Common Questions and Answers about Lyrica and vitamins

lyrica

Avatar n tn Usually with Lyrica you are better off using a sensible diet and exercise would be more beneficial. Diet pills do not work for anyone in my book. If anything try Alli, it may be your best bet. If not Weight Watchers would be a good idea.
Avatar f tn Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor. I would consult with your pharmacist as they are the expert in how medications react with one another. I would be cautious until I discuss this with him/her. Best of luck to you. I hope your pain will be eased soon. Please let us know how you are doing.

Avatar f tn m going to try and combat some of my symptoms using Olive Leaf Extract and various other herbs and vitamins. I refuse to accept the sentence of being forced to take prescription meds for the rest of my life! Please keep us posted with how you are doing!
Avatar f tn You could start to reduce the lyrica but start tapering the tramadol properly and then tapering the lyrica (I believe lyrica may take a bit more time and discomfort than the trams but that's just my personal opinion). How much do you take how often and since how long?

Avatar m tn Sorry to ramble on, but the answer for your question is to give yourself a couple more weeks, and the depression will go away. Also take some vitamins and B complex vitamins and walk a little bit each day if you can. You take care and keep us all posted.

I was put on Lyrica for Neuropathies, coincidentally, when all my gastric issues began. Bowel change, Mucous, fast heart rate when eating causing me to fall asleep suddenly, and lately a bulge in my left side, WAY worse when eating. See my post under Digestive Disorders and Gastroenterology.

Avatar m tn Well its day 26 and I still have 12 Suboxone left and 4 Lyrica. I did good on one and poorly on the other.I am rather proud of myself and I read your post and experiences on ways to taper since my doctor doesn't care.My question is which should I try hardest to kick 1st? I see my doctor in 2 days and wonder what my next plan is and I am willing to do everything to beat this once and for all. I write down information, daily vitamins to take, I joined a gym.
Avatar f tn I had been on prescription medication for about 2 years, lyrica. I had never tried vitamins before because I thought the prescription stuff would be stronger and work better. My friend gave me a bottle of a vitamin supplement called neuroplenish about a month ago. At first I used it with my prescription meds but after about 3 weeks I stopped taking the prescription meds and I felt fine. The prescription meds were a little cheaper, but the side effects just were not worth it.
Avatar f tn ve heard both good and bad reports about those taking Lyrica. The results would depend upon your body and dosage. Lyrica has numerous side-effects (there is an article in our Health Pages regarding this). It can make one feel dizzy and off balance and also causes cognitive problems. I was taking it with good pain results, but not enough to offset the way it made me feel, so I discontinued it. If it isn't helping your pain at all it may not be beneficial for you to continue taking it.
Avatar m tn This was an excellent choice, as it helps with my anxiety, I use less clonazepam and I feel less drowsy. Lyrica did give me blurred vision and extra paranoia at the start, and that was indeed awful for the first couple weeks as I upped my dosage! After the initial troubles, I found that it really was better than gabapentin for me now. I have not gained weight, but remain the same weight I call my meds weight. I just try to remain active and not pig out.
7944214 tn?1496616726 My feet sting and burn so much. My Dr. has me on Lyrica 75 mg twice a day and my concentration is off, my memory is not working and my feet still sting. I also take metformin 500 mg twice a day and irbesartan 300 mg and to sleep I take an Ambien.
Avatar f tn You need to eat even though I know your appetite is completely gone. I took spoons of coconut oil for fat to absorb vitamins and drank ensure and bananas. Sleep is probably not an option either because I was terrified to sleep because of the thoughts in my head. The good news is for me it turned off like a switch one day and everything became normal again.

Avatar m tn My Dr was going to prescribe me lyrica for shingles pain but I was hesitant and refused at the time. I did some research on it when I got home and actually found that lyrica is approved in eroupe for anxiety. I also read reviews of people taking it for other things and found that it helped with their anxiety. Glad to know it is working for you. What dosage are you on?Where your prescribed the lyrcia for anxiety or something else? Hope it continues to help you.
394774 tn?1235070839 You can get addicted to lyrica, it is a controlled substance. but if they work for you and take away the pain and you know you are gonna have to take them the rest of your life, who care.
Avatar f tn I had been on it for 5 years and had increased to maximum dose without relief. They withdrew the Lyrica and gave me 60mg Amiltriptaline and I am now pretty much nerve pain free in my stump. Morphine I was taking because the pain was so bad but once the Amiltriptaline started there was not a need for it. Thank you so much for answering my post.
886844 tn?1241634047 I looked it up and it seems to have some good vitamins and minerals included. I'm so glad to hear it is helping you. Don't forget to mention it to your pysician, just to insure that nothing will conflict with the other medications you are taking. I take a daily supplement, vitamin B-12, C, D and recently began with silver colloid. I'm waiting to see the results for this in a few weeks and will update then. Good luck and thank you for sharing this with us.
Avatar n tn I am in the same position with my husband. He is taking Lyrica and we would like to try having our first child. I know this was two years ago, but did your husband end up going off the Lyrica before you conceived?
483733 tn?1326798446 I am taking 300 mg of Lyrica a day. I am having heavy swelling in my hands, feet and ankles and doctor put me on Lasix. It is helping a bit but still uncomfortable and pain. I've put a lot of weight on and am also having bad memory problems (can't find my words) and blurry vision. Is there anything that can be done that doesn't require me to get off of Lyrica? it really helps my pain. If I have to get off of it what is the best way to do so?
