massage

676143 tn?1312941771 I have heard though not to let them massage your achilles when getting a foot massage though since it can send you into labor. However, I am also skeptical about this as well since I've seen numerous people try to send themselves into labor with these old wives tales and nothing has ever come of it.
Avatar f tn Others will have you lay on your side, but i asked dr prior to going and she said it was totally fine as long as it was a prenatal/pregnancy massage. I 100% recommend it for anyone!!! I want another, but am at 38 weeks, so i'm almost done and massages are not cheap.
Avatar f tn Whats the difference between a regular massage and a pregnancy massage??
Avatar f tn This is my 4th pregnancy (3rd successful pregnancy) and I've always wanted to get a pregnancy massage but not sure if it'll be worth it. Has anyone had one before and how was it?
Avatar f tn I'm a massage therapist. You can go onto labor with reflexology of the feet, hand and even during some massages where pressure points are used. Let the therapist know your pregnant AMD how far along you are. And please, make sure they are trained in prenatal massage. So many say they are and don't have a clue. Ease of mind ask for license and if possible, educational background. Massage dulas are awesome if you want one in the delivery room. Little costly but wonderful.
Avatar m tn After the massage when the massuse left the room i masterbated into the towel then left. Also During the massage i got an erection and precum or ejaculate got onto the sheets and towel. Should i be worried that they massuse or someone after me could have gotten pregnant.
Avatar f tn I am a massage therapist and it is perfectly safe for you to receive massage during pregnancy just so long as it is prenatal and they avoid specific lower body acupressure points along your feet and calves. Now, this is not to say they must avoid those areas at all costs, but no specific reflexology may be done there because it can cause adverse side effects. It is highly recommended that you receive massage during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn So I am 35 wks. I have had lots of back pain this whole pregnancy ! Sometimes to where my legs give out... would getting a massage this late in pregnancy be worth it ?
Avatar f tn I just want to say I totally recommended it ! I go to massage school and I get massage every week I have to admit I don't think my body could have handled pregnancywith out massage and yes I'm 8 months pregnant and do massage also !
Avatar f tn I'm a massage therapist an actually u shouldn't get a massage in the first trimester but it is fine to get a prenatal massage
Avatar n tn Hi i was wondereing if anyone knows if massages are safr during pregnancy like has anyone had a prenatal massage ? Its cus my back is killing me but idk if its safe or not ...
Avatar f tn Is it safe for a woman to receive massage during pregnancy? Some massage classes say massage of the feet, and/ or calves, or during the first trimester, could cause a miscarriage. Other classes say it is safe to massage a woman throughout her pregnancy, only avoiding deep pressure. Still other classes specifically recommend extra work on a pregnant woman's feet and calves. Any advice or information is greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Yeah if the place is certified and make sure it's meant for prenatal. And always tell the staff you're pregnant. They'll be more gentle & won't apply pressure on your stomach like most regular full body massage will. They'll just concentrate on feet, shoulder & back. You can get a pedi/medi while pregnant. I've done it throughout my pregnancy and I'm 26 weeks now. As long you pick a place That's nicely ventilated.
16431392 tn?1447875874 My vision is strange too and sometimes I have trouble concentrating and things seem surreal. I am getting really scared and anxious. My symptoms are severe enough to keep me from doing everyday things. I am miserable always. Please tell me if you have experienced this and what it could be. I am so scared.
Avatar f tn t avoid any of the pressure points. Now i went to the deli and bought fresh pineapple and i plan on eating 1lb of it and drinking the juice. My little man is stubborn and i do not think this is going to help. Sex hasn't helped. Castor oil didn't help. Walking hasn't helped. If this doesn't work, it looks like i will have to set an induction date on the 19th. How are you mommies?
Avatar f tn ive been doing regular chiro adjustments, massage, acupuncture and Pilates and haven't had any major pains during my pregnancy but im only 29 wks so not too big yet. im also on my feet all day, being a massage therapist myself so hoepfully everything im doing is working now and will continue too. i also did alot of work on my posture and pelvic floor before we started trying in preparation for these wonderful changes in my body.

1701959 tn?1488551541 It is going to be vital for you to get regular massage during your pregnancy especially with the added weight and strain on your lower back. Hip flexors, gleuts, lower back muscles are key to keeping your spine healthy and without further injury during your pregnancy. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn Does anybody know what kind of place you would go to to get a pregnancy massage?? Really need one.
Avatar f tn I have never been to a chiropractor, quite honestly they freak me out. But I have been having so much back, hip, and sciatic pain that I am getting to the point I will try anything. My OB suggested massage therapy and if it doesn't work then I may need a realignment. Massages usually just give me temporary relief. Has anyone ever been to a chiropractor while pregnant? Its all in my lower back. How do they treat you when pregnant?
Avatar f tn Is it true that Pedicures are not good for early pregnancy? I am 6 weeks and someone told me that pedicures are not good bc they cause your body temp. to rise which "fries" the fetus. Is this true???
Avatar f tn Did any of you moms get a massage during your pregnancy if so how was it? I'm so usual on getting a full body massage but ever since I've been pregnant I haven't gotten one... Is it safe ?
