lyrica prescribing information

The doctor mentioned the neurotin before the lyrica. I said I wanted to try lyrica because a friend swears by it. I do have some eye pain. It is different than the ones I have before a migraine. Is anyone sensitive to lip glosses, etc.? I had something weird happen last night that I am not sure if it ties in to this. I used lip gloss and it tasted like soap. I started coughing some and my eyes teared up and my nose got stuffy.

Has anybody else expirence hair loss with Lydrica?She also takes Cymbalta 60mg,lyrica 75mg, Nexuim 40mg, and Tramabol 50mg. What do you all suggest she get tested for ?

Hello I am sorry to hear your daughter is have so many problems with her new med and pain. I have never taken what she is on. I take Lyrica. When I first started it only took a day or two for my little side effects to stop. Everyone is different so they may start to clear up soon or she may not be able to take this med. She should talk to her doctor and see what they say. That would be the best thing to do. Have her get in to contact with them ASAP She may be having a reaction!!!

Hi and welcome to MedHelp. I also take percocet along with neurontin (gabapentin). The gabapentin is very similar to lyrica. I drink coffee 4-5 days per week and I haven't encountered any issues and I have been on percocet for almost a year and gabapentin for almost 2 years. I don't think there are any severe reactions when coffee is mixed with percocet or lyrica or both.

I am 36 years old and have no problem getting an errection, i am on lyrica 100mg 3times a day. Sex life is great, the problem about a year ago i noticed that it was hard to have an orgasm i still could achieve one though. Now when i have sex i have no problem getting hard and get right at the point of orgasm the it fades off. I just cannot seem to orgasm no matter how long I have sex.

com, you can put in tegretol then neurontin then lyrica and look at the prescribing info for all three medicines to see if the side effects you are experiencing on tegretol are also listed as a side effect of either neurontin or lyrica. If it is not, then discussing a possible switch to neurontin or lyrica with your doctor might be worthwhile.

Did your doctor who prescribed you Lyrica and Amitriptyline tell you the implications or reasons why he/she was prescribing it to you? Lyrica is prescribed for seizures, Fibromyalgia, diabetic neuropathy, or other neuropathy associated diseases. Amitriptyline is in the class of antidepressants which can be used for neuropathic pain as well.

Hi ! I just posted information on Lyrica in our Health Pages just yesterday. I agree... physicians need to come around when it comes to these syndromes. It is ridiculous that my friend, who works in the medical field, works with a physician who still doesn't believe CFS is even real ! That debate has been resolved AGES ago. Sheesh ! And if you read the history of CFS... it has been around for a very long time.

alot of doctor are prescribing anti depressant to treat fibro, don't know why but have take cymbalta, didnt help me, lyrica did but suffered from the side effects of swollen hands and feet and excessive weight gain. You can get addicted to lyrica, it is a controlled substance. but if they work for you and take away the pain and you know you are gonna have to take them the rest of your life, who care.

I'm about to try to stop taking Lyrica. I've been taking a VERY high dosage the past couple of weeks or so (1600mg a day at the minimum) and just a little lower dosage before that. I know that there will be withdrawal symptoms and was wondering if there was anything that my doctor could give me that will help me through it. I've an addictive personality. Been addicted to everything I've taken that gives me any small measure of euphoria or lesser anxiety...

Does anyone know if this new drug can be taken with Lyrica. I did take Cymbalta with my 400 mgs. of lyrica...it wasn't for me made me blah...didn't go to #2 for 2 weeks, didn't care about anything...didn't laugh, didn't joke...just blah..took my spirit. So someone said its in the lines of Cymbalta....

There is not a sure cause as to why Fibro exists but efforts are being made on the parts of docs who believe in this syndrome and for the want of helping there patients. Narcotic pain meds are by far the most widely used form of treating Fibro pain and work extremely well for most.

May I ask if Lyrica can cause weight LOSS through making one 'feel' so good they can conquer all and set out to do just that. Over time, losing weight through going like a bee all day long. Feeling of elation I guess I would call it. Can Lyrica cause enlarged spleen and does enlarged spleen bulge when eating. I was put on Lyrica for Neuropathies, coincidentally, when all my gastric issues began.

They are both good medications but the benefit of Lyrica is that although the side-effects of the drugs are the same, the Lyrica side effects are in general 1/3 to 1/2 of the Neurontin, which is the main prescribing point of this medication. I hope that this information helps.

I am wondering what the high end dose of Lyrica is. I am on 200mg 2x a day. I think that is pretty high but my shocks in my feet are hurting more and more and I am weighing the idea of side effects vs pain. I am going to do other things first like remember to take my B12, I was just curious how close I am to the max dose. I went up to 2700 mg a day on neurontnin before my neuro changed me.

Is anyone taking Lyrica for their Fibro and if so is it helping and what doseage are you taking? I am medicine sensitive so I was started last Sept. on 25mg and have just now made it up to 225mg.

Hi...Gabapentin is not a generic for Lyrica, but Neurontin...Lyrica is used to treat Fibromyalgia....and many times chiari is mis-dx'd as Fibro...the symptoms for chiari r similar to many diff conditions which is y getting a dx can be diff and many drs r more familiar with the other conditions then they r with chiari, so they feel it can not be chiari. http://www.google.com/url?url=http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.

Just looking for anymore information or advise about withdraws from Fioricet / I have been taking this medication from years from Migrain headaches, it's seemed the longer I was on it the less it helped so I would increase my doses because I could not get rid of my headaches the other day I just stopped using it because it was like just this non stop headache.
