Avatar n tn I'm confused about everything I've been hearing about tramadol (Ultram). I understand that it should be used with caution (or not used at all) amongst abuse-prone individuals, but the other info I've seen seems contradictive. I've seen some treatment centers advertise that they use tramadol to help with opiate withdrawal, yet I've also read that taking tramadol during opiate withdrawal can INCREASE withdrawal symptoms. Can someone set me straight on this? Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn My eyes blureed before Lyrica. The headaches came after Lyrica. My dizziness left with Lyrica. The common denominator here is that I was taking Neurontin before changing to Lyrica. I found that when I took Nerontin regularly I put on weight, but the pain and flu like symptoms decreased enough to notice the difference.
Avatar f tn We're all lab rats! Yep, cymbalta and lyrica together worked great for me, other than the Lyrica side effect of weight gain, coupled with sudden onset hypertension- I had to come off of it :( But it seriously reduced my pain by like 80%. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I've been off Darvocet for 8 days now (W/D are done) and I am down to 2 Tramadol a day (from 8 last Tuesday) and as I've tapered my pain is pretty bad. Today my doctor gave me Lyrica and says it's in no way addicting. But I heard the same thing when I was prescribed Tramadol. I don't see info about it here so I'm thinking it's OK, but would like to hear from anyone who has taken this and can tell me if it works and if there's any risk. He's suggesting Lyrica and/or an epidural.
Avatar n tn I've alreasy gone the road of treatment using meds, specifically for my fibromyalgia pains such as xanor + lyrica (I'm allergic to this, developed recurrent mouth sores), tofranil + tramadol (gave me pounding on chest, nape and scalp plus, tremors of head though not observable by a third person, inability to sleep for 5 days except for 10 minute naps), cymbalta + tramadol + clonazepam (all made me sleep 18-20 hrs aday but successfully relieved me of pain for 2 1/2 months until my body just re
149087 tn?1258457420 So with that being said and from my experiences with Somas vs Baclophen....there is ABSOLUTELY NO comparison, NO side effects, NO withdraws, NO hallucinations......NOTHING! However I am aware EVERYONE reacts differently to the same medication another person may be taking the exact same medication, dosage, the same amount per day, but my friend, my mother, brother, as.well as myself, have all taken this medication (some currently still do) and have NEVER had ONE SINGLE withdrawal, side effects.
Avatar n tn The reason I'm switching to Klonipin is that I feel that Xanax XR is not working well anymore for me. I take Effexor XR for depression and anxiety, and I also take Lyrica for headaches and anxiety as well. So, you can see, I'm a mess as far as anxiety issues go! Can you shed some light on Xanax XR vs plain old Xanax? Thanks so much!

Avatar f tn I never did see any difference from using it vs Cymbalta. I had tried it since I did not really notice anything while using Cymbalta. I could up the dose I guess however, the cost of all the meds I take are just to great to go higher. As is I split the dose to make it last longer. No side affects though. I swear by Tramadol 200 slow release and Lyrica. Without those two I would be a complete mess.
2107676 tn?1388977459 Your explanation of pregabalin vs. name brand Lyrica makes perfect sense, Pat, from what I've read. Seems as if Pfizer's patent is pretty much "locked in" until late 2018 which means only the ingredient "pregabalin" can be generically produced....NOT a generic likeness of the EXACT same drug. This may interest you: 'Is Pregabalin a Generic Lyrica?" "No, it isn't. Pregabalin is the active ingredient in Lyrica, not a generic version of the drug.
1200968 tn?1291694619 Im just going on Day 3 of no tramadol. I had been taking 300-400mg. a day for about a year for chronic back pain. Just decided Im tired of the cycle. My main concern now is sleep..which I am not getting. The leg twitching is bad,,get maybe 1 to 2 hours a night if that. Wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to get sleep. I am prescribed xanax..but no longer have any..Any suggestions would be great..
