sound odd but my sister would also massage my neck and head. I was desperate man and that helped. I had someone tell me too that putting a cold pack on the head helps and have tried that and sure enough, it does. Try to get extra sleep if you can.
Avatar f tn I took Treo for my stress headaches and it is indicated actually as a treatment of migraine where other things have failed.....
341042 tn?1244776427 I also have serious migranes, though mine have now lessened, what I had found to be the most helpful in reducing not only regular migraines, but also the rebound headaches was both aroma therapy and different massage therapies. Aroma therapy was really helpful for me because it was something I could do on a regular basis. There is a roll on stick that I found (sold by bath and body works) that had peppermint and gerainum oils in it that worked to ease the migraine (though not relieve it fully).
Avatar f tn So recently for the past few months I have been getting terrible headaches on my right side affecting my eye as well, lasting a few days then going away for awhile. I've also had a constant pain in my jaw. It hurts a lot and increases when I eat. It also hurts behind my ear on the right side as well.
1448936 tn?1363206346 I am in therapy and it has been helping but my life has just been very hectic and these constant symptoms are kicking my butt. I ended up getting a panic attack over them because I started thinking this constant head pressure and headache must be a brain tumor so I took a xanax and some tylenol and now I feel much better. I'm considering going for a massage or to see a chiropractor but I don't know if that will help in the long term.
Avatar f tn I am 19 weeks and for over a week i have woke up every morning with a headache and sore neck. My headache lasts all day. I dont like to take meds especially when pregnant although i have had to take tylenol once this week. I am wondering if it is from the way i am sleeping or something. I usually sleep on my stomach but about 2 months ago i switched to sleeping on my sides with a body pillow between my knees and tucked under my lil belly.
Avatar f tn ) but does anyone know how long the headaches go on for? I have one all day everyday and the highest dose of Advil isn't helping much. I'm eating and drinking lots of water and Gatorade .
1184961 tn?1292574076 Yes & it does help, only it's expensive. My husband has been unemployed for 2 years so we have to cut back on expenses. I do get the massages when I can though. I wish I could get them on a regular basis. I failed to say that I also havae fibromyalgia so the massages does wonders for that when I can get them regularly. I haev 2 friends who are massage therapists who do give me discounts right now, so I am blessed in that respect. Thanks for reminding me of this.

Avatar f tn Sit butterfly style. Breathe deep for a few breaths. As you exhale lean forward, as far as you can, breathe deep for about 5 breaths. All movements slow. Sloooow. Come up on an inhale. Repeat if necessary. It works for me. But if this continues, I'd go to the doctor.
1687031 tn?1359653615 A quick internet search for the MSDS (material safety data sheet) for ClO2 in 0.054% solution, weight per weight in water (which sounds like a low concentration, eh?) suggests immediate medical attention if this stuff is ingested. (Though it lists ingestion as "Not a normal route of exposure," because they are assuming that no one would willingly swallow the stuff!) Other highlights include: INGESTION: Not a normal route of exposure. Harmful if swallowed.

Avatar f tn I have had a terrible headache for over a week now...i feel dizzy and am weak. Walking is okay but just standing there, I feel like I'm going to fall over. When I lay down and shut my eyes , everything spins. And randomly I have very sharp intense pains in my stomach for just a bit and then it goes away. My heart starts racing and I panic about the most littlest thing such as being to close to the side if the road or or just random things ...
