I've been managing a small medical office for 14 years and we don't qualify for Maternity. I told the Dr. I would like 6 weeks I'll use my vacation for 3 and I will take the other 3 from my personal savings. He just informed me max he's giving me is 4 weeks because he can't run this office without me. What's a girl to do? Do I become insistent and jeopardize my job?
So upset he didn't say ANYTHING when I asked for the 6weeks 4months ago....
My pregancy has been an emotional roller coaster, starting with my dad passing away, business managing and lots of issues with employees, stressing out to the point of contractions... I always take some time for myself, I go for a walk, or exercise in the gym, do some yoga or meditation, I go to the spa or go get a facial... Every single day I do something just for me..
I wish people stop complaining about what questions other people post... Either read it or don't! answer it or don't! I know this may seem hypocritical cuz i am doing the same thing right more but whatever! Don't read mine either!
So since I found out I was pregnant I've been looking on craigslist and eBay to help me find used baby things to buy for the baby, we're on a budget but I want to be able to get my baby what he needs without depending on other people and ever since I started doing that my bf has been complaining.
He went to work and sent me a text mid day that he had quite an episode of rage that scared him, and two of his employees witnessed it.
How do those of you with chiari handle this? Or if you're like me, and a spouse, how do cope??
To the best of our knowledge, we have not lost any employees or volunteers to the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina. But many have lost their homes and possessions. And among the hundreds of thousands of people impacted in those states are countless families with type 1 diabetes, now forced to deal with the daily issues of this disease in the most difficult of circumstances.
One of my kids runs a restaurant in midtown Manhattan and at Penn station. They pay their employees a living wage and he is an amazingly flexible and compassionate employer. He voted for Obama, of course, but he is worried. He says if they have to provide their employees with medical coverage, they will go bankrupt.
I cannot find anything about this--does anyone have any information on this matter?
And whether you agree with me or you agree with President Obama, or whatever your political view, I hope — I hope you pass those along to your employees. Nothing illegal about you talking to your employees about what you believe is best for the business, because I think that will figure into their election decision, their voting decision and of course doing that with your family and your kids as well.
