lyrica and children

Rx filled there before. Sometimes I feel like I live at Dr. offices and pharmacy between myself and my two children.

i m taking ritalin uno and i lost all apetite ,my doc put my on Lyrica to give me apetite,,i have noticed i have moodswings like a beast,and i feel weird ,"druggy",,happy ,exited,and snap to mean nasty grumps for a a few min and then back to happy ,i sleep very good thought but i wake up like a ,,monster! then i get up take my meds have a cup of coffee and feel bad for waking up like a monster,!! anyone taking this combo or can tell me anything about it.??

Ive been on lyrica and nuvigil fro fibro pain and fatigue, and just found out I'm pregnant. I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken either one of those while pregnant. I've stopped them for i was on only 50 mg of lyrica and about 100 of nuvigil. but I'm still worried, and i feel like I've been hit by a train once again, the pain is almost unbearable, i know my doc personally, have an appt. with him for the 12th.

WHAT REALLY UPSET ME ALL THESE YEARS PEOPLE THOUGHT I AM HYPOCONDREACT,I CAN PROOF EVERYTHING WRONG WITH ME MENTAL TEST ,TO LUNG XRAY,BUT NOT BACK AND LEG YET.I AM TIRED ALOT.DONT TAKE MUCH TO WEAR ME DONE AND I HAVE 2 CHILDREN 15 SON AND ALMOST 7 DAUGHTER.I HAVE STARTED EXERCIZING,EATING BETTER I DONT LIKE EATING BUT I GAINED WEIGHT SOMEHOW I NEED TO CHANGE THAT FAST.,AND MY DR ALSO TOLD ME MY VITAMIN SUPER B COMPLEX TAKE IT EVERYDAY.

Lyrica and Methotrxate did not help me for both RA and Fibro, but I know of some others that it has helped. Also there is a new drug approved for Fibro called Sevella, maybe you could try this. You should try Plaquenil and any other drug the doctors offer. It takes many trials of differnet drugs to find the right combination and correct cocktail that will work. Oh yea and ALOT of patiences. I have gone through several this year and still trying. Right now I am on Cellcept 1000mg 2X a day.

One thing I forgot to mention about Lyrica as far as effectiveness is that I kept feeling that I needed to increase the dose after just a little while. It was as though my body would adjust quickly and would become immune to the strength and the pain would return. This would happen quite often. I remember not liking that and being fearful that I would top out at the highest dose too fast because the amount I needed to keep up with the pain would keep increasing.

This was an excellent choice, as it helps with my anxiety, I use less clonazepam and I feel less drowsy. Lyrica did give me blurred vision and extra paranoia at the start, and that was indeed awful for the first couple weeks as I upped my dosage! After the initial troubles, I found that it really was better than gabapentin for me now. I have not gained weight, but remain the same weight I call my meds weight. I just try to remain active and not pig out.

Well its day 26 and I still have 12 Suboxone left and 4 Lyrica. I did good on one and poorly on the other.I am rather proud of myself and I read your post and experiences on ways to taper since my doctor doesn't care.My question is which should I try hardest to kick 1st? I see my doctor in 2 days and wonder what my next plan is and I am willing to do everything to beat this once and for all. I write down information, daily vitamins to take, I joined a gym.

Cymbalta has also had reports of causeing suicidal thoughts and on a molecular leval has a lot of simularities with lyrica so be catreful and stay in close contact with your doctor and us. I take lyrica 150Mg 3x per day and have never had that side effect but I keep a close watch. I also take an antidepresant called trazodone whitch is an older drug but one that is very easy to get along with. Best of luck and God bless.

My Dr was going to prescribe me lyrica for shingles pain but I was hesitant and refused at the time. I did some research on it when I got home and actually found that lyrica is approved in eroupe for anxiety. I also read reviews of people taking it for other things and found that it helped with their anxiety. Glad to know it is working for you. What dosage are you on?Where your prescribed the lyrcia for anxiety or something else? Hope it continues to help you.

You can get addicted to lyrica, it is a controlled substance. but if they work for you and take away the pain and you know you are gonna have to take them the rest of your life, who care.

Hello Leila006, It is not uncommon to have overlapping conditions such as RA and Fibromyalgia. I have Osteoarthritis of the spine, nerve damage and Fibromyalgia, which is different than what you are suffering from, but I have known a lot of people who have had both problems together. I am just guessing from what you have written, that the Lyrica has made you very drowsy...right?

I am in the same position with my husband. He is taking Lyrica and we would like to try having our first child. I know this was two years ago, but did your husband end up going off the Lyrica before you conceived?

I am taking 300 mg of Lyrica a day. I am having heavy swelling in my hands, feet and ankles and doctor put me on Lasix. It is helping a bit but still uncomfortable and pain. I've put a lot of weight on and am also having bad memory problems (can't find my words) and blurry vision. Is there anything that can be done that doesn't require me to get off of Lyrica? it really helps my pain. If I have to get off of it what is the best way to do so?

my question is the dr. prescribed lyrica for me and yesterday when i took it, i was feeling pretty weird and didn't really have the feeling of needing to take my methadone (35mg.), but i took it. Today i thought i might try not to take it. has anyone ever heard of lyrica for methadone withdrawel. it is very expensive at 300.00 a month, but i pay 420.00 month for the clininc. if anyone has heard is lyrica addciting?

Lifting and carrying young children is detrimental to my back. I also have RSD which I have been taking Lyrica, Cymbalta and Celebrex for the past 6 years. It is medically controlled and now the back. My head is spinning right now as I want to be here doing what I have always done.

I have been on lyrica for a while now. My doctor has increased the doseage and I am gaining weight in my stomach like crazy. Not sure what is going on with that, I don't want to gain any more weight than I am already carrying, which is alot. Next week I will be starting a heart healthy diet, my mom lives with me and has been seeing a cardiologist, so I figure that may help. If the diet doesn't help I may have to stop taking the lyrica.

Hey guys, I was takin 40-50 pills of coricidin (the OTC cough med for people with high blood pressure), and cuz i couldnt get them one day I over dosed on xanax and ambien and lyrica. I take Lyrica for my fibromyalgia on a regular basis, was hospitalized and not detoxed medically was not given anything to help with the detox symptoms. Drank last night (10-30-10) 2 drinks and am a WRECK today (Halloween) going to a party tonight and taking my children trick or treating. I'm a mess.

I just find that neurontin has basically no side effect and Lyrica does. I took Lyrica and the next day I was 10 times worse off due to pain and fatigue. But you have to decide for yourself whether this is the right drug for you. Remember if you do take it you have to have a card with you that states this in case of emergency where you cannot tell them yourself. I just read this site and was warned to not get pregnant that it would not be a good idea.

Hi, I take 75mg when needed for RLS and neuropothy, and it lays me out! I mean, a full on sleep. I was prescribed 75mg twice a day, but just couldnt take it and even come close to functioning. I keep it around now to help with W/D's and use it when i get spastic pain in my feet. It works great for that. Im sorry, but I dont get w/d from Lyrica and cant really help you with kinda dose. Im a big guy too, 6'2" and 220 pounds and that stuff layes me out!

I take Remeron for depression and Lyrica for the fibro pain. I could not sleep at night until I started the Lyrica and now I sleep right through. I wonder if it is the Cymbalta affecting your sleep.

While I was undiagnosed, I was on Neurontin for a couple of months and then tried Lyrica. I do think Lyrica relieved more pain, but it did cause me more side effects and in the end, I was not happy with the balance of relief vs. complications. Lyrica made me feel more dizzy and confused. For example, I would take my dose, and within minutes I wouldn't remember if I had taken it yet or not. That made me uncomfortable.

What exactly are cymbalta and lyrica? Aren't they anti-depressants? How do they help with the pain? Do they help with chronic fatigue as well? I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue, and the aches and pains(especially legs from my thighs to my ankels) are leading the doctor to think fibromyalgia. I was just wondering about these meds because I NEED some relief and I've heard many mentions of these meds. Can they be taken with provigil?

I also started having breast milk without being pregnant. My pharmacist and Dr took me off of Lyrica and the ticks slowed down and the breast milk went away. Pain became intolerable so they switched me to Lamectal and I have started breast milk again and well as a little more of the ticks than I had without any of the meds. Anyone with any ideas? I need the meds but I don't want the lactation to hurt my body in the long run.
