I might well be -- this is a common allergy symptom, and this is allergy season.

I am 7 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and occasionally have a feeling of having a lump in my throat. Almost like I have something stuck in there. I will swallow a couple times though, and then it is gone. Anyone experience this as well during early pregnancy?

Whenever I get anxious I get a giant lump in my throat and it makes me gag and choke and sometimes dry heave. My bowels also get irritated. I get gas and I have discomfort and sometimes I have diahreaa. When this happens when I get anxious all I think about is throwing up and it makes me feel worse. I think about it and I close my eyes and picture myself being sick and then I feel worse.

I've had the same thing, it's been goin on for about 4 months I feel like something is lodged in my throat and sometimes I hear popping noise. Of course I also got told by a doctor that I had acid reflux but none of my medicine works .. When I swollow it sometimes feels like hair is fought in my throat weird huh.. It scares me to death I've lost 15 pounds in about 3 months .. I feel like I want to throw or gag up my food to help my throat but of course that doesn't help..

I am 11 weeks and since I was 10 weeks I've had this mucus lump thing in my throat and it comes and goes It makes me either gag or throw up and I can't get rid of it?. Anybody else? Is there a medicine my doctor can prescribe? It's horrible..

Waiting for appointment with throat specialist said he will give me scope in throat,so nervous,hope they put me to sllep when put scope down throat,do they as have very badgaug reflax,cant even swallow pills.doctor put me on Pantoprazole for acid reflux says like nexium,so nervous hope they find out what wrong,hope not throat cancer or something serious like that from smoking all those years,left side hurts to touch,physio trying laser on it.sore throat in morning too,but gets better in the day.

Hi....when u say the lump in ur throat affects ur singing...what do u mean? It can be GERD/acid reflux...or it can be chiari affecting u.... When it affected my singing, my throat felt like I had spasms...and my voice was gone, nothing was coming out....and it felt strange like when u cry or get emotional, this is y I asked this of Heather....I had no idea it was chiari and b4 I got my dx my DD thought I was just lip singing in church...I felt bad, but I could not get nething out.

I've had this constant lump in my throat feeling for days now. Nothing seems to relieve it. I actually tried to not eat yesterday except some tea, soup and crackers and it didn't go away. I finally got a flashlight and looked down into my throat and saw a white solid stone like substance sticking halfway out of a hole in my tonsil. Enough to make me gag and try to wretch it up over and over. I looked it up online and found out it was a tonsil stone. I had never heard of that at all. I saw youtube videos showing how people get them out. I have a sensitive gag reflex so it was not easy. Most people use a cue tip and push on the side of the stone and pop it out.

common for anyone who has had a recent throat infection... the throat is irritated to the point that when it's dry it has a tingling poking itch that makes you cough and gag. This will go away after the throat irritation is gone, but I've had it when I get a cold, or on dry mornings. Drinking water does not help because the dry irritation isn't resolved - usually coughing so much that the mucous builds up and your swallow will cover it - but that's hardly what anyone wants.

I also get that sore feeling in my throat. Not the lump, but a sore ache that feels like it is in the same place as the herniation, only in the front of my throat...

one of my favorite things to do is work out but it is very hard to exercise when you always feel like you are going to gag. I can hardly eat anything because the feeling sometimes makes me nauseated.

Whenever I get really nervous, I can feel that lump in my throat like so many other people. Anxiety can cause a myriad of symptoms that are very hard to comprehend and deal with in my opinion. Have you been to the doctor about it? Has he/she said you are fine? If you have had anxiety problems for awhile, are you able to seek help for it through threapy? For me, the best way to deal with these problems is to learn about it...

Omg...something in my kitchen/living room makes me gag everytime I go in there...I dread coming home from work sometimes...it's crazy...lol...I sure hope this smell sensitivity is a good sign for my baby...I have breast tenderness also...sometimes the thought of how something smells makes me gag and throw up...it's crazy...any similar stories..I'm also 9 weeks and like 5 days pregnant...

t vomit anymore or feel the need to gag. My throat still makes a weird gurgling noise sometimes and I still feel the need to burp. For the past month I have also been expieriencing trouble with taking a deep breath. Whenever I breathe I feel restricted: like I can’t get enough air. It seems to be worse in the morning and at night. Even going up the stairs I have to pause and catch my breath. I am also coughing a little and constantly feel the need to clear my throat.

These days it seems like everything is a trigger to make me sick. The thought of food even makes me gag. I eat one or two bites and thats it. I will gag until I vomit if I eat anymore. I really seem to have some good luck with icees/alushes though. For some reason as long as im slurping down one of those my stomach is good.

Agreed...CBT is a great way to confront this. Just remember to apply what you learned. Having a 'lump in the throat' is a classic sign of anxiety in my opinion. It really depends what you focus on in my experience. When I was concerned about my health and it was one particular symptom I was worried about, I would tend to focus in on that part of my body and naturally all sorts of symptoms related to it would arise. CBT helped TREMENDOUSLY for me.

I feel like I have a glump . Of mucus in my throat and it makes me gag. Is there any medication I can take to break it up???

Ive got the same , it just stuck at the back of my throat and feels horrible , i went nd saw a throat specialist and they told me basically i have acid reflux , i cant remember the exact name of it , ive had it my entire pregnancy havent been able 2 take any pregno care tablets because i would just throw them up , got the medience but not taking it till after my pregnancy as i dont trust certain tablets while being pregnant lol

Hi, I need help with a few symptoms I've been having lately. I'm a smoker, and when I used to smoke menthols, I'd spew afterwards. So I swapped my smoke and went back to brown butts as I thought it would stop me from spewing. (I know I shouldn't be smoking but anyway) It did stop me from gagging for some time and feeling like something was stuck in my throat, like phlegm so I thought it was just because of the menthol smokes.

For the past 15 years, I've had issues with my throat. I have been to 20+ doctors and they have all been stumped and gave up. I now am experiencing a feeling of a lump in my throat when I swallow and the front of my neck seems swollen or enlarged. It is very difficult to swallow if my head is even slightly titled up. What could be causing this?
