Avatar f tn During the surgery he made an initial diagnosis of endometriosis and burned off some of the implants that he found. (He showed me the pictures). One of the cysts ruptured during removal. The pathology came back as atypical proliferative borderline endometrioid tumor, and a consult with Johns Hopkins pathology confirmed the diagnosis. I have an appointment with a gyn-oncologist, but I would like to do as much research as possible before.
Avatar n tn I think possibliy you mean ovarian cysts instead of ovarian fibriods as fibriods are assoicated with the Uterus and ovarian cysts are associated with the ovaries.
Avatar m tn I am sorry to hear about your fiancee. It is hard to deal with cysts. Ovarian cysts are very common and many women get them again and again throughout their lifetime. I am not sure why her doctors are advising her to wait so long to conceive. She should ask them the reason. Usually, ovarian cysts are removed without cutting into the uterus. So, having a vaginal birth is not considered risky if you have only had a pelvic surgery and not a uterine cut.

Avatar f tn My sister has had ovarian cysts after having 4 babies over 10 years. It was a year ago when she has the cysts removed. Her dr. is having her checked again because she hasn't had a period in 5 months. She had her tubes tied so she can't get pregnant.
Avatar f tn The hormonal IUD can cause noncancerous growths like ovarian cysts in few women. These can cause abdominal pain and spotting in between. The chances of ectopic pregnancy are increased with the use of IUDs.If you are doubtful about pregnancy take up the test. This is merely an advice. A clinical examination may be necessary for appropriate diagnosis and management of your condition. I hope it helps. Best luck and regards!
Avatar f tn However, since i learn that HCG is a hormone that shows up in pregnancy women, so i wonder if taking HCG will has side effect to my ovarian cysts, for example, HCG will makes my cysts bigger or more complicated? Looking forward to hear back from you. I do appreciate your help.
Avatar f tn I'm about a week late, today I took a test. It come up with one really dark line and the other is really faint. I've been having server pains in my ovaries (I have ovarian cysts). Does anyone know what the pain is from and is that test a negative?
Avatar f tn t believe your dr gave you clomid if you hae pcos.
Avatar n tn Just as most ovarian cysts are benign so are most para-ovarian cysts. From what I have read, they don't usually need intervention / surgery. They look for the presence of free fluid (in the pelvis) as one of the traits that may be indicative of cancer. The fact that there is "no free fluid" is good. Hopefully, your doctor will explain this to you.
Avatar f tn I went and got a CT scan of my Abdomen and Pelvis, and my doctor said I have a 6mm cyst on my liver and cysts in my ovaries and tubes and I should have the ovaries and tubes removed. I read the report and it says cannot see clearly enough but there is "Enhancement" in POSSIBLY my Ovaries, right larger then left. There small amount of pelvic fluid, and could be other etiologies( disease?) My questions are, WHAT IS ENHANCEMENT, can it mean a tumor?
654396 tn?1237508912 1) ovarian cysts are pretty common during the early stages of pregnancy and in the vast majority of cases are benign. Cysts usually "go away" on after a few weeks but if the dont, the doctor might consider options but only if the cysts are large (usually 5-6 cm) or cause you pain 2) its possible, but there are other reasons for multiple cysts too 3) it would be unlikely, but not impossible 4) not sure about this one. When is your next doctors appointment?
Avatar m tn Hello, What you may be having is a simple ovarian cyst. They are common in child bearing age. Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own and a simple ovarian cyst less than 6 cm goes away on its own usually by 12 months. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn s as a guide to determine if you have the most common form of ovarian cancer, approximately 80% of all ovarian cancers are epitheal ovarian cancer which is cancer of the cells on the surface of your ovary. Please keep in mind that CA-125 can be elevated if your menstruating and some other cuases of inflamation.. There are other types of ovarian cancer that are hormone driven and depending which form a person has there will be excess symptoms of that specific hormone.
1083673 tn?1388888638 If this is where I am thinking you are describing, you could have ovarian cysts. Does the pain intensify when you have your period, and or when you are ovulating? Does it stay only on one side or happen on both sides? (Around 14 days after your period starts?) I have suffered with ovarian cysts since I first started my period, and have continued for 20 years - having cysts.
Avatar f tn ll get a cyst on the follicle from which the egg was released during ovulation. I had one on my left ovary in the very beginning of my pregnancy, so the doctor knows that I ovulated from the left side. Not sure the size of mine, but I have heard it can cause some issues if it is really large. If it's "normal" size and from ovulation, it will typically just go away on it's own. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Avatar f tn Any mom's have experiences with ovarian cysts during pregnancy? I haven't been diagnosed with an ultrasound yet but with my signs and symptoms I'm pretty sure I have one. I get stabbing pain in the same spot, near my right ovary a few times each day with certain movements and activities. 5 weeks tomorrow but I had the pain long before I was pregnant. From what I read they're fairly normal and insignificant?
Avatar f tn But there was no sign of cancer. The statistics say 90-95% of ovarian cysts are benign. I know we all worry about being in the other 5% or so. But the CA125 number is good for you. What would be more worrisome is if it was high. CA125 in younger women can be elevated for so many other reasons besides cancer that it ends up scaring people. In your case it's a good reading. Most likely your surgery will go smoothly and your pregnancy will continue without much problem.
Avatar f tn I have ovarian cysts and 2cm isn't that bad, but it also won't give you a false positive. My little ovaries are riddled with cysts, but the two times I've taken a pregnancy test and had them come back positive were because I was pregnant. Congratulations!
1131112 tn?1321040173 How many of you ladies were able to get pregnant with ovarian cysts?? I have several on both and miscarried last Dec. at 11 weeks (I( got pregnant 2 weeks after going off the pill). I may have PCOS but praying I don't. Anyone have any hope to offer?
Avatar f tn When I got pregnant with my 2nd child I had cysts on both my ovaries they went away after about 5 months of being pregnant
Avatar f tn There are many types of cysts, the one I have is very common in pregnancy and is called a Corpus Luteum. It is very common to have ovarian cysts during the first trimester and some even go until after the birth of your child. Most cysts do not cause harm to the baby or pregnancy, and almost 100% of women with an ovarian cyst can go on to having a full term pregnancy and healthy baby.
654396 tn?1237508912 Hi, Just from my own experience--- my Dr. referred to my ovarian cyst as a cyst and tumor interchangeably in the same visit..... which rather frightened me at first. Evidently there is not that much of a distinction in the medical field with this kind of "growth" .. Good luck on your surgery . When is it taking place?
Avatar f tn Sometimes it is to early to see the baby & heartbeat. Are you scheduled for another ultrasound in a week or two? I was in total shock when I found out i was pregnant. I also had an ovarian cyst a couple years before this 1st pregnancy. Hang in there & see what happens at your next u/s! I know it can be stressful & heartbreaking but don't give up hope!
