i have severely oily skin one day and super dry the next (so dry my face is peeling) i have done tons of internet searching in regards to my acne and have yet to find something that makes the acne go away... i have 16 acne marks on my cheeks themselves. i have even went to my primary doctor and got some medication that does not work.

m just wondering if the acne will go away if I get it removed? I read some women experience worse acne after getting it removed.

A couple questions actually..first being that I have this reddish black bump on my cheek and it won't go away after over a month. Its painful to squeeze and nothing happened when I tried anyway. it started as a pimple and now will NOT go away..secondly..no matter how I clean my face it always breaks out. Not horribly bad but my chin always has little breakouts..i can't ever get my face clear and with a good complection..please help!

I went many years without having it treated, it will eventually go away...but the sac of the cyst remains and can reform at any time. So if you are OK living with that fact, do nothing....if not, see a Dr and have it cut out.

Doctors will advise against trying to drain boils by yourself because of the possibility for infection and/or further injury. If you do go this route, make sure everything is sterile and that you do not further injury yourself with the needle. Applying an antibiotic cream (like neosporin) afterwards is probably a good idea. Make sure you see a doctor at any sign of infection. But I would give the warm compresses a try first. The fluid usually finds a way to the surface.

The symptoms go away once a person is cyst free. The quesiton is whether this is just another cyst that will go away or whether surgery is the only solution that will work. Do you know what type it is?

Using topicals never worked for me. My pcp put me on spironolactone (generic Aldactone). The medication is a high blood pressure medication that can be used for adult acne in women. It raises the estrogen, to clear up the acne. It works great for me. I take 50 mg twice a day. The dermatologist wanted to put me on spironolactone before. I refused to take it, because I don't have high blood pressure.

So just this past week I was diagnosed with a 6.7 cm cyst with no septations nodularity or vascularity. They did not specifically state whether it was simple but I am assuming because they didn't say otherwise. Anyway they want to see me again in 2 months to make sure it is going away. The past week or so was really painful, and I was on my period so double whammy. Now the period is gone and the pain is mostly gone but I still feel the pressure. Especially when my bladder is full.

I had an acne spot under my chin that took a while to go down, it was under he skin so I couldn't pop it....anyway it eventually subsided but now I'm left with a tiny lump under the skin where the spot used to be...it's difficult to feel most of the time, I have to stretch my neck to feel it and it not visible on the surface at all. I am concerned about it now as its not gone and is still there 8 months or so on from the acne...what could this be?

Olive oil moisturises the skin but doesnt make it go away. If anything I feel that it heals better without olive oil it is almost gone now I will see if it comes back.

hey i wanted to know by the way i describe these bumps left on my nose from acne do u think its possibly cyst ? i hope not .. these bumps when i squeeze my nose do have whiteheads or something in them . also do you think the adult acnomel cream a good cream to try for my condition ? i hoping to get to a derm soon but im still a minor so its up to my guardians if i go or not .

saw my doctor the following week, took another look and no changes. told me it looks like its still yeast, and can linger sometimes and will go away in time,, said he has seen it last more than a year in some cases. this left me worried, as i couldnt understand how if it is indeed a yeast infection, it should be simple to cure. he advised to use no creams for a while and see how that goes. over the next couple months no changes.
