Lunesta withdrawal symptoms

Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta withdrawal symptoms

lunesta

Avatar f tn When I went through vicodin withdrawal I upped the dosage to 10mg, which was my script max. I have had withdrawal symptoms galore. I got body jerks, metallic taste, no memory, disorientation, depression, anxiety, difficulty swallowing, breathing difficulty, panic attacks, vertigo, high to low BP... on and on. My dreams were vivid. The very slow taper and OTC drugs helped with the insomnia. Are you back on Lunesta?
Avatar n tn You cannot just start cutting doses in half, and so forth. This is why a doctor should be the one giving the instructions, to minimize any withdrawal symptoms. You will most likely experience some rebound insomnia, so discuss other alternatives with your doctor for that as well. If I may ask, why do you want to stop taking the Xanax now?
Avatar f tn Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.
Avatar m tn I have been on 80 mg. Of oxy for a year now n quit cold turkey Friday night. I had no idea what I was in for. The muscle spasms , migriane followed by vomiting. Can't sleep so tried. Final call some local abuse hotline. They were closed for mlk. Call my doc. On 4th day gave Xanax for a week and lunesta at night is this a bad idea? My wife.
Avatar n tn Meds are definitely iffy. One of the best treatments for insomnia doesn't even require medicine. It's called Cognitive Behavior Therapy. It teaches you to have attitudes and behaviors that make sleep come more easily and help you get to sleep more quickly if you wake up. Also, )and this may sound surprising) insomnia is one symptom of sleep breathing disorders. Apnea is only one of them.
Avatar n tn It probably depends entirely on why you are getting it. Some things, like withdrawal of hormones during menopause, can be treated, others might not be so treatable. You should check with the appropriate doctor based on why you're getting the problem. Here is from Wikipedia: Causes of formication include normal states such as onset of menopause (i.e. hormone withdrawal). Other causes are medical conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, skin cancer, syphilis, Lyme disease or herpes zoster.
Avatar f tn Have taken two at bedtime, along with Lunesta and sometime phenergan for nausea. I never take anything during the day. Have been tapering off for four days. The worst time has been at night....really restless and cannot sleep. I have been having lots of dreams....which I cannot remember the last time I remember ever dreaming...is this related to tapering off hydrocodone? These four days have been difficult; however am wondering if the worse is yet to come?
Avatar f tn You have to taper or could have a seziure from the klonopin alone not to mention the other drugs you are taking. Benzo withdrawal symptoms can last for months and sleep may not return to a normal place for a year or more, but you are mixing a lot of medicine not to mention buying it illegally.
Avatar n tn Which sleep aid is less addicting and less toxic, ambien or lunesta. I have heard ambien is hard on your liver.
Avatar n tn Look up "magnesium deficiency symptoms" on the internet. It's a common deficiency. It would account for your above symptoms! Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I began to realize that it was possible this could be withdrawal and made a note to check the symptoms tomorrow at work. So here is day 3. I'm miserable. I feel like I was hit by a bus and have the worst flu of my life. I looked up the symptoms and was shocked to see that I had been experiencing precisely what cold turkey withdrawal is. Over the counter sleep aids haven't helped at all. Nobody in the world knows I was using these pills so nobody knows what I'm going through.
Avatar n tn looking for non script sleep aid for first week of vicodin withdrawal. my experience has been inability to sleep, frustration and lots of sighing and leg movement. within a week i am ok.
Avatar m tn ve tried it Rozerem is one alternative that unlike Ambien or the medication you mentioned or Lunesta does not have a potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it and is an FDA approved medication that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. You could ask your psychiatrist about that.
Avatar f tn At the same time, fatigue is a huge part of withdrawal. Its usually the symptom that lasts the longest. Could be that too.
Avatar f tn Certain adverse clinical events, some life-threatening, are a direct consequence of physical dependence to XANAX. These include a spectrum of withdrawal symptoms; the most important is seizure (see DRUG ABUSE AND DEPENDENCE). Even after relatively short-term use at the doses recommended for the treatment of transient anxiety and anxiety disorder (ie, 0.75 to 4.0 mg per day), there is some risk of dependence.
Avatar f tn I started taking Ambien & Prozac in Oct 2009. I started building a resistance so my doctor prescribed for me Restoril, that didn't work so she started me on Lunesta. After I started building a resistance to the Lunesta my doctor prescribed for me Ambien CR 12.5mg. It's now March 2010 and I need 4 or more Ambien CR to sleep. I can't sleep without it!!! I haven't taken the CR 12.5mg in 24hr and I have the common addiction symptoms.
Avatar f tn s will take me to get back to normal and sleep at least 2 hours a night? And will there be BAD withdrawal symptoms?
1580703 tn?1651904887 I suggest that you consult your primary care physician for careful titration of the dose or an alternative drug in case the symptoms are distressing. Abrupt withdrawal of this drug can also lead to tremors. If the symptoms persist despite dose modification, twitching would require investigation. You are welcome with any further clarification. Take care.
1094370 tn?1317134825 I guess my body could be going thru some withdrawal from the Xanax which is increasing my symptoms or I could be herxing or both. As I right this, I'm feeling a tingling sensation on my right hip. I'M FREAKING OUT!!!! AND STARTING TO WORRY ABOUT MS AGAIN!!! UUGGGHHHH..... I think I'll call my doctor who is working with me on the Xanax withdrawal. Maybe I shouldn't be doing this right now while I'm trying to heal from Lyme and echrilocsis or however it is spelled.
Avatar f tn They say its non addictive but LIARs Liars, pants on fires. I have heard of horrific withdrawal stories from it. Lunesta gave me the metalic taste as does Ambien. Also makes my gums inside my cheeks sore and jaw pain. Had to get off of both. Lyrica makes me sleep all night and half the morning so, Im not taking it anymore. Not a good drug for sleeping if that's what your looking for. Has addictive qualities.
Avatar m tn Hi well im familier with lenesta was on it for over a year the only withdrawal I had was some mild anxzity and not being able to sleep for quit some time your body clock needs to reset itself I had insomnia for over a month it takes so time but you will be able to sleep I did find a really good tea that I still use it is called ''Traditional medicinals nighty night'' you can get it at walmart it with the other tea's im bipolar so insomnia is one of the symptoms...
Avatar f tn am i just about thru the withdrawal phase?
Avatar m tn t, though abrupt discontinuation of taking it can lead to withdrawal symptoms similar to those of benzodiazepine withdrawals and those are pretty close to what alcohol DTs look like without detoxing under medical care. I've been on benzodiazepines for 15 years now, and while this is purely anecdotal, I've gone off with no taper because I just didn't need them after a medication change or something such as that and I've yet to go through anything serious.
