throwing-up

Avatar n tn However, I have known dogs who ate chocolate with no bad effects to them at all! But best not to take the risk. Your dog will throw up, then a little while later, will feel perfectly OK, and probably hungry again. So you won't be doing him any harm. Milk chocolate is less toxic than dark chocolate, and baking chocolate is the worst of all. But don't induce vomiting if your dog has a history of epilepsy, heart disease, or is generally unwell.
Avatar f tn But making him vomit might be right(if you had called the vet and the vet said that was okay to do) To make a dog vomit use 3% Hydrogen Peroxide Give your dog one teaspoon hydrogen peroxide per 10 pounds (4.5 kg) of body weight. There is clear information here about what to do to make a dog vomit -and when to NOT do it: https://www.wikihow.com/Get-a-Dog-to-Vomit Always take the dog to the vet after it has thrown up, just to be sure all is well and get it checked over.
Avatar f tn Is there anything I can do to make my throat stop bleeding when I throw up?
Avatar n tn com/blogs/fullyvetted/2013/may/how-to-make-a-dog-vomit-30304 The dose of Hydrogen Peroxide is 1 milliliter (ml) of 3% hydrogen peroxide per pound of dog weight, using either the syringe or teaspoon. One teaspoon is approximately five ml. The maximum amount of hydrogen peroxide to be given at any one time is 45 ml, even if a dog weighs over 45 pounds. This is best administered to the back of the dog's mouth using a turkey baster but please beware if it is made of glass!!
237053 tn?1258828426 Just an FYI, if you swallow a hydrogen peroxide solution with water, it will likely just make you vomit profusely. It's a good think for dog owners to know, if your dog ingests something it shouldn't have (Chocolate, poison, chemical, whatever...) have them drink a solution of 1 part water and 1 part peroxide solution and they will instantly vomit it back up...then call your vet of course.
Avatar f tn But for non emergencies yes hydrogen peroxide. Our @#$# border collie had to have ti done twice for eating grapes and avacado.
Avatar f tn I revealed a open wound with a black bump. I have since rinsed with hydrogen peroxide and dabbed with neosporen, but Im scared. This has been th ere for who knows how long. And what is the black bump??? I have no money for the vet and I just don't want my dog to suffer. Can anyone help us?
Avatar f tn I would discontinue the use of the Hydrogen Peroxide that often as it might make it worse. Did you go over the dog thoroughly to check for any other possible bites? If the coat is heavy, you need to get a brush or comb and check diwn in the coat to the skin. A Vet really should evaluate the dog so that does not get infected or form an abcess. If you dog gets that upset going to the Vet, call the Vet and ask for some medication that will calm him down. They may suggest some Acepromazine.
Avatar n tn I am not sure what that medication is and now it has been 5 hrs so I assume it has passed although hopefully you called a vet. For future to make a dog vomit you can give him some hydrogen peroxide that you get at the store then run him around and it will bubble up and make him vomit - Although do not do this for things that could be more harmful coming back up! Hope everything is ok!
456970 tn?1287587447 Use hydrogen peroxide after a bite. The biggest problem is, of course infection. If it does develop infection I'd see a doctor.
Avatar m tn I can't find a mouth wash with hydrogen peroxide in the pharmacies here, can you how can i find it?
Avatar n tn ) When I got home, I tried cleaning my plugged ear with hydrogen peroxide, the 3 percent kind, and followed up with flushing ear with warm water. It didn't help, as a matter of fact, it plugged it up even more. I did read somewhere I might have to repeat this procedure several days, if I have hard wax build up inside my ear canal. Could I have trapped some water somewhere between the eardrum and the wax buildup?
Avatar n tn Hi there. I have a Pomeranian Poodle mix dog. He's a year old and cant be more than twelve pounds. he's pretty small. Well this morning i was eating grapes one fell and he got to it before i did and ate it. We've gone for a walk and he's been gagging occasionally. He hasn't thrown up or anything and he's still eager to play. Right now my mother is out of state and I'm the only one home.
Avatar m tn With a Penrose drain it is critical that no infection can get in, and infected pus can drain out. The dilute Hydrogen peroxide will help to keep the drain and wound clear of bacteria. Or you could use "Vetericyn" spray. This should be done daily. With a drain, the danger is always that bacteria can get in, so flushing it is a good idea. I don't see wht dilute Hydrogen peroxide is so bad (?) Be very careful the drain doesn't 'disappear'.

Avatar n tn My question is what color if any at all do supposed herpes bumps look like when Hydrogen Peroxide is put on them.
Avatar n tn Vaginal irrigations with 30 ml of hydrogen peroxide (3%) were prescribed in the evening for a week. The follow-up was carried out 3 months after the end of treatment.
Avatar f tn If you want to empty him out, however, if it has been less than two hours since he ate them, induce vomiting with hydrogen peroxide 3%. Give 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds of body weight. Walk him around or rub and jiggle his belly to mix up the ingredients and vomiting should occur within 15 to 20 minutes.
Avatar n tn Hi all, yesterday I was playing with my 2 years old child in the park, and suddenly he just fell down on the grass. He put his hand in some red substance, and then put this hand in his mouth. I was very scared, and thinking that this could be blood. I went to my car, and get some hydrogen peroxide 3%. Put this on that red substance and it didn't react to hydrogen peroxide (no bubble, foaming, nothing became white).
