i have a lump under my ear behind the corner of my jaw andit hurts all the way to the front of my ear. not in it the front. and its way under the skin what can i do?

Hi, just last night, I was laying in bed, and rolled to my right side, and as I turned my head over on my pillow, I noticed it was painful. Today. I've noticed it all day, there is a slight lump on the right side under my jaw. It is moveable, and isn't excruciating just yet. When I apply pressure, or face my head downwards, it gets very sore. I am very curious to know if this is heard of commonly or not, and if it is a serious problem. Thank you!

Hi everyone. I woke up this morning and noticed a small lump under my left ear. It's between my ear and the top of the jaw line. Should I be worried for another infection? Does anyone know of any possibilities it could be?

I found a dime size painless lump under my jaw line on the right side. I have allergies to air irritants but I am not currently suffering from the symptoms and I don't have a cold. The left side has no lumps. Please help. (although no blood relation i just had a family member diagnosed with cancer in the same area) So I am very worried. Please Help.

I also have a lump under my zygomatic arch, with a thick tendon or muscle stretching down to the angle of the jaw under my ear. Involuntary smiler/clencher due to social anxiety since childhood, so I think this is the result. I've been offered a contrast MRI but had one three years ago for a neck injury and they saw nothing in the zygomatic region then. Not sure I want more gadolinium injected just to get the same assessment. Any details are appreciated.

m a 24 year old female-A couple of months ago I woke up with a painful pea to marble sized lump under the skin on my ear. It is located right where my ear connects to my head, on the bottom. Like if I were to pull my earlobe away from my head, it is in that "flap" of skin. Because it was painful and hard, I assumed it was a boil as I have had these in the past. I treated it with warm washclothes and heating pads, but the lump never softened or drained, however, the pain did go away.

Hello, I am a 42 year old female and about 2 weeks ago I noticed a tender spot under my lower jaw bone. It became increasingly tender and then I noticed a lump on the bone under the lower jaw and it is hurting more and more. It seems to be growing as well. Now when I look in the mirror it looks like that area is swollen but if you touch you can feel the hard lump on the jaw bone. It doesn't move around and it has become so painful it hurts if I yawn or clear my throat.

t always have to be painful. Is the lump soft and moveable, or hard? The swelling under the right ear may very likely be a lymph node, too...but it doesn't make sense that it would disappear 15 minutes after you have eaten. Have you had either of these things evaluated by a doctor, potentially a specialist like an ENT?

It is significantly larger than my left side. I also developed a lump between my ear and jaw. (same side) It is not something that is easily felt from the outside by others. However, I can feel it and move it around. It hurts to do so though. After six months of on and off again low grade fevers of 99-100 degrees (my normal temp is 97.8 - 98) I went to a walk in clinic. The doctor ran a blood test on me and determined that my blood work was fine. they thought I was okay.

Hi, My husband is 42 yrs old, and 2 weeks ago noticed a FIRM (not rock hard) oval lump around 1.3cm by1.8cm behind his left ear. It's a hard place to explain,It is right in that soft spot directly under the earlobe, right up in the soft bit where the crease is right up near ear cartilage. Went to Doctors he said its not the paritod gland and he said alhough its firm, it moves slightly he said it was a cyst, he said its smooth and oval .

I have this small lump behind my left jaw line and under ear for almost 1 years now, it does feel pain and uncomfortable, I went the 2 different ENT doctors and did 2 CT scan, one with ink one without both report come out nothing....... but the small pain and feeling it still there also feel pain infront of my ear and inside mouth around jaw join but open or close jaw doen't feel pain. So should I try a different ENT again?? or can this be cancer?? what should I do now??

I also have noticed that my spit gland located under my ear and in the area of where the jaw hinges is either swollen or has some sort of soft movable lump on it. I am getting headaches too. Could all of this be caused by that impacted wisdom tooth?

I have discovered that there is a lump right under the ear where the jaw connects. That whole side of my face is swollen, hot and painful. It is also triggering headaches and causing the muscles from my jaw and all the way to my left shoulder to swell! One other thing I have noticed is that a small part of my left side of my tongue is going numb. Should I be at the doctors tomorrow or the emergency? I don't smoke, don't drink, I don't take any illegal drugs.

dont really know where this would go , but anyway iv found a lump on the side of my face you cant see it but can defo feel it and it hurts abit wen i do touch it , its just under where my ear joins to my jaw , i dont know whether its a bone thats come loose but it just rolls round abit , i can eat fine etc just have no idea what it is !!! But i still have this discomfort on either side under my jaw , i can still feel a lump either side too touch , under jawline. (If i feel for it) which the doctors say they cant. And also when i lie down on my left hand side only and feel my jaw on a certain point it gets quite painfull , when i stand it goes away THIS IS WEARING ME OUT PLEASE HELP !!

I have severe pain in my jaw and it is difficult to close my mouth without tension/pain. It sends stabbing pain both in my jaw and ear at night. I also have a lump on the jaw joint near my ear!!! Hi, for the last three months I have been feeling dizzy, so i went to the doctor and was told I have vertigo, and that it will come and go. I went again to the doctor yesterday as my ears have been itchy, he told me I have mild excema in the ear, I've also had cracking slightly in the ear. Then last night while washing my face I noticed a small marble size lump near my ear and jaw. It doesn't hurt but isn't normal. Any ideas. The doctor didn't pick this up.

s connected (started recently), pain/tightness - what feels like a super tight muscle knot/ball - at the back base of my jaw right below the ear, ear tube pain, ringing in my ears, more so on the right side, which also hurts more. Have a small (unmovable) lump on right side in mouth almost directly under bottom molars.
