Lyrica and weed

Common Questions and Answers about Lyrica and weed

Avatar m tn I just don't want to be taken lyrica and then when the opiate withdrawals are better/gone and I decide to quit taking the lyrica the opiate withdrawals come back and it's like opiate withdrawals all over again (like day 1). I know lyrica isn't a narcotic and isn't a big habit former unless it's really abused, but I just want to know that lyrica and hydrocodien have none of the same ingredients or substances and it won't be like me still taking the hydrocodien??
1032104 tn?1259671903 Then early this week I did yard work in front (racking grass, out of berm, mowing, edging and weed wacking). Legs started to tremble at night and tighten up. Last night it was so bad I woke and couldn't go back to sleep. The day prior and did a more intense work out (30 minutes on orbital). Pain and discomfort is greatest in calves and quads.
Avatar f tn Just google ,Lyrica w/d or When does Lyrica w/d end and you will find a bunch of forum and ppl going through hell trying to get off it! Most can't handle it! Im soo trying to be strong and deal with it! I have chronic pain already, so Im used to being in constant pain!
Avatar n tn Hello, I very much need an answer because my doctor will not give me a straight answer. I'm currently on Lamictal (800mg a day) and Zonegran (200mg a day) and I'm a college student so I tend to drink. I've never had a seizure while consuming alcohol but im terrified when doing so. So heres my question... When I drink (beer) with my meds, will it bring on a seizure? or just enhance the side effects? Please I very much need to know asap! Maybe even stories would helpl too.

Avatar m tn for the last 6 years they have had me taking everything from tramadol, xanax, morphine, diladud, oxycontin, oxcycodone, codeine, oxcycodone ir, vicodin, norco, soma, flexeril, meloxicam, mobic, on top of that I used to be an alcoholic, and use illegal drugs cocaine mostly weed, and whatever else to stop the pain from the total disc replacement surgery in my back. Here is the ****** up part, I can't get off them even if I wanted to, I would be in chronic pain and I am only 37 years old.
Avatar n tn Having been in medicine for two and a half decades, I have seen some amazing coincidences. While you and your doctors weed out the possible alternatives (and with the spinal lesions, the number of possibilities has fallen tremendously) do not exclude MS just because it seems too weird. You could also argue that getting any neurological disease that close to when your fiance did would be mind-boggling.
Avatar f tn Yes I was using weed for pain and it made ME feel very tense and much much worse. I quit smoking cigs and using weed about 6wks ago and the pain levels are better. Just a different opinion, everyone is different. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn But in that time i also stopped for moths or week's frequently, and it was the frequency of drinking that bothered me as i rarely drank. And the other drugs? It was over 30 yaer's ago and s was the Hospital Heroin iv. And weed i smoked after Doctors sugested it as pain relief and some sleep. I never smoked it because i went looking for it but i enjoyed it when i did. And if it ran out i wasn't bothered but if i had it i smoked it until it was gone.
Avatar n tn Right now, I am taking Lyrica and it helps to keep my feet and hands from falling asleep and going numb, and a little pain, but it does not help to make me feel "normal" and happy with life. I am not clinically depressed, or else the anti-depressants would make me feel better.
Avatar m tn Hey ppl i joined this site to get some advice on kicking this nightmare addiction to opiates. My gf and I are on day one and my father for just happend to give me Lyrica today my withdrawls have kicked in and the sweats and muscle cramping are brutal but the Lyrica is amazingly eliminating my withdrawls and im high as fk feels kinda strange but no withdrawls now no pain.
Avatar m tn Other doctors checked x-rays showed my spine was crooked to the left but nothing broken and not alarming enough to worry.Front chest pressure went away and upper left back preesure and pain started.Chiro put his finger on my c-7 rear outter rib and pain flared.Trapezius muscle was hard as a rock and now the tension went left side back, all neck hard as a rock and tingling and pressure lower jaw and sometimes upper when its really bad(tingly teeth).
Avatar n tn Elavil, Tegretol, Klonopin, baclofen, Neurontin, Lyrica, and Cymbalta come to mind, but there are many others. It may take substantial trial and error to find something that works, and it may be necessary to cycle through various meds to ward off the tendenccy of drugs to lose effectiveness over time, but don't give up. Insist that your doctor treat your pain as the very real problem that it is, and do not be afraid to ask for narcotics if they help with the pain.
Avatar f tn ) I'm with you with the booze and weed for help. I do not know what I would have done without the weed and Xanax. It's a great combo.... And relieves RLS in my opinion. Someone please come shoot my husband. He's literally taking all the little "DO NOT EAT" packages out of my aminos and Thomas Recipe stuff for an "experiment." I'm afraid he's going to blow up the effing house. Uhhhh... Ronny? I heart your music. I am in love. You sound like J.T.
Avatar f tn Even eat weed brownies..and I am 25 years sober. No I don't know how to make them or where to find the weed... So it's just a thought. Good Luck and know you are in my Prayers every day. Here's your daily Hugs I hope that breeze blowing by helps you to remember to grab them and hold them close to your heart. {{{{{{{~!~))))))) DJ PS: Any Good Recipes out there for a Very Special Brownie !!!!!
Avatar f tn Ever since then i sometimes (about once every few months) experience this odd sensation and it can become a bit worrying and strange. The whole room seems to have a new feeling to it- everything im doing whether it be walking or typing seems to intensify and become louder yet the actions are very exaggerated and almost speed up (only perceived this way). I find it very difficult to explain fully but i'm worried it's some early signs of a neurological condition or something?
Avatar n tn I also do not like pills, Lyrica got rid of some of the stabbing but made me feel drunk and clumsy and stupid all the time, and neurontin wasnt much better. The pains got worse when something tragic in my life happened and worse still when i did no physical activity at all. I try to stay positive and have good hobbies which amuse myself, and I try to stay active but I do find if i work my body too much I'm sore for days.
Avatar n tn Anyway, I can't go C/T cause I have a job and kids to take care of, so I will try tapering off and see how that goes. I just needed a little more info and support to get me going. I was just worried that I would suffer physical damage going C/T or should I just tough it out and get it over with. Any suggestions on witch way to go?
Avatar f tn blood pressure should be considered for both ginsing and gurana. sme people say that horny goat weed works i took it once and it seemed to but im not sure if it was just a placebo effect, again blood pressure and heart health should be considered with these type of herbs. sometimes to counter act a medication's sexual side effects by perscribing an anti depressant like welbutrin but im not really sure the benifits out way the risks accosiated with medications of this type..
5549258 tn?1449086682 and Kratom....and Weed....and Lyrica...and your opiate receptors haven't even had a full 24 hrs yet to begin healing. Your central nervous system doesn't know what to I hope you'll stick with the basics (aleve, imodium, protein foods nutritional supplements) and allow your opiate receptors to begin to heal. Each of those mind altering chemicals carry their own w/drawal symptoms...
Avatar n tn My ID there is aurora2779 if you ever want to talk to me just drop me a line and I will help you as much as I can. The people there are great and they understand what you are going through. BTW... What meds are you currently taking for the pain? Does the pain feel like you have the flu, that type of aching,or do you have specific spots on your body which hurt more than others? It feels like muscle cramping and knots, and hurts like hell especially when pressed or touched or both?
Avatar f tn it hurts so bad when i wear any shoe ,if i do it has to be a sandal.even in the winter i have to wear this kind of shoe.
Avatar n tn I used weed my first week of w/d (2 days only since i dont like weed) and low and behold been clean ever since without even so much a craving or slip. If you get hooked on weed, you are most likley hooked on something as simple as caffenine. Its a person to person thing.
Avatar n tn I have no desire to become addictive to meds! Oh - I have been on Lyrica - it just made me fat and did nothing for the pain. You do get some depression after a long time of being in pain - don't be afraid if someone tells you to take a mild and cost-effective anti-depressant (do not believe all the hype of the newest, exensive drugs, some old tried and true ones work just as well and are a good place to start).
5549258 tn?1449086682 Im off of the oxys, today went off of the kratom and i have aleve, lyrica, imodium. and my t.v ;) Ive lost so much in life i do not want to loose my condo..
Avatar f tn I managed to get off them by swapping to a medication called Lyrica, i have also read stories of people having great success while taking Lyrica and its older weaker version Gabapentin, these drugs where originally designed to help suffers of seizures but have been found to be very helpful for many other things.
Avatar n tn I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. There was a period of time about 3 and a half years ago that the symptoms lifted for about 4 months and then it returned full force.
Avatar m tn I first though that the pain in my feet was diabetic nerve pain and was prescribed lyrical, gabapetien, cymbalta and ambiliy. When taking my meds correctly I was able to function with out much pain. Then about a year ago I suddenly as if overnight had shooting pain in the base of my spin. I went to the ER and xrays showed a old bad bone break that healed poorly.
Avatar n tn It started with percocet after a nasty surgery and then just happened to have a connection to Oxys and from there it progressed to whatever I could find to keep from getting sick. Well I quit for awhile, and just stuck to booze and weed, which I was always able to maintain myself with. I never went on drinking binges. And honestly, I never thought weed should be in the same category as other drugs, despite was others might say.
Avatar m tn I'm going from taking about 15 - 20 Lorcets , drinking HEAVILY, smoking weed, and the occasional upper and anti anxiety/depressant. I did this for about 2 years and finally got fed up with it So I feel like I've gone a long way from how I used to be. I don't even think about getting messed up any more, only about the future and how I can better my life. I'm currently in nursing school but have not gotten far enough to know much about this subject.
