lyrica

1291268 tn?1274810922 DON'T DO IT. I am a Lyrica survivor. There are others on the Lyrica Survivors page on Facebook. I'll send you a message with a link to check out as well.
237152 tn?1206651036 My pain doc says neurontin is a much safer drug than lyrica and wants me to stick to the neurontin.....lyrica does have a euphoria associted with it with use for some....especially at first....
Avatar f tn You could start to reduce the lyrica but start tapering the tramadol properly and then tapering the lyrica (I believe lyrica may take a bit more time and discomfort than the trams but that's just my personal opinion). How much do you take how often and since how long?
216046 tn?1193943404 My question is, has anyone heard of lyrica causing withdrawal symptoms when taken w/methadone? I was given Tramadol(Ultram) w/ methadone and thought I was going to die with the interaction it caused!!!
Avatar f tn Hello marycarmal! Thanks for your comment! And yes I'm afraid for our youth as well. And yes, I'm looking for a new ob/gyn and pcp! I agree, how can a doctor that put you on the med be so uncaring about you and your unborn child! He wanted to put me on the Lyrica when I first started seeing him but, I didn't have any insurance at the time, and tramadol was suppose to be the "safe" and the non addictive alternative to the opiates, back then. And the ob/ gyn that I seen.....
539209 tn?1225972263 Probably the increase in the Lyrica dose you received is what is doing this to you. Also, the Tramadol can increase the effects of Lyrica. Could be you'll get used to the changes in your medicines after a few weeks, but you'll have to talk with your prescribing physician about all this. In the meantime, I think you could try this. When you work, you can take less Lyrica, and when you get home, you can take more Lyrica. That might clear your head when at work.
Avatar f tn I never did see any difference from using it vs Cymbalta. I had tried it since I did not really notice anything while using Cymbalta. I could up the dose I guess however, the cost of all the meds I take are just to great to go higher. As is I split the dose to make it last longer. No side affects though. I swear by Tramadol 200 slow release and Lyrica. Without those two I would be a complete mess.
Avatar f tn Ketoprofen and tramadol should help with the sharp pain, but there is a drug called Lyrica which is used to treat nerve pain. You can discuss this option with your doctor.
1069827 tn?1296650628 It made me feel really bad, like I was drunk. One side of my head felt heavier than the other.I have been taking Tramadol for a while now and it seems to help some. But when I run out I feel 10 times worse.Like with drawl symptoms.I know Tramadol isnt a narcotic ,but it seems like one.Is there anything else I could ask my doctor about, that will help with out with drawls or drunkness?
1378325 tn?1285346625 Have you tried the fibro meds like Lyrica, Cymbalta or Savella? I have had a lot of relief from Lyrica and did not sleep well until I started it. D-Ribose (only when I remember to take it) really helps. An excellent multi-vitamin, vitamin D, C0Q10, selenium and fish oil may also help. Not sure what pain relievers you have tried but do be aware that Tramadol doesn't work for everyone. It does nothing for me. I take ibuprofen and Tylenol 3's as needed. I hope you find some relief.
Avatar m tn Mainly in my back, legs and feet. It all migrates and is generally awful. I was given Tramadol to help with the pain. I thought great, at last some relief. I was very dissapointed to find out that it realy didn't give me the relief I hoped for. So I did what I would imagine was the right thing to do, I stopped taking them altogether. MY GOD!!!.Why wasn't I told of what would happen. I am on day three of going cold turkey and its hell.
1986130 tn?1326767295 this is my 3rd day off tramadol and im feelin alittle better but when do i get strenght back? i have no energy and what is good for back pain? i have been takin lyrica, is that ok for the withdrawls?
Avatar m tn Im wondering if anyone knows if its similar to tramadol at all, Im hoping not, but anyone who has any helpful info please let me know. I cant start back on opiates again for the pain and Ive heard too many bad stories about tramadol to even consider it as an alternative. Also if anyone knows of anything that helps nerve pain, Im open for any suggestions. Hope everyone is well, thanks.
Avatar f tn and im prescribed .5 klonopin 3 times a day for anxiety, and the lyrica for anxiety and the lyrica does help with the pain, it numbs it without the "high" feeling...i know everyones withdrawels are different, i think i can handle the physical part, its the mental part im more afraid of i think, like is it gonna make me feel dizzy, weird headed, anything like that? i dont know, ive never had to wd...
Avatar n tn t know anything about Sub, except it is suppose to be three times as strong as Tramadol. And since you are on Tramadol now, I say stay on that and taper off that. Why keep bouncing back and forth from one to the other? It will only bring you pain and discomfort.
Avatar f tn The development of a potentially life-threatening serotonin syndrome may occur with the use of tramadol products, including tramadol hydrochloride, particularly with concomitant use of serotonergic drugs such as SSRIs, SNRIs, TCAs, MAOIs, and triptans, with drugs which impair metabolism of serotonin (including MAOIs), and with drugs which impair metabolism of tramadol (CYP2D6 and CYP3A4 inhibitors). This may occur within the recommended dose (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY, Pharmacokinetics ).
403399 tn?1201833095 The only reason why Tramadol (Ultracet, Ultram, etc.) is not considered a narcotic is because at the moment it is unscheduled in the USA and pretty much everywhere else. It is fairly new being researched and first put on the market in the 90's.
Avatar f tn i am 24 and have just found out that i am showing signs of arthritis in my lower back and my doc 1st perscribed me a med that had actually caused me to nearly pass out while walking next to the street with my 2 year old so istoped taking that one then next she put me on tramadol whiched was working for a while then it suddenly made me real constipated but i was able to deal with that...
451366 tn?1211304932 Lyrica has been used for depression according to items I have read. But, it also says that it causes anxiety attacks, panic attacks and suicidal thoughts. If that's not related to depression, what is? I've been to other forums, but I was wondering if anyone here had anything else to offer.
Avatar n tn Vicodin is stronger then Tramadol. I think if you get put on tramadol you will be in alot more pain. My father inlaw takes it and it does nothing for him. I took it and it did nothing for me. Vicodin on the other hand did help my pain alittle. I would try to talk him into not doing it, ask him what is the main reason for changing your meds. I hate to say it but if you get them changed like that you will be in alot more pain. This is just my option. Tramadol did nothing for me.
