Avatar f tn I had a Maligram two years ago they hit a nerve, the pain ran down the right hip all the way down the right leg and into my r foot, it thru me over the table, I am on Lyrica, gabapentin and Oxycodone, my back surgeon wants me to take Norco, but the primary has me on Oxy, 5/325 Norco 10/325, I want to wean myself off the oxy, so if I took oxycodone one day and Norco the next, would there be a reaction?
Avatar m tn t refill my prescription for 10 more days, and I ran out the day before yesterday. He put me on Lyrica for ongoing pain, plus i have Tramadol and Neurontin, but I stopped those within a week of starting them because it made me feel really depressed and nauseated. I was down to 1 Norco a day for the last 4 days, but I want to know how long the symptoms will last? The Lyrica takes a while to kick in, I'm told, and I'm in considerable pain.
Avatar f tn I have used Lyrica and neurontin in the past for the withdraw symptoms and it worked really well but everyone is different and like atthebeach stated you can experience withdraw symptoms from it,
986593 tn?1283532211 Went from 360 oxy and 90 norco a day along with robaxin and elavil. Am now only taking 1/2 norco in morning and 1/2 norco at night after my failed detox last month. My doc perscribed me LYRICAL to help with my restless legs during detox and to help me try to get some sleep. Both were the major factors why I failed my detox. I have noticed a huge difference in my life in just the past month that I have reduced my drugs. Way more energy and active and not even so moody anymore.
Avatar f tn I did well with all but lyrica, cymbalta and MS Contin . So I managed to get to 15 mg of MS Contin with 4 norco per day and the pain was tolerable. I also use ice at least eight hours per day on my spine. My prescription was for 120 of the norco which I filled every few months. As I went down on the opana and transitioned to the MS Contin I felt my pain was better. Unfortunately this was short lived so I begain taking the MS Contin at 8:00 am and 8:00 pm with 4 norco spread out evenly.
Avatar f tn I was put on lyrica to help with my chronic facial pain and I am also taking Norco for pain and have been for some time. When the Lyrica was added I noticed that I did not need as much Norco nor did I crave it anymore. In fact there are times that I cut it out for days and with the lyrica I have no withdrawals at all. I then found out from other blogs about lyrica that it does take withdrawals away from people that have been on very high doses of heavy opiates of different kinds.
630234 tn?1222279370 Ughhh, I feel like I am going out of my mind, last October I got into a really really really bad car accident, I have been on Lyrica, Norco, Oxycontin, Ativan, Xanax, Ambien, and also had Gastric Bypass surgery in september of 06' .... so besides all the supplemental vitamins and anxiety/depression from that... my doctors are cutting me from everything but my Ambien which I use to sleep.. I suffer from severe anxiety and have 5 pills of Norco left.
Avatar m tn Im glad u are feeling better. My pain dr put me on methadone for 1 month started and 5 mg 3 3x a day and went down by 1 pill a week. Worked great for me now my reg dr wasnt happy with that way and she sent me to a sub dr, she thought I needed something long term. The sub psych didnt agree with my reg dr and told me to stay on the methadone I was doing very well on that, the funny part about the whole thing is the sub dr couldnt understand why I wanted to get off narcotics to begin with.

1794671 tn?1338795391 My dr was not in agreeance, she throught I should stay on the morphine because of withdrawals but I convinced her that if they got to any point where I was uncomfortable I would take it but I was unable to persevere and just take my norco. Well, My pain got out of control and I was taking 12 norco a day, pretty much the MAX dose for tylenol and since I have been on it for 4 years I didnt suffer any hepatotoxicity.
5333788 tn?1366569346 I have since gone to 300mg at bedtime. I take norco 10/325 during the day. The depression has lifted and my pain is manageable. Hope this helps.
4975205 tn?1361974347 Yes, Lyrica can cause vision problems, bruising and bleeding in the eyes. Norco which is a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone is usually a strong pain relief medication. If this gives you relief for only three hours then, you need to talk to your doctor regarding this. There are other opioid alternatives to choose from. Also, sometimes combining an opioid with another group of drugs (with the drugs taken at different timings) helps give better pain relief.
Avatar f tn ve never taken Lyrica but I have taken Neurontin and their similar and everybody has a problem with weight gain, its not just you. Tell that Doctor you need help, if he won't help you, find another one.
Avatar m tn 150 mg at night, and it has really helped alot with the pain. Im also on norco for my back / neck pain, but the lyrica has been a great help to me. However it is expensive if you don't have insurance. Good luck to you all who suffer from this. I know quite a bit about neuropathy if I can help any one.
Avatar f tn I think you will notice a big improvement with it. I really liked the Lyrica and wish I could have stayed on it. I am taking gaba now and it does help but not like the Lyrica did. Give it a chance. Many people have found relief using it. Like I said before if you ever have to go off it, taper very slowly. I also found that if I took opiates with the Lyrica, I didn't feel well. Once I stopped the opiates, the Lyrica seemed to kick in and I felt so good.
Avatar n tn I am diabetic and have been prescribed Lyrica for nerve pain. I am hearing contradictory opinions about the safety of Lyrica in a recovering addict. I would rather live with the pain than relapse. Has anyone had any experience with this?
16785591 tn?1451596681 since last Thursday I have been on 50 MCG and it is definitely not good. I did the preceding months on 62 which requires twice the monthly co-pay of $85. I have bragged here that I was proud of taking only two Norco a day. two days ago it was one at 10 PM and the second midmorning. But my six-year long string of pain at night when I am just lying there and not moving and not getting exercise is now back with a vengeance.
747443 tn?1233024111 celebrex along with lyrica 150 mg. twice daily. Taken this for one month and no relief.
Avatar m tn m taking is lyrica b-12 vitamin-c and veggie pills.. I eat chicken broth and grapes bananas and apples and progressive soup and recently tuna on cracker... I drink nothing but water Gatorade and this V8 fusion juice. Days 6 and 7 and 8 were horrible no sleep at all so that why I took a triazolam (I was about to blow my brains out if I went 4 days without sleep) though I don't have any anymore so I won't be taking it again back to just the lyrica and lyrica only..
Avatar f tn ve heard both good and bad reports about those taking Lyrica. The results would depend upon your body and dosage. Lyrica has numerous side-effects (there is an article in our Health Pages regarding this). It can make one feel dizzy and off balance and also causes cognitive problems. I was taking it with good pain results, but not enough to offset the way it made me feel, so I discontinued it. If it isn't helping your pain at all it may not be beneficial for you to continue taking it.
Avatar f tn Not really much of a question here. Just wanted to tell every one thanks for all the wonderful posts and ideas on how WD's would be and tapering schedules. I have chronic pain from Fibromyalgia. I am prescribed 200 Norco a month. Had a few moments of clarity this past week. I took 20 10/325mg pills in one day. Who does that? So yesterday I only took 12 10/325 and experienced some WD symptoms. Stomach stuff and the sweats. Ugh. I think from here I have a good taper schedule.
446097 tn?1223694666 I am at the end of day 4 CT from 5 to 10 10mg Norco a day and I am feeling HORRIBLE. I am reading all of these horrible things about Tramadol and wondering if I am prolonging the WD or will it just help to get me through? YES, I have been here b4 but never made it 4 days CT. The GOOD news is that I have no pills in the house and no refills. That is a first for me in 5 years!
237152 tn?1206651036 I have been researching Topamax and all I can find is info. about seizures and migraines. Why would he give me this, and is it addictive? Anyone have any knowledge?
Avatar f tn I have plenty of Norco to take 20 a day if I need to and start to taper down and just take to the bed with Gabapentin, Lyrica, Clonazepam etc. Has anyone else experienced the dramatic difference between Norco and Oxy? I feel the oxycodone is SO MUCH stronger. Is it? I'm scared to death.
793219 tn?1238064201 that is what i thought but i was not sure im on a lot of med and they have been uping my lyrica and norco and fentanyl and im on a blood pressure med that dr said would help the nerves and wanted to see if this was somthing i need to talk to dr about the are going to be sending me to a pain management clinic.
