Avatar n tn I have this really painful lump or bump under my chin i just notices it and i tryed to see if it moves and it doesnt! what do you think it is? iam pretty scared and i have no acne so i know its not that. Do you think i should get a doctor to check it out?
Avatar n tn To feel the lump you have to push up under the chin near the neck, and then it pops out. I'm able to move the lump to my jawline. It's very, very mobile. I've had swollen lymph nodes before but never anything like this. It is not painful just tender and slightly uncomfortable. I also have a canker sore in my mouth on the same side as it, I don't know if this could be related but felt I should mention it anyways.
Avatar m tn this is getting treated soon.. Basically I discovered strange shaped lump under my chin/jaw.. I believe it's in the submandibular region. It's above my adam's apple, under my chin slightly to the left (my left).. When I feel it, it feels like it starts out very thin, and then starts to expand outwards.. the widest section of the lump is no larger than my thumb..and the general length in total is less than my thumb.. It feels quite hard, doesn't move that freely.
Avatar f tn Hi. My 16 year old daughter has a small, hard lump under her chin. It doesn't hurt, skin is clear and does not itch. I am getting ready to take her to a dermatologist regarding moderate acne. I'm just worried that this could be something more serious.....like cancer. It has apparently been there for about two weeks and she just told me tonight. Any suggestions on what this could be? Thank you very much for your time.
Avatar f tn I recently noticed that when I put my chin to my chest, I could feel a lump or something on the left side of under my jawbone. I felt around, and I can't really feel anything unusual when my head is upright. Or rather, I can feel something smooth there, but I think I always had it on both sides. But when I tilt my head forwards and poke my fingers underneath my jawbone I can feel a small lump that I can "move" to the chin side of my jawbone quite easily.

Avatar n tn i have a lump under my chin towards my neck (where i have a bit of fat on my chin) and since this morning it has grew, its very painful to touch and is making me feel quite sick (but that could be the worry) anyone no what it could be?
Avatar n tn My husband has a lump under the skin on the point of its chin (not under, on, and towards the left). It's diameter is between 1/3 and 1/2 of an inch. He says it has grown to that size over a period of a month and then stabilized. It is not painful, no sign of redness, hard and pebble-like to the touch, moving under the skin (not attached to the bone). He dismissed it as a lipoma (he has many on his body), but he is at last having this checked by a dermatology in a few weeks.
Avatar m tn I recently noticed a hard lump under my bottom lip. I tried to hold a hot rag up to it and I applied Differin to the affected area. I haven't seen any results. The skin is very tender and only painful when pressure is applied to it. I have never had a problem like this before so I have no idea what it could be. I was just wondering what it could be and how I might be able to get rid of it. Thanks, Liam.
Avatar m tn However, once every few weeks, maybe even months (it's hard to remember), I will get one (maybe 2 on extremely rare occasions) huge, pressured, painful bump on my chin.
Avatar f tn A few days ago, I went to rest my chin on my hand, and I noticed a vague bruise-like pain just under my chin. When I touched just under my chin, seemingly attached to the right side of the chin bone, just to the right of that center line where the two sides of the lower jaw meet, I felt a very hard, immobile bump. It will not budge---I've pressed on it with all my might from each side and from straight up; it's hard as bone, but I cannot tell if it's definitely attached to the jaw/chin.
Avatar f tn i just found a lump under my chin near my throat that is quite painful to touch- is this something to worry about or could it just be a swollen gland?
Avatar m tn I think I have the same thing- my chin is very inflamed (from the ends of my mouth down to my chin) as well as under my chin (it kindda looks like I have a double chin but I know that's not it...). I noticed this after I shaved my goatee off that I had for about 3 months. It's been about 6 months since I've shaved it and it still hasn't gone down....
Avatar n tn I recently felt what feels like a lump under my sternum, it feels like its connected to my sternum and only way i even relized he was there was because i was feeling around my stomach area one day. It really doesnt bother me but lately ive been noticing it more and more. I dunno if its all in my head just because i found it. Im just wondering if I should go see a doctor, ive read of the xiphoid process and im not sure if thats what it is.
Avatar m tn The lump is located on my neck, to the right side of my chin but a bit further back (like halfway between under my ear and my chin. I went to a walk-in clinic because I couldn't get an appointment at my doctors, and they told me it is probably just a throat infection, but I do not have a sore throat. It is gettin so painful that I get scared of waking up in the mornings because the pain gets alot worse everyday. Can anyone give me any advice?
4763188 tn?1358871879 My son felt a burning flow of maybe acid reflux stuff in neck directly under his chin where the tounge is on the right side. He then felt pain & burning from that area travel to the fenulum( under tounge) & a lump appeared that is very painful, could this be a salivatory gland issue? He can not even eat yogurt or the discomfort is almost unbearable. This happened as he was eating ice cream, don't know if that is related or not.

Avatar f tn About 3 weeks ago I noticed soreness under my knee. I also have a lump about the size of a marble. It is below my knee, like on my upper chin. I have not injured it, nor does it look bruised or swollen. Just a lump that hurts to touch and move my leg. It is fixed and does not move nor is it soft There is no discoloration. What could this be?
Avatar f tn Nancy, you get a lump under your chin when you have a sore throat because you have a lymph node there, which swells due to your immune system fighting an infection. You also have lymph nodes under your arms and near your groin. Though I do not believe there are any in the area Mommy2B is describing. I think she is referring to her pubic synthesis. It could be inflamed due to strained ligaments, but I am not very familiar with the attachments in the area.
Avatar f tn It was not painful at all i had it for a month but however it did go away but just the other day i found another pearl sized lump under my chin that is also painless. So I am just curious do i just wait it out or see a doctor?

Avatar n tn Hello, I have just got my tongue pierced just under a week ago and a lump has formed on the outside under my chin, I'm really worried about it, it is slightly painful and is quite hard. If anyone can help/tell me about what this is, please do Thank you.
Avatar f tn Hi, A few weeks ago I noticed that I had a small hard lump under my chin, in the soft area in the middle of the underside of my jaw. It is a lump I had noticed on previous occasions, in previous years, but which is not always noticeable. I now believe that it may be a lymph node (at present it is unnoticeable, having shrank). Around a week later I noticed a small hard lump behind my ear - just under a centimetre in diameter and literally in the crease between my ear lobe and my neck.
Avatar n tn Now, in the last 2 weeks, I have gotten large, very painful lumps ranging from pea to dime size, cyst-like lumps on my chin line under my goatee. After about three days of their presents(I know you shouldn't do this)I applied pressure and a hair literally shot straight out of a pore like a dart leaving about 1/16 of it in the skin which slid right out when I pulled it. It was coated with a waxy, pus looking build up.
Avatar n tn I'd assumed these were swollen lymph nodes, possibly a result of cat scratch disease. However, I currently have a small, tender lump on the front of my chin, slightly to the side. It's roughly right between the corner of my lip and my jawbone. It's not as painful and tender as the lumps I had on my neck/jaw, but still a bit tender nonetheless. I also can't really tell if the lump moves or not when I touch it.
